Please bring the L85A2 AWS back in the game

OP never said he killed entire squads with it. He said he escaped squads with members using it. Just saying. -
Can only carry gun/tool on your baack if you have a pack

"holsters and vests" So, vests that would have sheaths for certain weapons on the back? Sorry, I didn't quite understand what you meant by that. -
Honestly don't know what I was expecting when I saw "subtiles"
-
Disagree to becoming zombies after death. Allegedly the survivors are all immune to the disease. Disagree in less military loot. It's just that military bases should be harder to get to and loot safely. Neutral with corpses in random places, but they would seem out of context, because if you found a random corpse, it should be another player's corpse. The only corpses I want to see are in body dumps and/or body bags.
-
No. Too many guns will be covered in dicks and things like that. The only thing I see is carving a tally into the stock or receiver with a combat knife to total kills.
-
Don't take away military loot from players who want to be uniformed with vests. It could be a little rarer, but not so rare you see one M4 per 80 players. Alternatively, try crafting the new ghillie suit if you're more of a survivor based player; Feels more survivory because you made it yourself, instead of just finding an industrially made one in a military base.

Awesome! I actually think that this is a very likely scenario in the Chernarus lore. Honestly I'd like to see more military involvement in the region ingame, such as blown up convoys and checkpoints outside of major towns/cities. What about crashed fighter jets? Some sort of makeshift encampment in the woods, with a camo net and a few logs holding it up? IED blasts next to wrecked vehicles? Shot up checkpoints? Those are some things I'd actually like to see in game. If you were to come across, say, a shot up convoy, you'd think, "What happened here?"
-
Shit, I cocked up. I was meant to say AUG, not M4. Was tired at the time.
-
Well, you did mention the NZ army using M4s, so...
-
Isn't there the SPOSN backpack? It's a military style backpack, unfortunately it has no camo pattern and it has 24 slots, less than the Hunter pack, but it's aesthetically pleasing, even with a lack of camo. It goes very well with the SMERSH vest and backpack, the GORKA helmet with visor, and the GORKA uniform.
-
Also, Australia use the Blackhawk and AUG as well. Just saying.

He was probably talking about how he could take out a machine gunner on the ground and not a machine gunner in a helicopter. He likely did not read your post correctly. In all seriousness though, you need to stop acting rude. It doesn't seem like he is trying to insult you, he is just disagreeing with your points.
-
Maybe moreso that you hold the weapon like normal, but thrust the stock forward, and flip the barrel of the gun towards you. (Guns with pistol grips, for example AKMs or M4s, would have the barrel go to the side, whilst Mosin type weapons would have the barrel over your shoulder. Might be OP, but it seems reasonable.

More Spray Pain Color Options For Latter Please! :)
lelmat132 replied to Deathlove's topic in Suggestions
With the addition of bright spray paint colours, it'd ruin the game. Majority of players would wear bright stuff due to the "Oh, it's just a game" mentality. Seriously, in real life it's more than likely that the any person you see will be dressed in either civilian clothes/equipment and/or military clothes/equipment. It's not like every second or third person, they'll be wearing a bright yellow helmet and a lime green dyed backpack. Only the insane or mentally retarded would wear really bright colours. Now, I'm not saying everyone would run around in military gear, I'm just saying that people will be wearing darker, less obvious coloured stuff, like a deep red instead of a bright red or something like that. Again, there's also the thought that in-lore, Chernarus is not the wealthiest country and it would likely be expensive to ship in bright colours like bright yellow, cyan, pink, etc, and it would be fairly cheaper to get darker, duller colours such as olive, dark red, brown, dark blue, grey, etc. If coloured spray paints were added, it would ruin the realistic experience the game is going for. If you ruin the experience, you might as well not implement some of the realistic ideas that other people are suggesting. -
That's not what I mean. I mean that the Chernarus timeline Earth might have similar history, but maybe slight changes such as my example in the post above. Don't just say something stupid because you don't get what I mean.

Well then, if you add colours in you might as well not add vehicles or advanced medical procedures or sleeping or anything realistic like that. And yes, I know what a hypocrite is, thank you very much. And what? You're just gonna ignore my perspective because apparently it's boring? Sounds to me like you want features for the sake of adding features, and you wouldn't actually use them. -
Just remember that Chernarus is a fictional country in a fictional universe, we don't know for sure that the Earth in that timeline had the same history. So, for all we know, tens of thousands of M1s could have been sent to Russia instead of just the one.

Well, Chernarus doesn't seem like the wealthiest country, so I'm not sure that special colours would be easy to reach. I disagree with allowing colours such as pink to be common. As I said, chernarus isn't a wealthy country, so few would be able to get bright extravagant colours such as pink, and most likely would only have duller/less special colours such as deep reds, browns, greys, dark greens, dark blues, white, etc. -

Yeah, I guess that it does mean you do expect to be shot at if you wear camo. Oh well. But yeah, I agree with the colour range that should be the most common to find. -

Just because you wear camo doesn't mean you want to kill people. I wear camo, to avoid sniper fire. Also, I'm not too sure if they're adding in painting, as people would just draw dicks everywhere. Although, yeah, it would be cool to have patterns on your helmets. I just think that, if more spray paint colours WERE added, not saying I'm agreeing with them yet, that really bright coloured (yellow, lime green, pink, purple, cyan, etc) should be REALLY rare so people can't go trolling by spray painting every helmet, gun, etc pink. However, dull colours (red, normal blue, dull orange, brown, etc) should be more common. -

No, but we're talking about the zombie apocalypse here, not some sort of civil war. However, I should have said "majority of people" instead of "nobody". However, you do have a valid point, but you are missing the fact that there are civilian clothing items in the game that separate playstyles. There is no need for coloured spray paints, because if people don't want to look tactical they should avoid any vests or military helmets in the first place. However, I don't see normal civilians wearing bright coloured stuff. Only insane people in the first place would ever wear outstanding colours, others would wear dull stuff like black, green, brown, etc. -

Wow, hypocrite much? You're not picturing it from my perspective, are you? Do you really support 99% of DayZ Players running around in colourful shit? Sure, it'll be easy to spot them, but it won't be a realistic experience, because utterly nobody would actually chose to do that in real life. -

Still, they'd be relatively bright. But yeah, I agree, paint cans should be really rare. -

Well, the problem is, is that people who do chose to be a walking bullseye may just troll people by painting everything they find bright colours -- including helmets, backpacks, guns, etc. I don't know, maybe people will wear less coloured stuff when they get sniped too much, but that doesn't stop people from doing what I said above. Also, perhaps teams can wear the same hat combos, or roll smaller groups within the groups. (eg, group has six, splits into two groups of two plus a sniper and a spotter) I don't know, friendly fire happens, the best way to minimise this risk is to plan how you're gonna go in, assign certain people to a certain part of the town and not splitting up.
