it's gone bro. if you find another one, don't touch it
-
yep, it seems it's even more based on line-of-site now. in 1.7.1.5 it seemed like the zeds were blind, and could only hear you (through walls)
-
I was able to lose some zeds by going upstairs in a factory. and after hanging out for awhile upstairs, they actually went away on their own
-
I definitely got to get used to the new zed behavior. I like it so far though also for the first time since I started playing, temperature is a factor

man... what part of "no one cares about your missing equipment" do you not understand? rocket has said a few times those issues are on the bottom of his list

You are not a customer' date=' you are a volunteer tester. [/quote'] I'm afraid you aren't clear on what an analogy is. Just as DRM is analogous to anti-cheat, in this example, customers are analogous to players (or testers, if you want to call them that). DRM that hurts paying customers is bad, just as anti-cheat that hurts legit players is bad. it's all about the greater good. I can drive fine while drunk. it's the other guys I worry about ;)

people are just mad because they were depending on the 'run into a building' strategy to lose zeds. I tried to warn them...

A little disconcerting. But how in the world could updating DayZ via 6launcher' date=' even affect or change your actual Arma 2 files?? Shouldn't happen, I wouldn't think! Doesn't it just update DayZ files in the DayZ folder? [/quote'] 6updater/launcher also update the the Arma 2 client to the latest beta that a server says is required to connect to it. That is what is most likely breaking peoples arma 2 install. yeah but the beta exe is put into a separate folder so you can still run the game 'vanilla'. it shouldn't be an issue if you just start the game normally (without the Six Launcher)

Well if you werent so retarded you would have taken the time to install it manually like the rest of us. Agreed. I don't understand how people would use a program to install another program. Makes no sense. So much better to install manually. seems like a moot point since people are having issues regardless of how they installed the update

this is another thing I don't understand about some people's complaints. 'alpha' or not, most PC games have some kind of compatibility issues. plenty of people pay $60 for a new game, but then can't play because of some issue I'm not saying that's the way it should be. just that PC gaming has never been 'easy'
-
it's not just the Arma X users. it seems most people can't play. I've yet to see one confirmation of anyone making it into a game without some sort of shenanigans did you make it into a game?

arguing about who paid for what isn't solving any of the current problems

well that's what it's looking like...

every server I make it into gives me the "this server is running the incorrect version..." message :(

Six Launcher - Easy Install/Update, Find/Join DayZ servers, worldwide network
daze23 replied to sickboy's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
I was trying to check out the new option to close Six on game launch, but when I clicked the box, I saw no check mark. so I was clicking all of the boxes to see if any would 'check', but none did. then when I hit OK, I got a warning about 2 of the options I had enabled. now I don't know what I turned on and I don't see a way to set things back to the defaults edit: I figued it out. it was something that got shut off by Gamebooster that was keeping the 'checks' from showing -

So loot is not meant to respawn at all? loot is meant to respawn. you are not meant to force and wait for loot to respawn -
