  1. kids reach puberty at different ages though. it doesn't make you more mature just because you're a 12 y/o with a deep voice
  2. if you have to ask the price, you probably can't afford it ;)
  3. increase the voltage
  4. I like that the map had it's own model, and wasn't just a green bag. unfortunately when I played there was only 1 non-whitelist US server, and of course there was a hackster on it. it seems like there's more servers now, so maybe I'll give it another go
  5. tell your parents that replacing the psu and gpu would be a great learning experience. or use that as an excuse to build your own

you're right, it's pretty much impossible, so I doubt it happened like that

Steam always has stuff on sale. there's just more stuff during these seasonal sales

    What is DayZ to you?

I predict there will be a great divide if Rocket releases the 'survival game' he has promised with the Standalone. not only are easy-mode servers popular, but cheating is also very popular

    Upgrade graphics card or CPU?

well I'll point out that i3 is better than a lot of quad-core amd chips. so if you're gonna upgrade it, get an i5 2500k or better

    What is DayZ to you?

it was meant to be played on one public hive, but haxors fuct that all up at first I really liked the long term survival aspects. but tents/cars not saving, disappearing servers, and scriptsters ruined a lot of that for me. now I've just become another pvp'er. I'm hoping 1.7.5 breaths some new life into the mod in reality what it did was introduce a bunch of people to Arma 2
  11. I'm still hoping for a 2012 release
  12. ultimately people just didn't like the story. you can say that was because it was 'rushed', but they didn't change much with their 'fix' I think some of these demanding internet movements hurt gaming. it just makes the industry scared to try anything new, because there might be this huge internet butthurt backlash of refund demands, and/or threats of 'boycott', etc. like people that paid for the alpha/beta release of WarZ, and then demanded a refund (prior to it being released on Steam as a 'finished product'). I'm sure people here had some fun with that when it was happening, even posting various 'guides' on how to get a refund, but ultimately that may have hurt what Rocket was trying to do

yeah, but the reality is that both groups are constantly checking this thread and forum, so it's clear 'group B' also wants information

  19. try looking straight up at the sky, or straight down at the ground. if your fps doesn't improve, there's probably something else going on

    Nightime Dayz Rocks!!!

it is cool, but I feel like too many players are probably cheating by turning up the brightness/gamma

    Finally! I found NVGs!

they have their own model. it makes it that much more exciting: "is that... NVG's!!!!" I never found legit range-finders

    DayZ Standalone Discussion

honestly, rocket's all over the place sometimes. he gets amped/fired up/wound up/whatever, and says things. at one point back in October he said he wasn't doing any interviews until the standalone was out. needless to say he did some interviews after that. I understand, but at the same time don't blame me if i take what he says with a grain of salt edit: especially when he's saying bold things like he doesn't care if half the people buy the game. it should be obvious that's a rather hyperbolic reactionary statement
