Yeah OP seems lucky. Lots of KoS'ing. But there is more friendly interaction too.

How do You Keep Yourself Busy While Travelling?

I feel like a moron but, there is an auto run function? -
Given that they take the same ammo, and that you really don't need to carry anything in your backpack you can have both. But I agree with the earlier poster, the shotgun seems a bit bugged atm. Once that's fixed a sawed off is your best close range option up to 50m. Then you can keep the longhorn for the longer shots in town. 1 shot isn't bad. It's urban warfare so you should be shooting then moving/reloading to a new spot. If you are camping a spot to snipe, then you should be using an actual mosin. So until the shotgun is up to snuff, carry both and drop useless items from your bag like food/drink, more than 2 bandages etc. Use the mosin for CQB.

Common items you've never seen.

I haven't heard anything about the police car spawns. I've seen the ones that are always there (vavilovo and zeleno) but none of the random ones. What did you mean if you don't mind me asking. Also about heli running. Since .49 I did a few rounds, had only really been checking for smoke but what you are saying now is I ned to get close enough to see the other type of chopper. That's rough it takes a long time to make a whole round for just 3/49 chance :(. Did they expand the loot to spawn at both types of choppers then? Because I've found 4 of the smoking choppers, Uh variation?, and found attachments and ammo but no M4. Am I S o L if I find the other Mi8 variant then I have no chance at an m4 gun? -
The amount of a-holes in this game. Share your stories.

I only have 1. Reason being is that getting KoS'd, or betrayed, or killed as a fresh spawn is completely ok. It's a survival game. If some guy spent hours gearing up, and is running along the coast and kills you, that's his perogative. If you don't want to die on the coast, learn how to run with cover. The only asshole thing that has happened to me is a hacker killing me. Him killing me wasn't asshole-esque. It was the fact that when I told him I realized he was hacking, he tried to deny it. Like why can't you just say "Yup, I'm hacking, deal with it bitch." Like I don't care that you're hacking and you killed me. Eventually I'll die in a gun fight. I just laugh when you try and pretend your not hacking, yet everything I'm wearing drops to piles on the ground instantly. So no, I won't stick my hands up. I'll continue to dot he detroit shuffle and watch you chase me naked while hacking and missing shots for 4 minutes straight just laughing at you open mic'd. -

Did they take out the static 3 heli sites? Balota/svet/kymyra (or whatever the town is called)? I've passed the svet one liek 4 times and the balota swamp one once since .48 and i see the debris pile but the chopper is never there. Aren't these supposed to be there or do they dissapear after a certain time passes on server reset? -

The rare vests. AKM (found multiple 101's). M4: been to a bunch of choppers and get attachments and mags but no guns. Chickens, rabbits, tents, RAK, geared friendly players. The rarest thing in the game though is people who post in the reddit asking for relevant game advancements. You read the reddit and everyone asks for cool items to be added. The ratio of "add this cool item" posts vs bug fix and broaden the scope of the game past coastal deathmatch and banditing or increase server pop cap is like 10-1, if not more; furthermore, even if someone does post an actual good idea, they typically get flamed by the morons who want the devs to add more melee weapons. -
Playing without a mic (or when you can't use a mic)
Grundlesmuggler replied to Death By Crowbar's topic in General Discussion
The note idea is interesting. But the current game state is pretty bandit oriented so you are still gonna get blasted. I suggest just being a silent bandit when you can't talk. With the server cap being 40 players and not many high pop servers out there, coupled with the fact that the community really only cares about adding cool loot and not bug fixing or broadening the scope of the game, it's just a death match PvP environment anyway. Once they fix persistence AND increase the server pop cap you'll see less KoS and more interactive gameplay which I would then move the computer into the living room so you can talk freely. -
Sorry if this sounds dumb but do the public servers have persistence enable by default as the patch notes indicate? I've read through some persistence posts but I don't know much about server hosting. Can persistence be turned off on pub servers?

Persistence and Public Servers

Oh ok cool, even with the hotfix it's that way? Some of the posts I've read seem to indicate that with the hotfix they are all good to go. Thanks for the responses. -
Anybody remember when Dean Hall said...

Honestly 100 person servers will have more friendlies that now. Whether it just be due to density or not. But If loot spawning is not ramped up significantly for that type of population then people will most likely have to be friendly and trade more gear right? Also I think you'll have accelerated death matches on the coast which will eventually thin out and have people looking to venture out more to get gear. 80 - 100 person servers could also end up being more "stable" in terms of returning players calling servers home since interactions and what not will be more frequent. Just a couple of my thoughts. It would be nice to have more that 6 ish servers to choose from if you only like playing on populated servers. -
Persistence and Public Servers
Grundlesmuggler replied to Grundlesmuggler's topic in General Discussion
I see...so the public servers are run by someone who can switch the options then? Or do they have all the default options on? Again I'm sorry I know absolutely nothing about server hosting or the default server options, can't seem to find those anywhere :( -
If you really want to talk to another player then the safest way to do it is to identify them, then make sure you are either ready to kill them, or around a corner (3rd person) while addressing them. If they don't respond, run at you, become aggressive don't waste your time. Kill them and move on to the next person. You'll find friendly players eventually.
