The new way Tents are placed is a bit of an issue. Its not where tents are being placed, its that now the tent bag, or whatever you want to call it, sits in the back corner of the erected tent and you have to access that to take it down (unlike how it used to be) so if you can't access that, then you're stuffed and you can't take it down. You can't delete the erected tent with admin tools and are left with resetting the spawn timer for all the tents of the type affected to get rid of it. So the big issue now is the change that has been made with the tent only being dissembled from something that can be fairly easily clipped into an object.

Chenarus is a Game Hunter's paradise. With all the Hunting Stands, Hunters Huts and multitude of feed troughs scattered across the land, the only thing missing is the game itself. In 0.57 Stable after many many hours played across multiple servers I've seen and shot 2 Boar, 1 Deer, a Pig, a Sheep and 2 very lonely Cows. This is nothing like the amount seen on previous releases I'm sure there's a reason for the major nerf game animals have had in the spawn rates and locations. But it does however a frustrated game hunter make.

Leather sowing kit is only working on Boots. Not sure if this intended or not, though no idea what to fix Vests or Backpacks with if it is!

From my own experience, yes it is. Maybe not in the same volume as after a restart but I went through Kamenka this morning and found rice, canned foods, canned drinks, backpacks and various of the new hunting jackets and guns, things that wouldn't be left after people pass through it. It may not be working as the Dev's intended but its defo doing something.

From what I can tell the over the (right) shoulder 3PP view is in, or is being experimented with. Also, 4 (Four) CTD's in the 1st hourish of play. No spawning back into 'You're Dead' though so some progress XD. I love night time Chenarus.

Had a couple of CTD's, one of which resulted in logging back into 'You are Dead'. I'm not sure if there's a need to wait a little longer to log back in after a CTD to prevent that from happening or not. For the 'Death Crash' I was looking at a tree, so it would seem I just dropped dead on the spot - got back to my body TF as I'd just found a golden winged unicorn, aka a hunting scope. All 3 of the CTD's happened early on and after that it was all good. Lag/dysnc was at a minimum. I didn't go to any large towns/cities so didn't get any good FPS comparisons to before but it felt OK where ever I went. Food consumption looks to have been 'tweaked'. You no longer starve to death after a minute, which is nice (at least on the server I was on). It is taking more food/drink to get Energized and Hydrated though. The FOV nerf took my by surprise but is something a large part of the player base has been wanting. I'm not one of those players that whacks it right down to snipe so the new limits give me just enough to make the vision adjustments for 1PP and 3PP ( I play with a wider FOV in 1PP than 3PP) so from a purely selfish point of view its all gravy for me. I even met 2 nice people - shoutout to Plissken of Tulga, and the unnamed suspicious sardine eater of Solnichniy. I salute you both as men of outstanding calibre.

I've found them (slugs) but neither the double barrel or the pump would take them, so go figure :/

Weapons disappearing is making this the most frustrating patch that I've played to date. So far today a Longhorn and an MP5 have simply vanished from my inventory. Its hard enough to get yourself set without the damn stuff disappearing! Grrrrrrrrrrrr Not much point going to loot another one as that'll just disappear too. Hotfix needed so hopefully one is going to be along soon. Back to stable till then.

* Cannot make an Improv backpack. Combine the rope with Burlap and both items disappear, bag not there either on the spot you tried to craft it or in vicinity * Leather sowing kit doesn't repair Vest's (...cannot be used to repair this item). Works OK on Backpacks and Boots. * Winchester uses .308 ammo but states it uses 7.62x54r * Major issues with not being able to pick up items * Can stack items within items, within items etc. Sometimes when you pick something up and you have say another top in your inv, it'll put the item in the top you are carrying not a free inv slot * Weapon switching is very buggy. After putting a weapon away, I'm not able to get it out again or interact with it. Right Click just gives 'receiving' * Weapons disappearing from inventory. Had a Longhorn, equipped it OK, shot it OK. Put it away and it disappeared. Logging did not fix. * Loot's not re-spawning Zed's everywhere! Managed to get a train of 23 after me XD. Also, they appear to making footstep sounds again now too Anyone found a Hunting Scope yet?

It's still very early but I'm not sure about it, tbh I'm probably leaning more in the direction of 'its not good'. I don't play on the coast at all, for me the coast is something at my back as I move inland to explore but I've found persistent loot to be, well, broken or just plain weird. The broken - I joined a random Priv hive as a freshie and spawned at the boat north of 'Zino. I searched the boat - nothing (at all), ran to Svet - nothing here either, ran to Chernaya - nothing and it's there i died of starvation. So I tried again. Spawned at Kamy - nothing. Ran to Msta - nothing, Staroye- nothing, Guglovo - nothing, Stary - nothing, well I couldn't search it all as I died of starvation once again. And when I say nothing I mean not a single item at all, so that's not a positive however new the implementation is. The weird - Another random Priv hive but this one had loot! HUZZAH! Although finding just dresses on Military trucks, High cap vests in residential houses, Sheds with medical loot, and Gate houses (or whatever they're called) overflowing with weapon loot made little sense at all. Oh and pickaxes and hardhats in Military Barracks....and nothing else. Before the new loot economy was enabled, where the loot spawned made sense. Now not so much. I understand the desire to force the player to scavenge everywhere for the gear needed to survive and I'm all for making the game tougher to survive and have no problem with learning how to loot again after 1362 hrs played, but looting through Pustoshka and finding TTSKO in almost every house that had loot is odd. I also saw very little sign of loot respawing even though I played for around 10hrs straight on one server. Perhaps not long enough for the respawn timer to kick in? Only a Dev could answer that one (Oh, and Tents can disappear when you pitch them and the same with fires but it differed from server to server if this would happen or not.) So, Yes its new but after giving it a good go I'm not convinced whats been delivered should have been in its current form, and that's disappointing. -
Yesterday, I'm afraid. You can very unwittingly dupe an item in game and it scares the bejezus out of me.

are the persistence bugs gone with the new patch?

Persistence, in my experience, is still not working. Heli crashes, like you have experienced, are not spawning loot as they should. Found quite a few on 'Persistence on' servers with this issue. I avoid Persistence enabled servers now as I know the loot spawn is still not working as it should.
