it's to the point where to get it to work on another engine, you would have to copy so many features from Arma. I mean, in how many of these games can you look around while you're running? -
I've seen that, but only on certain servers. have you tried other servers?

I've noticed it seems to hang more on "waiting to create character" and "loading". I make it in eventually, but it seems loading times were better in previous updates. at first I thought it was just the hive getting slammed right after the update was released, but it's been pretty persistent

it happens to pretty much every popular online game. it's hard to prepare for the server onslaught

sounds like they saw you. I think a lot of us got used to them being blind with super hearing. that made it seem like you were OK as long as you were still. well they 'fixed' that

I made it on a server. everything was fine and I didn't lose anything. someone was talking on global/side chat though

the servers are all over the place with the versions they're claiming to be using it's supposed to be v1.7.2.2/Beta 94867 (right?) I see: v1.7.2.3/Beta 94700 v1.7.2.2/Beta 94700 v1.7.2.5/Beta 93965 v1.7.2.2/Beta 94444 you got versions that don't exist and a bunch running the wrong beta. I'm sure this causes a lot of the problems...

a lot of the issues we're dealing with have to do with server load

it goes over 100 it seems it may indeed be the distance in meters they can see you, or have a chance of seeing you. honestly it's kinda 'gamey'. if you step from the grass onto one of those 'hard' sections, the number might double. whether it's a percentage, or a distance, it seems kinda excessive the way certain things can make the number jump around

get off your high horse. it's not explained well. and a lot of the (old) tutorials people use don't even mention it (the beta patch)

I think you can just play off the exe in the beta folder but yeah, all this isn't explained well. it confused me for awhile

it happens with this update. it doesn't save your progress on some servers. they're working on it
