my main issue with them now is they're constantly cleaning out all the good loot spots. it didn't seem like a big deal before, but it seems they've been getting more methodical and thorough, and it really is effecting the game -

I just think it's best to set these things straight before they get out of hand. these kinds of rumors (in no way do I think they're true btw) can discourage people from buying Arma 2. people won't want to make the investment if they hear the mod's on shakey ground. regardless if this is just a "mod" or "alpha", it is the driving force behind the current boom in Arma sales this has nothing to do with me. I just wanna play the new update. I too saw the stream, and Rocket said playing that version just wasn't as fun after playing 1.7.2. I don't wanna be stuck playing the un-fun version :cry:

there was a thread about that lastnight. it got closed and the relevant links were deleted. I could dig them up from my history, but I don't wanna get in trouble here I don't think he 'quit', but apparently he is having serious issues with those trying to 'ruin' the game all that is another reason it would be nice to hear from him, before all the crazy rumors start flying around...

I was in Stary Sobor upstairs in the big empty warehouse by the tents, just trying to make sure the coast was clear. ;) then I start hearing shots, and back into cover. then the shots start hitting the scaffolding right in front of me, but I can't figure out how they got that angle to make that shot. then I notice a coke on the ground in front of me. "that's weird, maybe I didn't see that before". I manage to make it to the ladder in the middle, climb down, and hide in the corner prone, waiting for someone to come through one of the doors. shots are still hitting the floor in front of me, and again given the angle, I couldn't figure out how it was possible. then the doors start opening and closing. now I'm thinking there's someone right outside trying to distract me or something. then I notice a pile of food cans in front of me. I check my backpack, and sure enough it's empty. that means the cokes upstairs came from there as well. then the cans disappear and reappear even closer in front of me. I let a few shots off into thin air and DC'ed I guess I should be happy they didn't just kill me -

I wouldn't mind if they had a few servers that were offset 12 hrs, for people that can only play at night and would like play in the daylight. but as it is there's no rhyme or reason to it. I seldom play on a server that has the correct time

my point was the game has to sacrifice realism to make it a playable game. I have food and water at my house, but it doesn't respawn...

your situation is never explained. maybe you wash up on shore and that's all you got and obviously sacrifices to realism have to be made to make it a challenge. you can't have every house have a weapon, water/soda, and food

well I think they're trying to fix that also, by making it so the zeds run fast indoors as well. granted you might still be able to use buildings to lose them, but I don't think you're gonna be able to run into a long barn with a posse of zeds and the walk out the other side with none that being said I have no problem spawning without a gun

think its a beta update ongoing It is. This: [94206] Fixed: Disabled channels can be bypassed in briefing screen (https://dev-heaven.net/issues/33906) I have absolutely no idea what it means though. Did we win? if you like side chat it means you lost. basically they closed the loop-hole that was allowing some servers to still use side chat they should be easy enough to spot if you're already looking for loot I just wanna see what it's all about before I start complaining too much

1.7.1 came out at like 1am central time. I'm not saying that's when this one will come out, just that the time doesn't seem important

[/quote'] It must depend on the server, because I haven't seen one set of barbed wire that wasn't at the NWAF. nah, there's a lot of barbed wire around. pretty much every fire-house. but I've never seen it around a deer stand
