    Bows, bows and bows.

Like the idea of compound but all bows should be added. The realism of the improvised ashwood is make believe. If you can find a branch or limb of a tree and take your mediocre rope and make a bow from it, then you sir need a cookie. Most rope doesn't have enough torque or pressure to launch and arrow or even make the limbs flex for a drawback. Which is why a traditional longbow implemented would be outstanding.

    craftable Flags

Then you'll have that one stupid but crafty redneck (me saying this and I grew up in Tennessee.) Will be running around with either all white on screaming he's a part of the "Klan" or has something that kinda resembles a Rebel Flag and they scream the south will rise again. Take that chance? Hell yes flags would be cool to fly near your tent or at certain roads and if you used the survival aspect of the game you could use walkie talkies to relay across distances and flags to mark locations of maybe safe houses and such.

    Sandbags and Foxholes

I believe it's a great idea, if you get to play a lot and have a private shard and you have a huge camp you want to fortify it. Sandbags all around 3 military tents, V3S blocked in by sandbags so the only way in or out is by slide through the V3S. (or explosives if the devs get a bit frisky ;) )

    Bow and Arrow improvement

Depends on how thick the sharpened stick is, and what type of wood it is made out of. Furthermore the bow couldn't just be made with a rope, not enough tension which explains why arrows shoot 5 feet before drop becomes horrible. My suggestion is add some longbows and if they keep the improvised make more steps. Like get the ashwood stick, grind it down to get all of the rough patches out so it's easier to handle, ability to put notches in with knives/axes. And then last some other material then just a rope unless that's the only thing available. Then at that point it's acceptable.

    .52 Prisoner Uniform?

Has anybody found the prisoner uniform in .52 stable yet? I've been searching and have yet to see any part of the uniform...

    Holsters, slings, and utility belts.

Okay so everybody has seen the chest holster (presumably.) so I figured why not make a one sided hip holster for the right side that came in black, brown, dark brown and gray? It would fit in perfectly and almost every country has had at least one. It would add more variety to the game and would make the game interesting with the fact you could see a players weapon on their hip. Plus maybe the shoulder holsters that the detectives use underneath their jackets that are concealed. It would be a great addition to the game especially if you were held up and bandits thought you had dropped all of your weapons. Next it would be great for a bandolier to hold ammo. Yes a bandolier like the old Mexican style bandoliers that strap across your chest to hold ammo. Or just ammo belt itself would be nice to wrap on. This would make the game more realistic by adding a lot more gear then just keeping the same old same old boring used vests and chest holster. Second off a weapon sling (such as a leather holder on the back like John Marston or a standard weapon sling that come on some M4s.) this would add the player a more realistic feel to the game especially considering the fact that the weapons just kind of attach to your shoulder at the moment. And last but not least a utility belt for all your basic storage and utility needs. Imagine having a black utility belt on with your trusty fresh spawn flashlight in it and maybe (if they add it) some form of tomahawk or small knife in it. This would decrease storage needed for those supplies while allowing you to keep them in a more realistic area.

Forest stations otherwise known as "Ranger" stations

The new building at NEAF sorta looks like a ranger station. Just sort of. It would be better if they added door and a indoor fireplace you could light.

    DayZ: No Bow Sway

I personally love archery and believe if the box away was gone that it would make for a much better weapon. Nobody who can hold a 7 pound AK up for ours at a time and sways with a box. It's unrealistic.

    DayZ: No Bow Sway

In a real situation yes guns over the vast area of a place such as Chernarus wouldn't be the most difficult to find, but bows wouldn't be either and especially with all of the hunting supplies in game bows would spawn in as well. If they guns became harder to acquire bows would definitely be a more obvious choice because you can craft them easily and make the arrows for them easily as well. I have a 45 pound draw on a recurve bow and it's not the hardest to hold back unless it's for more than 15 seconds. And obviously a gun is superior due to it's ability to spread fire over a longer range and with less effort I will not deny a guy is a far more superior weapon. But with the unrealistic sway of the bow and the drop distance being tremendous from 40 yards away makes it no competition. I can deal with the arrow drop because that's a more realistic feature but the hard right swims just seem too far fetched especially for the ingame character who is depicted as an adult male in healthy shape. He would easily be able to hold the bow still and over time the character (if the feature was added) would continue to get better.

    DayZ: Character Progress

So imagine this, that your DayZ character isn't just someone who will live for (insert time.) but instead, he's actually living in the world and not just being played as a tool, he actually evolves and adapts to the world around him. Such as if he got an infection from a zombie scratch, and you used antibiotics to get rid of it, and he keeps doing the same process over and over again, then he would become immune to the medication and would potentially die. Or as he lived longer the character began to age slowly, grow longer hair, and etc. I think it would be nice to implement some sort of idea like this within DayZ. Maybe have this as the first person "hardcore." servers.
  17. I personally would love to see the M1 carbine in the game. Especially if you could saw it down and then attach a foldable but stock. And America did help the Soviet Union during WWII with weapons so this is plausible.

US clothing, Vests and Backpacks at crashsites

That's stupid, these types of clothing or gear can be found anywhere. Sure probably not as easy to come by as an ushanka but still obtainable.
