i see what u did there.....smart players.... please tell me how a 'smart' player is supposed to just know this? or should forum crawling be a part of the game as well? considering this event affects EVERY player on server, ( 50 player server.... at least 50 APSI will be availible? btw of the 5-6 BS i killed none of them had any APSI ) imagine if there was something out there that took of half your health if you wernt wearing a ghille suit. i heard no rumbling , and like most people i play with post-process diasbled. I can do without a constantly blurry screen. might suggest a single bolt of lightening 5 mins prior to warn of incoming EVR. sounds and or screen visuals are not enough apparently as i was playing this lastest version, last night, i heard\saw nothing to give warning. (i use headphones too) i know this sounds 'weak' but EVR should not affect players who spawned within last 5-15 minutes. personally i dont think EVR should be able to cause death but i know that wont change the dev said he doesnt want people to be able to ignore these new events, sure, doesnt mean you have to kill the players to get your point across. if you arnt going to remove the bloodsuckers invisibilty at least have them bleed when wounded. btw the bloodsuckers footprints in snow, why do they disappear behind him. only the 'current' position is visible

was loving namalsk until you added evr + bloodsuckers , great ideas, poorly implemented. Experiance one..... running down street @ old hospital, see lightening....wtf is that? ...gets worse, ok so i run into school, inside right?(not that i even knew at time) . Bang!, ko'd and passed out with zombies already eating me. Manage to kill z and limp away with very low blood. Luckily enough i was at hospital so wasnt longer before someone came and gave a transfusion. Thought i got hit by lightening, great effect , look up on net , LOSE 6K blood instantly WTF? HOW DO YOU LOGIC? exp 2, same life , running through forest, full health just found g36 3 clips, get attacked by 1 bloodsucker, take him out with 60 bullets from g36...read TWO WHOLE CLIPS FROM ASSUALT RIFLE , FOR 1 BS. Admittdly they wernt headshots mostly chest. Ok sweet that was intense but made it out alive, 200m down road get hit by 3 more blood suckers, after using 2/3 clips on 1 BS i wasnt thinking optimistically here. Turns out a player had heard previous shoot and instead of providing assistance he takes me out with 1 shot and ends my suffering. ( WHAT CANT FIGHT THEM ALONE TEAM UP no worries .....use me as bait while other person shoots me then BS's) exp 3 fresh spawn (w/ mp5 - server option).Crossing over a mountain. reach top of mountain lightening starts, ...ok im about 1000m from nearest building ....great 20 seconds to find cover guess i cant do shit. get ko'd lose half health, WHILE IM STILL UNCONCIOUS 2 bloodsuckers spawn/appear ONTOP of my ko'd body. i havnt looted ANYTHING yet. I take one down, with a carefully controlled clip to the head. start running from 2nd bs.... a THIRD spawns in. .....FUCK THIS SHIT RAGE QUIT. that about sums up my opinion of EVR + Bloodsuckers. there were no glitches invovled in my story just exactly how the designer intended. i am aware that you are not rocket, however something he said once comes to mind, events should be player driven , not random. Let the players fill the world with stories, adventure and exicitment. Your trying to force people to do things a certain way , thats bull, dayz has always been about playing whatever style you want. This is so unfair to people by themselves. No way a single player can keep up the blood demand let alone carry the blood bags even if he could use them, and there isnt enough animals to be constantly killing them for blood upkeep. Play with freinds you say? .....Considering the lack of team/group playing support Dayz provides surely you jest. I do like the new additions but you buffed them way to much. Bloodsuckers invisible huge health fast heaps of damage. spawns in packs, doesnt lose agro. TAKE ONE OF THESE AWAY NO MORE. and perfect. evr random no warning takes half health. and ko's reduce the 6k blood drop. 3k would be managable. good thing the antidote for this is on a randomly spawned creature that new spawns have slim chance of surviving let alone killing. The way u have it setup is if poeple have top-teir equipment , then it negates these challenges you have put in. High-powered weps kill bloodsuckers more easier therefore u get the ASNI (watever is it) protection, why make it easier for top-teir to survive, when this random even is just going to wipe the low-tiers out ...repeatedly , giving the top-teir players ANOTHER advatange as few people will be able to gear up before being wiped . maybe have them scale the what difficulty the server is on ie hardcore/veteran has stronger effect , normal has less. you say the EVR is in line with a story , have it player activated from A1, only availible every hour or 2. That way it isnt random. Someone went and secured a base and has to be in that location to use it, allowing said person to be hunted and killed, thereby stopping any further events until someone else tries. thanks for your time. will not be playing namalsk(previously fav map) until fixed.

