Depending on how much past bright green energized you are... this status could last days. Dark Green hydrated can probably last an hour? Im not really sure on that because its usually easy enough to stay hydrated by eating food... In short ... a 15 minute walk is not enough time to expect a status change on either of these.

I guess I just dont understand the appeal to wait so long for PvP, but hey thats just me, you can like anything you want to like :P

I understand some want this game only for pvp. Why? I have no idea, its pretty bad for just that, atleast so far. I hope PvP onlys will be a minority. Regardless of whether theres some players who PvP all the time, or all players PvP some of the time... we do need that PvP element. Its the possibility that this person you are talking to, or that suddenly is around a corner, could be friend or foe that makes the tension that makes this game interesting.

This is really the problem right here... theres not enough to do... PvP or just striking up conversations is about all there is after a point. A player selecting one of the few things there is to do, isnt really the players fault, its just the condition of a game in Alpha. I hope when theres more to do PvE wise, that 95% of players wont be PvPing nonstop still... but maybe 20-30%, enough to keep us all on our toes. But thats my opinion/hopes on it.

You know the game limits your play now? Open your mind and you will see you play in a game with rules and programming. Anyways, as many have said, its probably too late too add such game changing core feature... just like its probably too late to add starships. It doesnt change the discussion as it COULD have been an amazing feature for a survival game. tldr : calm yo titties

I dont have good luck with hunter pants... i dont think they have a heat value right now. No real data to back that up... just my general feeling.

I was actually recently thinking it might be nice if they only gave us 1 or 2 lives a day... I might get ripped apart for mentioning the idea, but a system encouraging the player to care about surviving in a survival game really makes sense to me.

Honestly the golden barrel of a gun sticking out of a yellow bush could easily be considered better camo then stock black for that situation. People furthermore could understand their lack of total control in a combat situation and use a small flashy color as an easy sign to recognize friendlies in the confusion... perhaps a pink armband or red buttstock? -
I dont know... they had a code, the player had a code... they had a disagreement... they played it out a little bit and killed over the disagreement. This is leaps and bounds better then just a random KoS. I of course no idea of either side of the story other then whats in the video... it does seem like they could have considered the life saved, and maybe it would have if they werent quite so hasty... but...

Watching walking dead it seems like people are much rarer... or spread out. The shows not about game play balance or game play enjoyability its about story telling... unfair situations are very interesting. When I first saw that video I personally thought 10 vehicles (ranging from small to large) was way too much, and not rare enough.

zombies sprint... then sometimes slow down or stop to scream... it could be my fps but it seems like sprinting zombies are often faster then me, but it doesnt matter unless they are very very close because eventually they will pause to do the zombie warcry and ill increase my distance because of it.

Well if were trying to leave a real twist into this conversation... the enviorment is going to tell you when to sleep, if theres not a zombie horde that corned you while looting, then maybe youll get back somewhere safe enough to sleep at night. Many buildings, say in the woods, or with basements or maybe caves would be wandered into could all be dark, flash lights arent only for night. Personally Id think sleeping at night during these circumstances would kinda suck.... you wake up in the middle of the night find out you are in danger and cant see.... Id think sleeping during the day, and simply watching during the night might be beneficial if alone.... that way if you are caught off guard while sleeping... atleast you can see 5ft in front of you. None of that matters of course... so back to game topic... I hope that systems are implemented that keep us loyal to certain servers, and said servers have night cycles... and maybe night play isnt ideal, but its what you do because thats the time on the server you want to be on.... but thats just my opinion.

I dont think we want game play to be "realistic" but to stress survival priorities in a reasonable/enjoyable way in a timeline that makes sense for game play. At the end of a game session I want to have been challenged to simply stay alive, but have enjoyed my experience doing so, or perhaps be slightly annoyed that I failed to do so.

I think people should be a bandit, hero, or trader WHILE surviving... and people should look at time they spend as trying to complete all tasks and role playing. Just because your highest priority right now is hunger, doesnt mean you are only looking for food. You wont pass up that shotgun and med kit on your quest for peaches. You can still interact with that player you walked past, either a bullet in his head in hopes he has food in his backpack, or a simple plea for help or trade... or avoid him altogether because you fear you dont have the time if he has nothing to offer. Right now people do not hunt, fish, or gather... they only look in cities for food. Granted systems need to change, but a deer should be a huge win in the race for food... much better then a can of beans. If that system is reinforced, or even used in its less the perfect state, found food in cities could easily be reduced IMO. -

Completely agreed... Right now I can probably start 2 new characters, gear them both, and go get them both recklessly killed inbetween my IRL meals. In that few hours of IRL time, 2 lifetimes have passed in game (or maybe a tenth of a life time for those careful players), but during that game time gathering food should still be important in a survival based game. -
Its definitely rabbits... those little bastards are really hard to see even when looking for them, and they have the footsteps of a 180lb man... Ive certainly freaked out hearing a rabbit and spun around expecting to see a shotgun pointed at my face.

Ive found 4 or so tents in the last week or so... and lost them all to the persistent servers crashing (more then just reseting) They arent to hard to find from the roof tops in Dubky, but at the moment the servers themselves arent stable enough for me to keep looking for them.
