    the only thing I found besides bicycles was a car... at Stary Sobor. no way in hell I was making solo return trips to fix that

    it's the one true challenge. eventually you figure out the zeds, and even the bugs. other players are always gonna offer (some) unpredictability

  5. I know. my point still stands though. you can't compare the spawn behavior of loot with vehicles. loot is infinite, vehicles are finite
  6. loot respawns. vehicles sit in the woods and are never seen again

    very few systems can run this game at "max settings" and maintain a good framerate. I doubt a i5 760 and a GTX 560ti could do it

    use a program like Fraps to display your fps, and play with the options to see what helps. turning off AA and PP seems to help most people. turning the shadows from normal to high actually gave me a performance boost

    I think it has more to do with particular servers and the 'hive'. sometimes I get on right away, and sometimes it takes 3-5 mins

    that's just because 'loading' can take awhile. not because of any of the other stuff you did it seems to be an issue with the last update

    it just sucks cause there's only one way in the pile of bodies is relevant to the Red Harvest campaign
  18. from what I can read, the max size is 256 sq km, but a map that big probably won't be 'stable'. but that's just with the free SDK. the actual devs might be able to work around those limitations I know games like Skyrim (and I think Just Cause 2) render the map in 'cells' I think the elephant in the room here is the time and effort it took to make the Chernarus map, regardless of the engine
  19. I've seen a few hacked helicopters and a-10's, but they usually just crash and don't really effect me :shrug:
  20. CE3 can handle pretty big maps. you can check it out for free http://mycryengine.com/ but I don't know how it would handle other aspects of the game
  21. for the majority of the ArmA 2 campaign, you have access to vehicles
  22. people need to learn to just honestly report what happened. exaggerations don't particularly help to testing process. I've been spotted from pretty far away, and I think once from behind a building, but never while prone
  23. they're hardly "eagle eyed". you can see them long before they see you the AI in Arma 2 is "eagle eyed", and they have guns
