nothing works after install dasy mod
LazlowRave replied to hudat's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
I am having issues joining servers. I first thought this would be a DayZ issue but it seems I jumped the gun and went for DayZ first. I knew I would like DayZ but seeing how Arma2 is an upgraded version of FlashPoint - Dragon Rising for Xbox I was interested in trying the game itself. So I downloaded everything needed and went for the cake trying to play DayZ with installed components from DayZ Commander. I only have Arma2 and Arma2 CO and DayZ Mod from Steam. DayZ Commander was outsourced.... -
There does seem to be plenty of modifications to the original mod which Steam give to download. I would suggest searching "vanilla" which requires no mod. I am however a newbie too and have been in a few, I'm using DayZ Commander to download various mods. But I generally want to know which mods are best to get, in order to play in most common DayZ servers.

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
LazlowRave replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
Military Zombie OP? They wear military uniforms. I've one hit normal civilian zombies with machete and axes being Energized and Hydrated in green and hit them when they're down to make sure. What makes a bulletproof vest resistant to sharp melee damage? I'd understand if this zombie model is more resistant to small arms fire, but sharp melee weapons? I've yet to drop a military uniformed zombie with a sharp melee weapon because after nearly dying three times I just run from them. Is this just me? -
Increase walking/running speed while on incline

Regardless how far everyone decides to pick at the physics I can't help to notice they are not accurate to a point where its a tiny hill. -
Have to remember that most people are on TeamSpeak and hostile bandits kind disregard friendly people and would choose to kill them. Not always a score killing innocents all the time but I'd assume killing 10 you get at least 1 good item. Its a bad business but when you kill people who do all the scavenging, its a work-less convenience.

Climbing a hill can be time consuming, but I'm not climbing a mountain here, a small hill and it slows me to a snails pace. I understand sprinting up a hill isn't consistent with real life, but it's current setting is a bit comical when the hill is small, and a zombie is right behind you.

Purchased DayZ over a week ago, played it for the first time today that was longer than ten minutes.... Played for couple hours, exploring and fleeing from any combat being zombie or human. Stayed away from cities. Got some decent loot and a backpack. Shotgun with about 20 rounds and plenty of 7.62 rounds hoping to find a rifle to scrap my shotgun. Perfect clothes where weather or rain wasn't a bother. Hatchet, plenty of food and a water bottle. I was loaded and well off. Died instantly walking down some stairs. Said I broke my leg or something. Idk what that was about. Thought to myself, "Alpha version..."

Or a toy light gun, that makes zombies run away for a couple seconds.

LazlowRave - or just Lazlow, or Rave either or doesn't matter. Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition was a game I played insanely too much. Ended up getting a decent computer for a decent price, moved over to PC gaming. Haven't touched my Xbox in a month. Spreading my wings to other games, I ended up seeing DayZ Standalone. Sure, I thought about getting the Arma2 DayZ Mod, but I was worried I'd end up playing more of the Arma2 game itself, not the mod. Plus I wanted to help with development by purchasing the Alpha version of DayZ to get a feel of the game in it's infancy. Do love playing with other people. Only ran into 4 people getting supplies in cherno. Two shot me dead. 50/50 for KOS or friendly... be nice to weight the friendly side down a bit more....
