"yes" you're getting them from soldiers, or "yes" you're getting them from barbed wire? I just checked the bug report forum, and there's been no mention of the artifacts since 1.7.2.6 came out. as far as I know, everyone in this thread that has mentioned them said they were coming from barbed wire, or they couldn't confirm where they were coming from can you confirm you are still getting artifacts from dead soldiers using 1.7.2.6?

I think the game uses different 'quality' models depending on how far you are from the object. I haven't noticed a difference from previous versions, but they may have tweeked the distance a bit to help performance

DayZ without PvP sounds boring. what's even the point of the high-end weapons without PvP? if I'm only fighting zombies, I'd rather have an ax than an AS50 -

your answer didn't provide any examples of how 1.7.2.6 was a "step back" not to mention your words of wisdom like: "I don't know...", "I think...", "...thats a fact" me giving you the facepalm was me trying to be nice. I can tell you haven't been keeping up with these issues, and what rocket has said about them. there's nothing inherently wrong with that ignorance, but it makes you look like an ass when you come in here basically insulting the devs. all because you're butthurt about a hacker killing you you didn't have to respond to my question. but you did. and your response was largely irrelevant QQ'ing about a hacker that killed you

well you need to figure that out. I don't think you're gonna find many servers sticking with 1.7.2.5 (as it was a particularly bad version)

they were not intended as a feature. why do people say stupid shit like that? are you just trying to be a dick? it's a known issue, that's been around since before the 1.7.2.5 artifacts. it's why there is now this thread in Announcements: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/87570-should-we-remove-barbed-wire-in-the-next-update/

I understand it was specifically said by rocket like back in June, but the hacking has become a different animal since then. rocket has changed his mind about a lot of things since then it's not a secret that several official-hive servers are doing this now. so why don't you let rocket and crew pick and choose how to enforce their rules. I hope soon all the servers are doing it, and it's integrated into battleye -

I'm guessing you're appealing to the 'rule' that people should only be kicked/banned for abusive/racist language. I think that water is under the bridge. especially when we're talking about definitive proof that people are in possession of hacked weapons saying a server should be blacklisted for banning people that definitely have hacked weapons is rather dubious -

there seems to be some inconsistency in saying you "need" them for your base, and then saying they're easy to remove with a toolbox -
