Maybe crappy pings + the moving made all shots miss ? thats a wierd one at that range. Iv had some pretty long range kills with akm/scope/bipod/prone, but i wasnt moving. Moisen snipers can hit from even farther away.

I'v pissed thru 75 rounds in seconds.... always have 2+, you never ever want to have to open inv and load up 75rounds in any potential hostile environment... always make sure you have that 2x2 space open as well or they dissappear when reloading. SPRAY AND PRAY ! SPRAY AND PRAY !

These are the priceless moments that keep us coming back to dayz even tho its a bugged out alpha....

Had a MP5 and a few clips prior to patch / wipe, far superior to any pistol and fits in backpack altho takes up more room than pistols. Oddly enough, never killed anyone with it, akm w/2 75drums was more than a match for most at short to mid range engagments. Blaze = dropped as soon as SKS, AK's, Moisen are found...

I prefer the Dallas mask maniac lol(gas mask as well), especially good at intimidating fresh spawn noobs... and yes i have akm w/75 drum x2 lol.... very effective in these situations.

This is why we play DayZ... get some decent gear and its a f'n heart attack waiting to happen, i'v stared at that door for 20mins plus as well, wondering if its safe to log out or make a run for it... the absolute horror of this game is what keeps us coming back over and over. However, you should at least check that guys corpse lol... if you didnt.

Its not just you, punching zombies = complete waste of time, just f'n die and respawn / hope to get better spawn point. Join server with low population / time, and you'll have better chance at finding initial survival gear - clothes, food, axe or pick. Once you find that golden axe/pick of justice zombies are no factor whatsoever, circle jerk them and you will never get hit. Also, use this http://www.dayzdb.com/map , when you spawn run to edge of town and find sign, can figure out where you are and where the decent loot drops. Basically police stations and some of those big barn types will get you up to par.

Use this website/map... http://www.dayzdb.com/map goto edge of any town and view signs, then you will be able to tell where you are. the town signs are large rectanglular signs on 2 posts, usually giving distances to other towns and a X telling you are leaving X town. Use this method any/every time you respawn to figure out where you are, eventually you get to the point where you recognise these pos spawn towns.

Title of this thread seems appropriate, my noob question: How the f'n hell do you take screen shots in this game ? searched forums and wiki to no avail. Tried the print screen + paste thingy didnt work. DONT get attached to your gear ?!?! MY PRECIOUS !!!! we luvs the gear, we needs the gear, filthy banditses stoles it from us !!!!! BANDITSES !!!!

Seeing as all your questions are answered I would like to agree with your conclusion that fresh spawn noob mode seems to be a lot more fun. Running around fully geared seems to more of a heart attack mode as im afraid to lose it all, however the light at end of tunnel - fresh spawn kinda makes up for the loss. Recent encounter: Friend and me are running north from berezino towards coast, we both have axes - no guns - backpacks - and motor cycle helments, along comes joe shmo fresh spawn, he runs up to us saluting and spamming over voice... "hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, alan, alan, alan, alan, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, alan, alan, alan, alan..." no word of a lie this goes on for like 2mins straight as we are asking him questions over voice... So, next step- axe the obviously just recently escaped mental patient, however things do not go so smoothly... friend and me are both old - im an alcoholic, he smokes a lot of weed - so in our wasted state we try to start axing this spaz attack.... much to our dismay, he is circle jerking us like fuckin muhamed f'n ali.... and still continually spamming insane shit over voice chat - we'r talking 5mins plus at this point and psycho hasnt shut up once... His insane babble has now turned to death threats and rape... As he is circle jerking my friend like floyd mayweather i am trying to axe him while not hitting my friend and he is doing the same but we seem to be losing... My buddy smartly puts his back to a wall and stops his super fly weight boxing skills cold = WHAM, an axe shot lands square = blood gushin all over= voice chat = AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH - over and over and over like the guy was really just hit by an axe... Not once, ever, did this guy shut up.... so he starts running down the road screaming over voice chat - AAAARRRRGGHHHH, me right on his ass ready to deliver the final blow, blood gushin like mad all over... No Response from Server 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 I was so f'n pissed off - this was THE most priceless encounter iv had yet in dayz, about to end in glorius fashion in an amazing axe kill on a full blown mental patient...

Only time i ever hit F2 is as a fresh spawn and have nothing to lose, and you'r right most of those encounters ended ok -cause i had nothing to lose and they realized that... but as soon as you are fully geared and run into those road warrior types - its guns blazing - cause they WILL screw you over.

Having problems finding the usual mods for my AKM, cant seem to find a scope, handguard rail, or a bipod. Looking mostly in airports and associated buildings near by, used to get all my stuff at the tent city in nwaf plus the other buildings. Tried the 2 military bases as well, not sure if im just getting unlucky or the place already looted, done this on servers that just restarted so i know it should be fresh loots. Thanks for any input.

Setting the sound options to max like quality or number of channels (cant remember atm), worked for me, now i can hear everything.

Can you put the pin back into a nade ?

Not that there are no tents, but half the tents(wooden floors) have zero loot in them now and the others seem to pop mostly crap like food and some random ammo. I must be getting unlucky...

Potentially one of the people you just killed coming back to see if any of his stuff was still there, safe bet = shoot in face.
