It's funny. On Counter-Strike I always play with Canadians, but in Dayz I find Europeans a lot more, mostly with awful pings. -
Seriously? I had a hard time seeing things in the distance ever since 0.55. This is just ridiculous.

Hunting Scope Replacing The Long Range Scope?

Hate to break it too ya'll, but the Hunting Scope should be and will be 12x, a big increase over the LRS.(Look in Devtracker) Right now it's like 2.9x which is worse then the PU, it will have variable zoom(Read the description) and should have zeroing. -
Loot is weird, and can't ever find anyone. It's ridiculous running along the coast for another finding no one on a 50 man server.

It's been a while since the last update, and the last update didn't bring much, so most of the players on stable(like me) quit for now, because 0.55 is no fun at all. I play in 2PP :)

I did that until I got Arma 3, which crashes every 15 minutes due to a driver problem that Bohemia will probably never fix. It's a pity, because I'd love to try out all the cool mods and stuff for it. Doesn't happen with Dayz, so the two games are more different then what meets the eye.

So does anyone know what the actual zoom and the intended zoom of all the current scopes(including hunting) are? For example, I read the Long Range only zooms to 7.5x rather the intended 8x, and that the ACOG and PSO-1 don't zoom as far as intended either. I also saw a video in which someone said that the new hunting scope was supposed to have 2 levels of zoom but only has one currently. Don't have any info whatsoever on PU and others. Thanks!

We all want bikes, but the dev team is too busy getting us a bus and pickup right now. Also they are apparently much harder to code in then cars, probably something to do with the physics engine.

They should add more islands and an archipelago down south, since there's sooooo much unused area in water. And maybe a civilian airstrip or secret Soviet bunker thing down there too. Though that should probably only happen once boats are in. -

Admins should not be able to kick without a good reason imo, and the far off textures NEED to be fixed, this irks me immensely.

Why another scope, a KOBRA green dot sight would be just fine.

First you have to find a bear trap. Then you go into the middle of nowhere. Then you have to make a splint out of your last rags. Then you place the bear trap. Next you step on it to test it out. Finally you realize where you put your splint. Then F11+left click.

Just because they showed us a picture doesn't mean it's coming soon sadly. They've been teasing the Winchester for ages not and yet it still isn't in. Still I am excited, hopefully this will come in soon along with the Winchester, SVD, VSS Vinteroz, and UMP45. Next they add the SCAR-20 and all CS GO players ragequit ;) -

Going to military bases to get military loot isn't exploiting anything. It's using logic, albeit simple logic, and soon when there's dozens of zombies at every military location it will take an extreme amount of skill to stay alive and loot up. You seem like your one of those people that wants everything handed to them through luck. That's not how the game works, believe it or not. And loot isn't really even tied to server restarts anymore, since it updates every ~15 seconds and spawns/removes items. And if everyone really did go to military bases to loot up then there should be huge piles of loot on bodies nearby, since they would have killed each other and the winners would most likely be shot by others or eaten by zombies that heard the shots. Anyways, it's pointless to rationalize on what would happen in the Dayz apocalypse, since we don't know enough about it, and so thus both of our ideas about the apocalypse are pointless. Ultimately, it's up to the Dayz devs to decide on loot spawns, and something tells me they don't care about the opinions of two random people on the internet. Although If the apocalypse does happen in real life, I'm sure we can find each other before the internet goes down and argue over where the loot should be. -

That doesn't change the fact that it removes the skill and risk aspects of looting, and how do you know that the apocalypse would be like that? I find it funny when people try to paste realism onto something that isn't real, hasn't happened, and probably never will. -_- Besides, if your theory is correct, and that 99.9% are gone, then I'm guessing most of those 99.9% didn't get very far with what they had, and .1% of a population is hardly enough to change the average loot of an area, especially with all the zombies everywhere.
