Any news ? ... i got a key from petergames, but it isnt working since its a normal AO key, but i need a arma X one cos this version installs BAF+PMC aswell, so waiting for my key atm. Its 3 weeks now for me :\

Think you mean the aiming dead zone, you can set that in the game options, just set it to 0 .

An support@petergames.de (auf deutsch), von denen bekommt man im besten Fall einen neuen key, aber auch an support@bistudio.com, damit die sich dem Problem bewusst werden.

I wonder when we get an offical word, this problem affects more and more players.... When u add the unreported cases and players that dont know about it yet or think its a bug this is getting serious. Not to mention that keys can be banned cos of this if the "key thief" uses hacks.

Yes you can, some lobbies kicks you after a time tho, but maybe the other guy will get borred and move on to the next key -.-

Yes, when you try to join a server and the other guy is logged in with your key on any Arma2 server.

Then you should contact steam support and bohemia. Hopefully steam will replace your key.

Dont think so, they are the official publisher of Arma since 2006 (for the german region, not 100% sure ) , distributing the retail version. I would like to hear an official word on this topic tho, but realy dont think they sell multiple keys (volitional) in a dvd box . Even BIS doesnt seem to be sure what it is. First thing i saw they replied to legit owners was "you gave your key away or you have malware" , then " key is used by multiple ip s wich is an violation of the license agreement , we cant do anything" , last thing was "we are currently investigating this issue and working on a solution but it's going to take some time (few days at least). Please be patient I will keep you informed" , so theres something goin on i guess.... Peter Games is trying to help fast at least and provide us new keys so we can play, thats good support and i didnt hear anything from BIS after i sent them my keys to check a week ago. Okay, they might be super busy after that big run on Arma they having right now. There was also a problem with Arma X users some weeks ago, wich needed a patch to change player id s to let them play.

Got a realy fast reply from Peter Games, seems like they ve a top notch support. I will get a new key soon. If you have Arma X , dont forget to tell them so, because normal Arma:OA keys will not work with Arma X since PMC+BAF is included there.

Ive no clue how to change the cdkey (in regedit they are as hex code i think), but there are several people on the forums the last week wich had their cd key in use by someone else, could happend to you aswell, and the other guy just cheated: There are several threads about this allrdy: http://dayzmod.com/f...-in-use-issues/

Yes iam german and peter games is the german publisher of arma it seems, have a look on your arma X box ^^.
