Sadly ingame voice communication seems to be not loud enough. I have SB Sigma tactic3D headphones with MIC, have no troubles in Teamspeak 3 (everyone can hear me just fine) but in DayZ, I hear and I am heard rather quiet which is bad. Any tips how to make ingame voice louder? I've put all ingame settings to max (radio,voip etc), have mic on max volume in windows setting and not sure what else to do. My headphones are connected via USB thingie which got its own sound car I think.

I think the biggest problem is,that its damn hard to remove these obstacles even when you have entrenching tools... -

Weapon spawns seem a bit more rare now even on deerstand etc. Also I had hard time finding canteen or two :). Now in search of tent, no luck after 3-4 shops...but almost every shop had an Alice pack and Czech backpack. Performance wise it seems ok for me though I did avoid zombies most of the time.

I confirm it is on the right bottom side of the screen, when you respawn. But it stays there for maybe 2 seconds and sometimes it does not help much by saying "chernorus, day 0" or something :-). But navigating by the sea + online map helps A LOT. It is just that you have to hold on through initial desorientation and lack of experience...the more you play,the better you are. Btw if your friend really did quit then I feel your pain. With friends this game is 10x better and your chances of survival are much higher. Me and my buddy survived several murder attempts by lone psychopats just because they failed to spot both of us in many cases.

My main gripe about this rampart killing is, that these fools suffer almost zero consequences. You cant tell their names even if you seem em shooting at you so you hardly can get any kind of revenge later on. I still feel that shooting random guys on bean coast is NOT proper justice and that it just perpetuates the whole mess we have now. Oh well I will continue playing with my buddy, mostly trying to avoid others and fight fiercely back when attacked. Our last successfull defence included bandit guy sneaking upon us, firing few rounds and then catching M107 bullet in his belly :-D.

You can play it alone without any friends but you will get paranoid, looking over your shoulders constantly, not trusting anybody and mostly hiding in woods in north, living of the baked animal meat and drinking from ponds. But it sure does bring crazy tense experience :-). btw by playing with my buddy we have survived like 5 cases of lone bandit attack. Most of the times the bandit saw only one of us, which was their downfall. Sadly last attack was bad, we both got killed from woods.

Ok lets say you freshly spawned with nothing but 1 bandage and 1 painkillers + flashlight in backpack. By using some of the maps on internet you can assess your situation and decide: Do I want to risk (since I dont have anything to loose) and go to Cherno/Elektro? Or do I want to play it safe and head north and loot small towns along the way? Yesterday I was killed after a week, spawned near elektro. Took my chances and went to the city,got some stuff (better pack, Remingthon shotty) but got eventually killed by moron in ghillie suit with military grade rifle. Then I spawned again,this time west of Cherno and this time I did better by going to the city (also maybe I was just lucky that not so many players were there at that particual moment). Got alice pack,matches,compass, makarov pistol and Two barell shotty. Nothing too flashy but enough for me to head north and start looking through deerstands. Btw after like 10 deer stands I found just Glock with 1 mag, M9 pistol with 1 mag and Reminghton without any bullets :-(. That was back in before last hotfix so I hope I will find something better today.

Its crazy how meeting REALLY FRIENDLY player enriches the gameplay. Sadly more and more I meet total morons, like that dbag in ghillie suit and some good weaponry killing people north of Elektrozavodsk. To be honest while sneaking to Elektro firestation I've heard someone saying " friendly" and it was some guy with enfield. He even did not murder me (I had only hatchet) and let me keep M1911 that we found in church. Moments later we parted ways as he went to meet a friend, 10 minutes ago I was 1 shotted in tower of that fireguard that is north of Elektro (part of powerplant) by said dbag in ghillie suit.

Its true, the more good stuff you have,the more scared of loosing it you are hence the only moment of freedom you got is when you die&respawn. Me and my buddy like to loot deerstands and also kill zombies around them. We hade okish gear (alice packs,survival tools,gps) and we were packing M4+aimpoint and he had FN FAL (with just 2 mags though). So we were west of Krasno where the deer stand is. We killed some military zombies,also had to kills some civilian ones. Then we proceeded a bit south, that has proven to be big mistake, over that empty field towards woods. Some more military zeds spawned,we killed em, started to looting them ...and bam bam,we were dead. Some douche killed us from treeline. I managed to toss grenade his way but must have missed him. This was first time we both died, but we had like 4 encounters were lone players tried to kill us without any provocation from our side. Luckily in previous cases 1 of us was always able to kill the attacker (once the poor sucker bought M107 round to the checst from 50 meters lol), in 1 case just my buddy died (some psycho with M249 + 6 mags killed him)....but this time, we both ended dead. TL;DR:Always travel in tree line, dont shoot zombies unless you have to or if they are in isolated place and always expect some douche start shooting you for no reason. -
I cant wait for this new hotfix. FPS really goes to like 10FPS when zombies are looking for you (in 1.7.1.4.) ,which makes playing in town unbearable. No weapon plus uber sight&hearing of zombies is also psycho heh. Plus getting to server only to magicaly be knocked out for 2 minutes also needs fixing and rather fast if possible.

This + PLEASE make it so that no tent or vehicle would save beyond map borders. That would hurt hoarders a lot and give us all a fresh start (within boundaries of REGULAR map space). Also alfa is alfa, many guys (hoarders?) ar sooo attached to their gear which ofc would not transfer to full version of mod in any case. -
You really suceed on looking like a prick here, no offense. Also using 1.7.1.1 when there is newer 1.7.1.4. version out, is not very smart. Or maybe even wait till rocket release 1.7.1.5 and then make sure you are joining servers that have this same version.

Rocket is already working on another hotfix that will remove superhearing from Zeds so hopefully we will get rid of Zeds aggroing through buildings etc.

Yes I too agree,that spawns are too many. Would be great if spawning numbers were dependant on locality you are in so in Cherno or Zeleno it would be spawning A LOT of zeds,but in small villages,it would spawn maybe 10 or so Zeds. Now I am not sure,if somebody posted a link to Twitter,where Rocket or somebody has acknowledged some zed related problems.

Good sir, you just ninjaed my thoughts I had yesterday when finding FN FAL in downed chopper. Since original FN FAL ammo is so rare,only spawning at downed choppers I believe, I also think that FN FAL definitely SHOULD accept DMR mags. Its same caliber, same size, it would really help users of this awesome gun to enjoy it a bit rather then just going through 2 mags and then throwing it away. DMR mags are also not that uber common so I believe this would not cause any massive unbalance or something. FN FAL is great rifle, it has 7,62 caliber but only 20rounds in mag, please allow it spread its love more often!!!

Yes saw Zeds appear&instantly vanish over their dead brothers too. Also about the damage to players, I shot a guy many times with my M4 before he finally died. He was quite near me, maybe 50 meters and even if I have missed round or two, he still ate like 5-6 bullets to body before finally dying....strange. -

Oh cant wait to have hatchet in utility slot again and be able to cook all the fine meat I have collected rather then risk dropping my mine weapon and ammo. Thanks Rocket and also thanks Poisonman ;) My own suggestion to have 2 different hatchets (1 for wood and 1 as melee weapon) was not that elegant. -

Axe as it is now is very bad. I mean it does not go to utility space and it is very unpleasant to have it in backpack, take it up instead of rifle to harvest wood. Can we have different type for axe for fighting and another for wood chopping as it was before? Also when you drop some stuff then it randomly spawns a lot of hatchets and crowbars with shotgun icon. Other than problem with axe, I love the new update.
