it's more "hardcore" for those that don't have those items those items are supposed to be end-game stuff. they're only supposed to spawn (rarely) at heli-crashes and the barracks. but even before people were duping and spawning weapons, it was an issue with people hording that stuff. too many people (usually server admins) would just jump in the chopper right after a server restart, and loot all the crashed heli's. plus all the server hopping in the barracks. they need to figure out how to make the upper-tier stuff not easy to farm I do think thermal sights are OP'ed. maybe it would be cool if there was a way to counter them. I could roll around in the mud like Arnold in Predator :D

it comes down to what you can prove. there's no question the AS-50 AWS is hacked in

it's amazing how widespread and accepted hacking has become. I was on some Lingor server where people were just asking to be teleported and have stuff spawned

I imagine Chernarus 2.0 will be better locked down. if there was an invisible wall, I wouldn't mind at all

but it seems inevitable those melee weapons would be used for pvp. then people are gonna want to able to stab, slash, block, etc and if the majority of players are running around with melee weapons, it's not gonna create the same tension as having the majority of players with guns. I think this game has to be careful to not lose it's appeal

I'm not sure "tons of people using melee weapons" would be a good thing plus to make that work you kinda need a more complicated melee combat system I think the game should stick to it's gun-combat roots

I think we have to be sure to keep the 'survival' element of the game intact it seems a lot of these suggestions would just make the game easier

I don't think we need a bunch of redundant melee weapons it seems most people would like to see some sort of weapon attachment system. that sounds cool, but it should have realistic limitations. for instance I shouldn't be able to use a pistol silencer on my sniper rifle. and it should take time, unlike the on-the-fly system WarZ copied from Crysis

yeah, I agree if anything, I need more information on the specifics of what they were charged with, what the law says, what their accusers claim, what they claim, and of course the photos/video in question "all tourists take pictures of that" doesn't mean much. it could just mean other people got away with it, and you got caught

uh, that's not unrealistic. in fact there's probably plenty of people out there that 'only drink soda'. it might not be the most healthy thing in the long run, but it's not gonna adversely effect you over the amount of time you play DayZ

well you still have to outline what exactly that means as far as the physiology of the 'infected' you also have to take into account the 'real world' effectiveness of such weapons. it's not that easy to "poke" through someone's skull. nor chop off heads and arms like in the movies. not to say those things are impossible, but I imagine the real danger of those weapons came from internal bleeding, damage to organs, and infection (no pun intended)

my understanding of zombie lore is that such a thing wouldn't be very effective. the same for knives and swords. I could see something like a heavy broad-sword working, but other than that, just cutting/stabbing a zombie doesn't seem like it would do much
