  1. it seems I encounter a lot of deer-stands and such that are completely empty. I don't bother waiting for stuff to respawn, but at the same time I didn't clear them out and I doubt someone else was there within the last 10 minutes every time. I've just noticed the loot spawns seem to have changed since 1.7.2.3, but I'm not sure how it works now
  2. I think some of these mechanics have changed

I Feel Bad for New Players

the loot spawns seem a little f-ed up for new players I was kinda unaware for most of this update, because I had a 10 day old character that was only concerned with heli loot. but he died :( . when I spawned again, I went to 2 supermarkets, and some other buildings, that were completely empty (no empty cans, nada). I eventually found stuff, but it seemed kinda weird...
  4. I agree. I was just pointing out that what he was doing isn't something that's gonna necessarily lead to killing "server-hoppers"
  5. I don't care. my point is you probably would have got a kill there eventually regardless of server-hoppers

    How long do bodies stay?

I've found my own body many hours later it seems to be awhile if you don't log out. my question is: if I get killed, decide I don't wanna play anymore, and log out legit (not alt-f4), does my body disappear?
  7. meh, these accusations are a slippery slope. if I log out anywhere near the NWA, chances are I'm gonna head to the barracks when I log back in and start playing again. does that make me a "server-hopper"?
  8. if I see a sniper, and I can't safely get a shot on him, I mark it on map and label it "sniper"
  9. yeah, I'm saying the guy you killed might not have been a server-hopper. maybe he was, but you're camping one of the better loot spots in the game, so server-hopping or not, someone's gonna come along eventually
  10. you camped in the barracks and killed someone that "strolled" in don't front like you were combating "server-hoppers"

Can someone explain the point of ALT-F4

that sounds like a pretty lame excuse

    Heli crash site loot spawns

how many heli sites per server are there? I always wonder after I find one if I should keep looking on that server
  13. yep, it will just give players false security when they don't see anyone in the popular sniper spots

Can someone explain the point of ALT-F4

it's a window shortcut to exit a program
  15. exactly what I was thinking
  16. I'll just say you could build a much more powerful desktop for the price of that thing

    Spawn Killing Now?

most of them probably respawned hoping for a better location
  18. that's a pretty low number. and yeah, "do you have a monitor?" is a key question

    Finding Vehicles

the only thing I found besides bicycles was a car... at Stary Sobor. no way in hell I was making solo return trips to fix that

    PvP doesn't seem that bad...

it's the one true challenge. eventually you figure out the zeds, and even the bugs. other players are always gonna offer (some) unpredictability

    PvP doesn't seem that bad...

it's true! everywhere I go people give me bullets

    Why Day-Z Fails

it goes both ways. he said something, and now we're having a discussion about it. no need for anyone to cry foul
  23. I know. my point still stands though. you can't compare the spawn behavior of loot with vehicles. loot is infinite, vehicles are finite
