I'm guessing you've never been to the NW Airfield or Stary Sobor my favorite spawn is Kamenka. from there I go north inland, hitting all the deer stands on the way. stop at the supermarket in Zelenogorsk. and then head to NWAF or Stary Cherno and Electro are just death traps IMO

the Arma 2 campaign crashes a lot on me. it seems to crash at the points where is auto-saves. anyone else have that problem?

you guys appeal to all these irrelevant hypothetical situations, when people just wanna know whats going on some of yall claim to not care when the patch comes out, but you're still religiously checking this thread

And I understand that DayZ has made them a lot of money. Just like popular mods such as Fall From Heaven and Rhye's and Fall of Civilization did for Civilization 4, Magna Mundi did for Europa Universalis 3, and Pop Demand Mod have done for Victoria 2(among numerous others). In fact, some of those examples and many others also include the game developer contracting with the mod designers(I know this isn't exactly the same as this case but it's close enough). And yet, none of that changes the fact that you didn't pay for the mod, you paid for the game. I am among the many who bought Arma 2 just for DayZ, but I'm still not going to sit here and say I deserve fucking anything from Rocket because whether he works for BIS or not, he's still making a mod independently and I still didn't pay jackshit for this mod. In fact, I've grown to enjoy Arma 2 without DayZ and I am glad that I actually paid for that. And we deserve community attention, patches, and the upholding of promises from BIS on Arma 2(which they've come through on on all accounts). But nothing from Rocket on DayZ. Whatever he gives us, we should be thankful for. my post was only about this idea that he's just a user doing this in his free time I didn't say anything about buying Arma or what I "deserve"

there's different types of "obligations". you have the more strict legal sense, and then there's those that relate to common courtesy and being polite

I'll just point out that this isn't just some user created mod. Rocket works for BIS, and there was that rumor that they have him working full-time on the mod. it wouldn't surprise me since this is such a cash-cow for BIS I don't think he "owes" us anything, but it would be nice to get an update on what's going on
