I seem to remember these quotes... "If you're very concerned about the font, I don't think this game is for you" "The special edition comes featuring Comic Sans and a potatoe" "The font stays. Mainly to piss the people off who care more about the font than functionality in the game."

as someone that lives in semi-rural Louisiana, I don't agree. unless the moon is rather full, it's hard to see much without a flashlight. maybe I could see well enough to walk down the street, but much of that is because I know the street is a even surface that most likely won't have any obstructions. I definitely wouldn't try to run through 'the woods' at night I'm not going to argue with what you personally can see ingame. but like I said, I was honestly able to navigate at night without a flashlight (and without adjusting my gamma/brightness)

I believe this was a bug in the mod
-
night time in the standalone is far from "pitch black", or at a level where I "cannot see anything around" IMO. I really only need to use the flashlight indoors (where the flashlight 'cone' kinda sucks, but that's another issue)

if it's overly blurry, you might not be playing at your native resolution -
Creation of a "Feedback/Suggestion" Forum for DayZ Standalone
daze23 replied to Katana67's topic in General Discussion
I agree this looks more like a troubleshooting/feedback sub-forum at the moment -
I've found loot in the two 'long' barn types. the smaller, white, 3-level, barns don't seem to have any loot (they were probably the 'best' barns for loot in the mod)
-
yeah, I've been trying to make mental notes of the buildings that don't seem to ever spawn loot. I haven't found anything in deer stands yet. the large square military tents with one entrance don't seem to spawn loot, while the ones with two entrances do. in the future I hope they 'fix' this, because I honestly don't like to play the game like this, but I can't help skipping certain buildings when I find they never have loot

and that's another way to find daylight servers. they're usually full...
-
it would be cool if we could put a door on those, and make it our 'base' or whatever
-
it is "server hopping". it's worrying that you don't even see that
-
jeez everyone is so confrontational. I was just trying to give you, and anyone else reading this, some help with the situation. last night I found the MPGS servers were daylight, when they weren't previously. this is an evolving situation, and things are changing already
-
that's what I was wondering when he said your should find whatever backpack in the control tower
-
I'm pretty sure 'server hopping' is a well known issue
-
try different server hosts (mpgs, gameservers, vilayer, etc)
-
that is a strawman. it is not night time 24/7, and no one wants night time 24/7. I've said a few times that there should be servers with offset times (and there already are some). what I don't want is 24/7 daylight servers

I thought I noticed this too

because it could lead to the same fragmentation we saw with the mod. fragmentation while the game is still in early alpha at that the mod, all it's variants, and private hives, are still there for those that want to play with various rule sets. you can even make up your own with Arma 2 or 3. can't the DayZ standalone exist outside of that with it's own singular vision?
-
the MPGS servers seem to be daytime at the moment

I was attached to my attachments

I just saw this http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/155358-security-vulnerabilities-fixed-by-patch-2-and-character-wipe/

I did

I'm not trying to be rude. I was just hoping for very clearly worded confirmation. I said "but whatever" because it was becoming clear I wasn't going to get that

yeah, I used to like the idea that the only barracks on the map were far from the coast. and it was very different playing on other maps that had barracks all over. now it's gonna be very easy for people to gear up quick, and turn around to kill some new spawns but the barracks in the standalone don't tend to spawn as high value loot. I guess that might change when we actually get some more guns in the game though. time, and balancing of the loot, will tell I guess. they could make it so the more l33t loot still only spawns up there. and I'm wondering about what kind of random 'helicopter crash' type loot sites we may get
-
I was kinda bummed cause I was looking for food, and found barracks. turns out the supermarket was moved to 'center' of town though
