US clothing, Vests and Backpacks at crashsites

I'm not opposed to having US Military gear, so long as it's in Heli crash sites and excessively rare. I do also agree that gear from other UN nations should appear in Helicopter crash sites, which should be equally rare.

Gold AKM for Loot Management System?

I disagree with the first part of your post, but I understand that point of view. As someone(Don't remember who and too lazy at present to go back and look.) already stated, the wat to prevent that is to make only a few hundred Golden AKs, across all of DayZ. Not per server, but the entire game. With increasing numbers of players, that will make it exceedingly rare, and become more so as time goes on. You might see a small group with all gold AKs, but it'd be ultra rare. As time went on, it'd be nigh impossible to see that, and even less chance to find the Gold AK making it even more valued and more rare. However, I do heavily agree with swords. Cavalry sabers are cool.

    Hunger/Starvation System Idea

I agree. Having this will tell you how hungry you are, in addition to being more realistic than being able to sprint for miles before dying.

Gold AKM for Loot Management System?

Okay. Did you not read the OP? It's not a CoDish thing. Gold-plated AKMs do exist, and are commonly found captured from various insurgent groups globally. They were in ArmA II as well, which is part of the DayZ cannon. It's perfectly acceptable and reasonable that it could be found in Chernarus, albeit extremely rarely.

Board games or Cards any one?

Like in Metro 2033. 7.62x39MM rounds are the currency. That, of course, is in the book. In the games, specifically military graded ammunition is the money. The idea would be awesome. Using bullets as the unofficial form of cash would be sweet.
  8. Yeah. Banditry should remain an element, but less abundant than it is now. Surviving should take an element of reliance on others. It should be hard enough to force most bandits to change their ways, leaving the hardcore professionals who can do their job effectively.
  9. I'm not saying it can't. I'm just saying, that they can't be wrong. Wrong implies it's something factual, which opinions aren't.

Board games or Cards any one?

I think lots of games could be thrown in with cards. On a side note, I wish we could do Russian Roulette with the Magnum.
  11. Opinions can't be wrong. You can disagree with them, but an opinion can't be wrong.

    Surplus Wehrmacht uniforms/helmets

We could also have the white winter uniforms that the lucky guys got issued on the Eastern Front as an even rarer item. Probably pretty poor at camouflage, unless a seasonal system is added. Then it'd be good for winters.

    gut feelings

Morality is, as you stated, subjective as well. Players having to question themselves adds dynamics. Some people won't. The devs, I believe, are against the addition of a bandit/hero or Humanity system anyways, so I highly doubt these people will get anywhere with their requests.

The point is, you don't get to know what other players have done unless they tell you or they start to shoot. But roleplay is fun!

Board games or Cards any one?

Totally support this. Card games would be awesome, and since you can do so much with a single set of cards, it'd lead to endless opportunities. Hell, you might even see new games emerging.

    gut feelings

It would force it because if you get a warning for doing certain activities, it makes you instantly a target, discouraging said activities and forcing the "No KoSing, No Banditry, No Killing" playstyle on others. Rely on your own gut feeling. If you are very poor at that, that's your problem. The game shouldn't give you an artificial way that is GUARANTEED to be correct. It removes a deceptive element. Your own gut feeling is not precise, and so you have to ask yourself whether or not to act. Giving people a way out removes that element, in addition to attempting to discourage an activity through a morality system, which is something the devs stated they do not want in DayZ. The best way to bring down banditry and KoSing is via survival elements. Shoot a gun and it draws zombies, lots of zombies, making you ask yourself whether killing that poor fellow is really worth it. Making ammunition rarer adds to this. Skills are a no-no as well.

    gut feelings

No. That is just as bad, if not worse. There should be NO indication of how many people a person has killed. You're trying to force one playstyle onto other players, even more so than the ordinary gut feeling. That system is also just as broken. "This person is shady! KILL THEM TO REDEEM MY CRIMES!!!!!". You're adding a moral system here, something that DayZ SA should never have.

    Keeping it real

Duel wielding is actually less effective than just using one gun. Not just inaccurate, but overall shitty at killing people.

    Zombie Play

I heard(Not sure about this) that the virus was most likely airborne, and that the Survivors are those few who were immune to it. I won't base too much of a claim on this, as I haven't found confirmation of it. If that happened, I'd rather have it give a "You are Dead" image where you carry on. However, it'd leave an infected wearing your gear and carrying the rest on it where you died.

    Zombie Play

DayZ zombies aren't undead. They are just infected people. They're still alive.
  21. Askelon

    gut feelings

It's unlikely, but possible. Your artificial gut feelings would make it even more unlikely. "There goes my spidey senses, time to kill this guy.". As I've said, you shouldn't get any in-game way to tell whether someone is a bandit or not. Rely on your own gut feeling.

    gut feelings

Found it. It was a pain looking for images of the flag of the ChDKZ, but I found this after looking for a while.
  23. Askelon

    gut feelings

I agree with Kyrah. There should be no indication that a bandit is a bandit. If there was to be a gut feeling, it shouldn't be artificial. It should be your own. Removing the deceptive factor makes things more dull, it takes away tension from encounters if you have a way of telling whether someone is hostile or not.
  24. Some people might. It'd be a good RP feature that you spawn with. A person could always throw it out if they don't want it. It could help identify you. One could even use wallets, badges and dog tags as trophies. Collect them up to show how many people you kill.
  25. Yeah. A specific area of the map that you needed a gasmask for would be awesome. Perhaps a rather isolated city, boxed in by natural barriers that had some sort of chemical leak or something? It could have some badass loot, but would require a gasmask to even enter the place. And of course it would have to have functional filters as well. That'd make it a rather nasty place to loot, but if you survived, it'd be well worth the trip.
