It's probably not the cow. Sounds like cholera. Did you drink pond water? -
Rich gets richer, the poor gets poorer

Zombies are a pain in the ass right now if they hit you, but once you know how they work they're pretty easy to manage. Last night I gathered up a horde of nine of them in the Solnichny factory. Very easy to close them in while I hunted for more. Once I left to try to kite them down to Kamishovo and build my horde, I discovered that they all stopped on an invisible wall on the train tracks. I'll put up a video of it later. I laid down in front of them for a while and hung out. I think it's to keep them in their cities. Shoot them, trap them, or run away until they get stuck behind an invisible wall. Cake. And as far as food goes, you don't have to cook meat right now and Kuru seems to be temporarily disabled, so eat some people! -

Gotta say I disagree here. Everything about zombies that makes them a threat has to be fictionalized. Either these people are very sick, meaning they should be significantly weakened by their immune response, or they are animated corpses, which introduces a whole bag of problems. First, human bodies are in a delicate homeostasis. If our bodies stop working all sorts of gross shit happens that doesn't make it easy to chase and eat people. Dead bodies are raw meat. After a few days if nobody embalms that body it's going to do a lot more than start to stink. It's going to partially liquify, build pressure, and explode. Within a week or two the shambling corpses pretty much take care of themselves. In the mean time you've got seriously compromised bodies with clearly totally fucked minds that have to bite through your flesh to infect you. How exactly do you even get an outbreak? Oh man, this dead looking guy is shuffling toward me, barely able to hold his own body up, I better stand still so he can bite me. No, no I don't think so. A realistic zombie apocalypse sees patient zero in a mental ward and could be contained inside a day by the CDC if they actually managed to bite enough people for them to be aware of the contagion. Basically you'd just lock your doors for a few days. Easy. -

Cool! That third guy didn't actually die (broken arm, though), but it's neat to see things from an attacker's perspective! There were a lot of people attacking one another out there. At one point we had all the guards inside the warehouse and we could still hear a firefight going on! Thankfully, we managed to keep all the traders safe, though! Do you have any other videos? I'll probably link that one on the site if you guys don't mind. -

We generally stick to our age limit for our own in-house guards, but if we've got other clans working as mercenaries we pretty much leave that part up to them. People need to be able to take orders and be integrated into our chain of command, but we'll also usually delegate secondary leadership of the outside group to the highest ranking member within their own system. Basically I'm not interested in training a bunch of teenagers and bringing them into my core group, but if somebody else can handle them (while still under my command) I'm fine with it as long as they're using the mic discipline, following orders, being nice to the traders, and not doing anything incredibly stupid. We had a lot of fun! You guys should drop by this afternoon! -

10p GMT, though we sometimes start a bit late, so check TS or our site to make sure we're open. It's also a good idea to be in ts so you'll know what's going on during a reset. If you log back in before we establish a perimeter you might expose yourself to bandits. -

It's certainly been something we've dealt with from time to time. People with scripts causing us trouble or people with no lives stirring up drama and trying to make organizing this stuff more trouble than its worth. People have logged into my ts with my parents' names and whispered me stuff that's probably from my Facebook. Others have stirred up drama in communities we've been involved in. Hell, there are a couple well known traders on this forum who attacked the trading post and publicly lied about it to make us look bad. You're definitely not mistaken that a lot of people who see something that's taken effort just want to knock that thing over, but the vast majority of people are supportive and an absolute pleasure to interact with. I've met hundreds of awesome people doing this and really only a handful of assholes. People give us guff but I'm an old hand at this internet crap and I'm not about to give up on something I think is worthwhile because of the ever present trolls and drama that come with the territory. -

I've been playing SA since I think about March. I've got 1500 some odd hours between my accounts. I've barely played the mod at all. I got into SA first. We've been doing the trading posts since October. -

Longhorns are nuts. I shot a guy in the leg with one from a couple hundred meters and it immediately killed him. Personally, my ideal setup is an m4 with an acog. Golden at close range with decent mid to long range capability.

The current state of persistence in 0.54
albinoclock replied to IIvIIozzie's topic in General Discussion
Persistence wipes happen on Wednesdays, but not necessarily *every* Wednesday. You should pick up your stuff Tuesday night, but there may be some weeks when you get to keep the stuff you couldn't fit. Keep in mind that admins can turn off or reset persistency at any time on their own servers. Stashed gear may still be lost if persistence bugs out and needs to be reset or if they decided to go heli hunting. The most secure way to store gear is on mule accounts. -
Last time they fixed something like this (seedable vests and other clothing) it was during a hive wipe.

At the moment rags are clearly superior. You can stack them, fit two more uses per slot, and while it makes very little difference you can increase a rag's quality by adding it to a stack of higher quality rags. What's not to like?
