if you look more closely, you'll see the stormtrooper aim is totally off (as always !). DayZ is the only place in the world where a stormtrooper can actually hit something, and it due to the massive desynch !

i'd take a magnum over an AKu, this piece of garbage has no stopping power, it takes ages to drop a player with it. spray a player at 1m distance, he will have time to empty his mag before hitting the ground. MP5 and UMP all the way for CQC

that SR is pure gold, i love the direction this game is taking ! helicopters parts could be looted on helicopter crashes (would act as a world container with 1,2,3 or more parts on it)

shuuuuuuuuttttttt, turovo/kamanovka is my loot routine when in spawn in svetlo. i always leave those towns with a backpack, plenty of food, 2 weapons and ammo for it. i'm all for prison on the west, kamensk mil base is not that far from novo ;). and remember that there is an humvee next to the former prison, it should attract a least some players.

RPG is not a bad idea with the upcoming helicopters and new cars. RPGs should be not that hard to find, maybe a little less abundant than the AKM, but the ammo should be very VERY rare. i would love to see RPG ammo spawning in dynamic ammo hidden stash. make it 2 by server, only in the forest, hard to see (a few ammo box hidden under a dirty sheet) in 200 possible spawn places. ammo should spawn in various states with increased chances of faillures when damaged.

i agree with that, but there is still one thing that is bugging me : why do they keep on giving overly optimistic ETA on beta ? DayZ is currently severly bashed on steam revieww by a large number of players being dishonest/unaware/ignorant on what's going on in the development. that's a thing, but i don't like hearing hicks telling us that beta is going to be delayed by one or two month a most, meaning early march 2016. to keep this agenda, they need to add in the next 4 month : - new renderer - new player controler - new sound module - new inventory - plenty of new animations - advanced melee - precise object placement - cost effective zombie AI - dangerous animals - dangerous animal AI - advanced crafting - new chambering fonction - basic shelter construction - advanced base building - contaminated area - all diseases and working cures - tisy mil area - decently working aircraft - motor bike - motor bike animation - companions (dog at least, horse maybe) - companions AI - player stats - players aging/scars to me, that's 4 month + A YEAR at least before reaching beta with bug fixing, polishing and optimisation. a 4 years development time is ok for a game that big with all know difficulty explained by C. Torchia (problems and solutions probably extended to all part of the development team). but please don't tell us it's going to be done by march, every single person following closely this website know it's not possible.

it's a funny looking gun for sure ! i like the lazer/no sights. the thing i like with the mini revolver is that you don't need a mag, find the gun, find the ammo and you're good to go, plus there is only one revolver ingame. -

more loot / weapons on private hives

current loot situation on private (and non wiped) servers is quite fine to me, weapons are still overabundant. i play a lot on UK/US/EU all welcome (very populated private hive) and i don't have trouble finding low tier and medium tier weapons. dynamic events still provides me MP5K's, AUGs and UMPs and SVD/M4 remain unicorns weapons. in a 3h sessions recently, i've found a few blaze, 1 hunting scope, 4-5 magnums, sporters, IZH 18/43, multiple makarov an P1 pistols. that's a little too mutch weapons for me. canned food is way to abundant too while backpacks are hard to find near spawn locations. -
impact on his gun i think, bad luck ! too mutch precipitation but an overall nice positionning (which is the most important).

I love DayZ too mutch to quit :) . but without infected, being almost alone on those 200+km² is beyond boring. i had good fun with german guys i met on a 3PP, even if we peek corners :lol: . i was sad to see that UKA turned low pop. that snowball effect is sick, the most people you have the more people will try to join. the less you have, well... it will stay empty. i'm kinda bored with whitelist server too, making a candidate letter for a game is way to serious for me plus moost of the time, whitelist = RP and i HATE roleplaying mechanics usually involved (why makes rules for a sandbox game ?). i hope you'll regain some players, i'll be back on UKA 1PP ;) -

i prefer 1PP myself, but i swithched to 3PP because i have trouble finding private hive 1PP servers with high pop. sad days :( -
the AKM is too hard to control when shouldered in 1st person, while going full auto in 3rd perso is way more manageable. i've not seen any AK drum mags in a while too, which is ok to me. when loaded on an AKM, turning speed should be reduced. drum mags should be usefull only on a RPK style weapon. The problem you show here is tied to public/private hive fonctionnement. on a highly populated server on a private hive, finding a high end weapon such as aug's/m4/UMP/SVD is very VERY difficult. raiding the NWAF mean you'll run into 5-10 unfriendly peoples at least and chances to find a just respawned high end weapon are pretty low. high risk and high reward, i love it (even if respawn rate are a little to low at the NWAF on a 50/50 server). the actual loot system works pretty well for highly populated private hives. on public hives : you can chose a low populated server, loot the NWAF without risks and you are almost assured to find a high end weapon. do it again and all your crew is kitted up. no fun, no risk, high reward... it's not working well IMO. public hive gather a shitload of gaming issues, (combat log, hopping, making camps on low pop servers, gearing up on empty server, fighting on full ones...). private hives is the only easy answer right now. try wobo servers or UK/EU/US all welcome server, nice highly populated private hives !

i have a way weaker rig and i can play the game, try "improve FPS dayz" and you should find effective tutorials. the most effective way to gain FPS is to lower view distance (but you will not see player at long distance, which is a huge disaventage in PVP situation). my rig : i7-2670 GTX 570M scandisk SSD 250go 8gb ram i have around 50 FPS in the wilderness, 15-30 in cities. playable for sure.
