I believe the reason is because this chain also indicated when two network bubbles (everyone has a network bubble, to make it simpler you can call this a connection) were coming into contact with each other, in affect this means if you were smart like us you could tell if a player was near you just by seeing if you both had the red chain, so if me and my friend were in a house and we both got a red chain, we would know that most of the time this would mean someone was within a km of us. In laymans terms it was being abused and was like spidy sense. You could just tell when danger was near so it is a good thing it is gone.

lol and making those freshspawns unable to defend themselves has helped the situation a great deal.

Yeah it seems to be worse with certain guns, for example i always seems to hear shotguns and magnums but even if my friend is standing next to me i will rarely hear his ak, both variants. the weather system is fucked, seems random to me as sometimes i am fine but other time i am fully kitted out with just my face exposed yet i am dying of hypothermia it does not make sense at the moment, if you wear gorka stuff you will be fine though as it is weatherproof. Melee is fucked, don't need to say much about that everyone knows it, i beleive that weather is now tied into food consumption so that might be the issue you are having, if you are cold you get hungrier a lot quicker so again just wear gorka stuff to solve that problem as well. I gave the game a break for a week and i came back today to try out the 75 man servers, i was with vector bunny the youtuber in the church at electro and me and my friend decided to kill the two other guys in there with guns, for our own safety of course, next thing you know i get shot through the wall (door was closed and no one else had a gun in the church) my friend picks up my gun and then he is shot through the wall by the same hacker, i hear vector bunny screaming hacker as he runs out the church so that was my one experience on dayz recently and as you can imagine i'm not super excited to go back. It's alpha and i knew for a fact 75 man servers would attract every hacker and his mum so it was expected but no matter how many times it happens, getting killed by a hacker and wasting the gearing up time sure does leave a sour taste in the back of my mouth. 5/10 will play again next month.

Go to a town or a city or an army base, log out. Join a server that starts at either 15:00 or 12:00, tad ah all your looting problems solved. Don't hate me, i never designed the game.

No it is not, why would you not show that if thats the case, you make false videos and you dont expect people to question them, pretty easy to say your sway was in the middle after It's not harder, this is what you don't seem to understand it just makes shooting at very long distances is now a luck based endevour. Without the hold breath function working properly you just have to press the right mouse button and hope it is at the right place like some wacky fair ground ride and you have to try and hit the center with your massive figure of eight, it is stupid. I am all for sniping getting actually harder with other mechanics but it shouldn't be made near impossible and based on luck at long distances which it currently is. You complain about us but you clearly do not seem to understand, none of us want sniping to be easier but THIS sway is no solution, it just makes a certain play style useless and that's not in anyone's interest, don't cry about pvp central here and there when mechanics like this push everyone together.

I have yet to be shot with my own weapon but one sour experience i had was when i was in the single barracks bathroom at the nwaf and my sks suddenly had no bullets, i opened my inventory to find that all 100 of my sks bullets had vanished so i told my friend to quickly log out as i suspected foul play, as soon as i opened the shower room door i was lit up through the window by an ak which i am about 99 percent sure was loaded with my own bullets. Hackers will always hack or so that is what people want you to believe, i think that is bullshit there is always a way to make it not worth doing and plenty of games have done it before, i don't expect them to be wiped out completely but i do expect to not be seeing one once a week.

If you could not locate who was sniping you after he expended 20 bullets at your position i don't think the issue is running across the airfield, also you were lucky the sniper had a piss poor shot otherwise you would not have been typing this story.

It will not be in the next one, they just keep putting pictures up every time to give you the illusion of progress even though in game it is not there, your best of expecting vehicle four months from now and then you will not be disappointed. Also remember vehicles can not be put into the game into persistence is fully working otherwise how are they going to save, so expect working persistence and tents long before vehicles.

So disappointing, maybe next week.
