Hello all, I have recently started playing this game, I imagine I haven't played any other version other than the present .49. My issue that I have been experiencing is when I engage in melee combat, sometimes my weapon is suddenly replaced by another item on my hot bar, usually my compass, which I hot key #3, melee is #`1, firearm, #2. At first, I thought is was because in all of the excitement, I may have hit the wrong button, but this was not the case, as it has happened multiple times in situations I am sure I didn't engage the compass. What usually happens during this glitch is; I am engage by a zombie I equip my weapon and begin to attack, but after a few swings, suddenly I am no longer armed, but holding my compass like a moron taking an azimith getting jacked in the head by a zed. There is no equipping animation, one item disappears from my hand and the other is placed in it, in the ready position. Which usually means I become much less mobile and sustain greater injuries. I don't have any video to show, I am not really tech savvy. The last location this happened at was yesterday on a night server by the hospital/base near pavlovo. I dc'd from a random server hopped on a different one and was engaged immediately by two army zeds. (You should polish the spawning into a game, I was attacked with no way to react, my screen was black and all I could hear were zombies smacking me. They injured me enough in the black screen to cause me to bleed, pretty janky, but I survived so no worries there.) Anyway, it is rather frustrating to be in a life or death situation and randomly have your weapon replaced by your compass, and I do believe that is the standard glitch I am receiving, mid combat item swap to compass when it is accessible via hotbar. Not sure how many ppl are experiencing similar problems, but this has happened enough to me that it has to be some type of bug.
