So I'm playing on the newest version and came upon my first hatchet. I tried to pick it up and I got a message saying that I didn't have enough room in my inventory. I put everything I had into my bag and tried again. I dropped everything but my rifle and pistol and still couldn't pick the darn thing up. So how do you pick up hatchets now-a-days? Sorry if this has been asked before or if I'm just being a noob and overlooked something. As a side note, if I manage to finally pick one up how does it work exactly? I know you can use them as weapons now as well as tools to chop down wood. How do you switch between weapon mode and tool mode?

How do I update my version then? I just checked and it says 1.60.87580 I used the Worrom installer if that helps.

How do I check whether or not I have the latest beta patch installed? So you're saying I should get the PMC DLC only? Does that British one do anything? And does anyone know how to change your username?

So I just started DayZ today and played for about an hour. I'm absolutely loving it so far, but I have a few questions. Is there a way to change your character skin? I've seen videos on youtube of people in ghillie suits and people with different skin colors. I'd love to get a ghillie suit lol. Second question is related to the first. I thought I read/heard somewhere(probably on youtube) that downloading the two DLC packs add either better graphics or more skin options, but I can't exactly remember. So do the two DLC packs add anything to the DayZ experience or just Arma2? Last question, is there a way to change my username when I enter games? I play through Steam if that helps. It seems to enter me into games using my first name, and I'd like to change it to something else. Thanks in advance for any and all help! Stay safe out there.
