well me personally ill log onto a server at night and watch for activity in cherno or elektra and if there isn't any ill hit the hospital the church and the fire house and if wire gets in my way i brake it down with my trusty toolbox and leave besides wire and tank traps aren't what you should be worried about the bear traps ... they will kill you http://www.dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=18575

easy shot or not i just enjoy watching my Bandit Killed count ticking up with each shot 2 ... 3.. 4...

I was wondering if someone might have a table i could reference for the AS50 so that i could range my target properly (haven't been able to find a range finder :P) and no I'm not a PK'er the reason I ask is because I saw a guy with a makarov harassing someone atop the fire house in elektra and when I sighted in to kill him to "hopefully" help a fellow survivor i missed and both DC'ed so in the end it doesn't matter but id like to be more ... help next time -Thanks in advance

I feel that would be a step backwards ... if you make guns food and ammo more scarce then anybody with it becomes a huge target i honestly feel that no matter what we do there will always be PK hungry douches until they get bored. and if we did make all of this more rare whats going to stop "PK'ers" from Running around AXE'ing people if the have supplies... ^^^ LuLz :D

was loading into to a server loged of the night before with full helath and "decent" gear before the receiving screen had finished i heard gunshots and loaded to the "Your Dead" screen... face rolled my keyboard :P lol

You should be fine the L85A2 AWS is a legitimet weapons in DayZ http://dayzwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=L85A2_AWS but the real question is whether or not you feel OK with using a weapon that you know was "cheated" in LoLz to the fact you pop'ed a hacker and stole his stuff though but if you are that worried just ditch the gun and ammo ASAP

Really? even counting the bicycle Ive been playing for months now and the only vehicle i ever encountered was the bus at the mosque in Elektra but that was the very first time i played Just checked the DayZ wiki http://dayzwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Vehicles its not listed so id call a "hack" ... maybe or maybe you just encountered a super ultra rare spawn

Best place ... probably where all the vehicle loot hoarders go the outer most corners of the map or random areas in the woods

You know I have had my fair share of bandit mishaps and I have come to hate/love them because while it is a survival simulator the idea of the game is to see how long you last and (the expediency is low) i find myself bored after awhile once i have top of the line gear (never seem to be able to find a GPS though :P) ... so i headed back to the coast in seek of companion ship with some gear to spare and 9 times out of 10 i get shot on my way through elektra (think of the sqweeling laughture of the bandit who just hit the Mother faqking jackpot) but i don't mind because my favorite part of the game is getting the stuff so that i can defend my self i kind of compare it to minecraft you start with nothing and you progress to the end where you eventually slip up and have to start all over again or you get bored and start a new world any way) but as much as i love PVP, intense gunfights and stand offs and all. It would NOT hurt the bandits to lay off the new Spawned/player killing i do get annoyed if i get shot within 5-10 minutes or spawing or get shot randomly while loging in so really until there is an "end game" i fine with the way the game is

now forgive me if you find this bland but here i go I was playing on a server in the NC region and it was dark and I had no ammo or food a bandage a lee enfield and a blood transfusion pack. Then along came a man he/she asked "you in the office friendly?" and a responded "yes" and we began to help each other he/she gave me some ammo and I watched his/her back as we moved through elektra we moved to the temple(church) where we were attacked by zombies my new found friend had lost some blood and i had found a transfusion pack earlier (what luck :D ) so i gave him/her the transfusion and we continued on. we made it to the fire house where we found a dead player in the corner and began to scavenge but then a single zombies roamed to close and we had to put it down one shot was all it took. zombies began to pour in and we kept shooting making what might be are last stand they just kept coming... at least we weren't alone... and then silence down to our last clips... we had made it through that horde that attacked us! we exchanged congratulations and then threw flares to make sure the coast is clear i was only going to be a moment i steeped in to the street to see where we would move next and asked "should we move?" ... he/she never got that message. executed from behind by a coward named chance .... i turned around and put a bullet in between his eyes ... i stood over the body's of both of them ... stripped them of gear and stashed it in a corner of the fire house with hope maybe just maybe my ally would make it back. 1-2 hours later ... he/she never came I left the gear ashamed of the fact i didn't protect him/her :( Few times have i ever left gear if by chance Him/her are reading this I tip my hat to you You have my respect and deepest apologies May fate deal you kinder hand if our paths cross again

if your a casual gamer like me if you want to roll in a group Join a clan There are plenty out there Im trying to get in to a couple clans now ex FoxFall now when you join a clan they aren't just going to say oh yeah come join us you have to earn there trust even if this feature was implemented whats stopping someone from joining a group and gunning every one down looting and hoping to the next group (Greifing) while i can see the validity of your point if you want a group in dayZ even if you are a casual player your going to have to build trust with a group of people maybe even outside the game itself

The names BEAR im Irish zombies are my mortal enemy trying to join a group ... i dont like bandits
