Here is the easiest way to install beta patch on steam: 1. download beta patch from here: http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php 2. extract file and run the setup. 3. goto your Arrowhead folder (Steam/steamapps/common/Arma 2 operation arrowhead) 4. Backup original Arma2OA.exe file 5. find beta folder (Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead/Expansion/beta) 6. cut/paste arma2oa.exe file from beta folder to main Operation Arrowhead folder 7. Goto Steam Library, right click on ARMA2 Operation Arrowhead and goto 'properties' at the bottom of the list. 8. In the properties, click on 'Set launch options...' 9. in the box, copy and paste this: -beta=Expansion\beta;ca;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@DayZ;ca -nosplash And start ARMA2: Operation Arrowhead normally. Viola!

yes rocket hinted at more stuff to do that cooperative based, what this is and how it will work is anyones guess (outside the dev team) so we have to sit and wait to see what he has planned. Which will probably take months of work. BTW have you tried collecting vehicles? seems like a reasonable thing to do if you don't want to participate in the coastal bean wars.

try turning off anti aliasing. btw i saw your youtube vid and tbh it looked alright to me, except the quality of recording. also ARMA2 engine is a beast and you need at least an average computer to run it even semi decently, also if you really want to boost frames per second i suggest putting 'object details' on very low or low, maybe disabling post processing effects or shadows.

open graphics options up, top right corner, there is a option to set your 3d resolution underneath your interface resolution, on default it is set slightly lower than your actual screen resolution, stick that to your native res, i.e what your interface resolution is.

Sandbox=endgame at the beginning, it means you make whatever end game you want, most people hunt other players and since most players are on the coast, thats where they go a.k.a the Bean Wars. And since you think vehicles are to loud (pussymuch?) and bases are 'stupid' I guess you are left with the Bean Wars or the walking simulator. Or you could take a break until new features are implemented.