Hi Required: Server - US 838 Time - 11pm-12am - AEDT What happened during the incident. Myself(drzdeano) and two freinds were playing on us 838 when we encountered someone spawning helicopters First i saw him crash a heli into the ground and the name kiddyfiddler123 appeared as a death. A short while later i saw another heli fly into elektro and land. We decided to try and hunt him, as he seemed to hover in the air over me. Unfortunatly my hachet was no match for m107 and silenced m9. However my freinds 'upside' and 'Tobehqh' were able to kill him as he landed elsewhere, the name was comfirmed again as kiddyfiddler123. We were not able to get any screenshots or video, however if you can search that guys database entries im sure it will come up as sus.

i could not play on any servers using latest arma2 beta patch 94945 i downloaded the previous beta2 patch 94876 and it worked instantly

both cities were practically levelled? i have never seen satchel charges spawn, yes ive raided nwaf many many times. you would need 30+ charges to get near the damage done, sounds legit.....

in the same server, it was worse, cherno has almost been levelled. frag nades dont blow up city blocks,

So i spawn in elektro and are confronted by scenes of desctruction. i would have got more pictures but the zombie in the second shot broke my leg and killed me im not aware of any legit ways of this happening, as much as it does seem fitting for the apocalypse. It does kinda suck as the is no more hospital or fire station in elektro to loot

to all the people telling the OP that people are MORE friendly inland and up north, that is just wrong. those northern folk will shoot ya soon as they see you because they dont want to run all the way back up there. you either find your friends in the coastal towns, or you dont. i found a friend today in cherno, we met during the evening, as he proceeded to rain extremely poorly aimed ak bullets from the roof above me, i was screaming out over direct chat stop shooting me you ass im friendly...no response just more gunfire, i finally spotted him, nailed a single m1911 shot into the chest, he backed off to bandage, i heard him yell out some shit about how was i supposed to know ur friendly. told him to eat a fat one as i ran off wondering how he could be such a poor aim. Shot over 2 clips at me ....

i could v dance all night and not get over the barb wire sandbags yes, barbwire never ever been able to just 'v' over it, certainly not for lack of trying.

Ive notice barbwire spawning alot more, like 5 wires in one building type more... ok sure that would be great when im trying to fortify a building or a tent city. not my style of play but watever. i have found ONE building(whole town was actually, if it wasnt a dupe glitch very impressive) that was actually fortified to RESTRICT entry and give strategic advantage. They left one entrance with sandbags. Was abandoned but looked cool. but what the fuck is with people blocking off buildings/fire station towers etc.... with wire so no one can get up there. I kept waiting to be shot as if the wire was so elaborate trap to lure me in for the easy kill ....nothing ...ever. just wirefence in a building.... WHY DO PEOPLE BLOCK A BUILDING THEN LEAVE IT!!!!!! are they just assholes? or is barring anyone else who comes to that server from raiding that building somehow part of a grand strategy of withholding resources from the enemy

maybe this is a real cia numbers broadcast and has nothing to do with rocket, they just hijacked an obscure mod to transmit their data...when dayz became popular they removed it...

me and friends were on US 50 server earlier tonight and he(1 person) found 2 fully working and fueled helis first he found on balota runway, he tried to fly and pick us up but crashed and blew up. he respawned in cherno (10 min later) and found one near the beach this time he made it to us and flew us around until we got jacked refuelling. everything about it seemed sus. especially the way we all got killed. props if the guy was legit but he seemed to find us very quick and shot us all within 5 seconds, my guess is we stole his haxed heli so he teleported behind our position, but hey maybe im just getting too paranoid.

predator skin, that turns invisible and also has with thermal/nvg retractable spear and that laser auto targeting rocket launcher, also give it ability to climb trees. ok maybe a little OP to be fair would also have to add the Schwarzenegger skin that spawns only with a bowie knife.

hey fellas, in a spot of trouble found my first heli crashsite, some nice loot... but a zed broke my leg... im stable on 12k blood but eatin dirt. im south of novy sobor any medics in the area? nevermind, i have received treatment and am back on my feet. am happy to provide help to anyone who needs it. medical or not.

my first nade kill was awesome, we +random guy were chilling in elektro school and hear some enfeild shots , bit sus, we eventually see this guy run past us with a massive horde behind him, i think ... can i help him... nah too many zombies...not enough bullets. oh wats this shiny grenade here....standing on school roof, i see him running behind church...fuck it, this might distract the zeds. So i launch the nade towards him, at least 40m away at this stage i see him run away... then u-turns straight back into the nade for an almost direct hit, wiped him and most of the zeds out, me and my mate were pissing ourselves laughing for the next 10 mins
