Pitty you didnt search in the grass near the helicopter. It is really worth snooping around the chopper, looking at the ground since there might be weapons lying that are hard to see.

I'd say you miss atleast the hatchet but otherwise love your clean and tidy inventory :-). p.s. I would so love if Cz backpack was 20 slot and Alice 16).

The biggest Coyote backpack (24 slots) you can find in military locations (deerstands, barracks etc). The second best Alice pack (20 slots) can be found almost anywhere (in houses,supermarkets, churches, sheds and other civilian structures). It is really about luck but lately I've seen like 3 backpacks in the same supermarket (several times)...quite crazy high ammount of them really. But if you are looking in Cherno and Elektro then there is high chance that somebody took the stuff before you.

What confuses the hell out of me is, that my friend sees me wearing different colors then I see on my screen? Exception being ghillie and camo suit ofc. Does this happen to you folks as well?

We are getting simillar thing except that our tent keep vanishing and reappearing again! Sometimes empty,sometimes with all the stuff and yes, it appears to be connected with server restarts as well. Server EU32 DayZ version: 1.7.1.5

Tents are weird, I had one, it dissapeared but then next day the tent came back but empty. This makes harder to evaluate if it was looted or if it bugged.

Whats even more good is to use M9sd ammo in Glock since its less crappy then M9 in general.

I (and not just me) feel that FN FAL should be able to use DMR mags. I mean same caliber, same bullet count...come one, this baby deserves it! Reg. M9SD I just take it's ammo and use it in Glock for silent zombie killing. Both M9SD and Glock are rather useless in PvP, but for zombie killing Glock with M9SD ammo seems to be doing very fine (remember that SD ammo in non sd gun = zombies do not hear a sheit). So far me and my buddy found just M107 sniper, FN FAL and Bison in two heli crashes. For these 3 I liked FN FAL most BUT I also hated it for lack of mags (please DMR mags for FAL!). Also found M249 on a bandit that tried to kill us, but I did not take it out of the fear that it is very loud (I had some M4 with Aimpoint at that time). Next time I would probably try M249 since ammo is not so rare and 1 box has 200 rounds. Cant comment on M4SD, M14 or DMR since I have yet to find one (I stick mostly to deer stands and some army tents, not so much to NWAF).

Yea recently I died to zombies (could not find any weapon, even found damned GPS but no weapon lol) near Pavlova, guess I could have D/Ced on them, but I dont like that stuff much. Then I respawned east of Cherno, got lucky since that town was almost empty of survivors and looted lots of stuff to keep me going up north (cz backpack,enfield+3 clips,M1911+like 4 mags and also looted hospital for morphine). What I want to say, keep trying, it is your reward in the end when you find some nice stuff. Oh and get friend or two, being alone makes everything harder and more stressfull. Having pal watching your back is golden!

I would love if the grass would be visible atleast over kilometre. So the bandit attacking you would have to look for you in the grass same as you have to. But yes, thats Arma 2 engine thingie...same as weird mechanics with ammo & magazines etc.

Yup just yesterday I found M9SD again, with 2 mags. Then I quickly realised I can not use non sd ammo and got sad. I think I will drop it if I find Glock17. That can use both G17 and M9 ammo as well as M9 SD ammo (zeds wount hear you, players will).

I dont consider this to be spoiler sice anybody who plays for few hours can figure this out. I mean Cherno and Elektro + Balota tents are killing zones, that you learn faster then you would like. T hen its up to each player to asses if its worth the risk to loot in town or stick to small villages. Like yesterday when I respawned in Elektro,got some stuff but got shot near power plant (that douche had military grade weapon most likely). Then I respawned near Cherno and was lucky enough to get all stuff I needed (Enfield, M1911,CZ backpack, survival tools - compass). Then some zombie sensed me through building and broke my leg so I had to crawl to hospital, axe door and stuff my backpack with morphine,blood and bandages :-).

Makes me feel kind of an idiot but thanks for that. I would say no harm in asking :-). back when we had server chat I was also asking "stupid" questions and people were rather helpful.

That is why you can play purely on 3DP off servers. Personaly I like 3rd person, I hate crawling in first person, makes my eyes hurt. And no, its not cheat but rather server settings. Wish you people had stopped forcing your opinions on others, but rather chosen server with settings that suits you.

Really depends on situation and RNG. Last time I found there 2x colt, 1x 1911, 1x Enfield so I left with my CZ backpack stuffed with stuff (also ransacked hospital). Guess I was lucky and didnt meet any people except two survivors when I was leaving.

Plus I have been finding ammo boxes for that beast quite a lot recently be it on army zombies or in deer stands so I would say you should not run dry any time soon :). Maybe I should reconsider, get rid of my usual AK/M4 and get this baby. Saw it just once on a body of bandit that tried to kill me and my buddy (he killed my buddy but I had my revenge on him, buried the lmg with him though).

Just that we could use more camos/skins in general. Personally I would love to spawn in kind of civilian cloth without tactvest etc and then later find contractor clothing as well as camo uniforms. Btw since DLC Army of Czech Republic is on its way I can only hope we can get also vz95 czech camo :-). You can see it in attached pic

I say amen to this brother!! I pray to baby Jesus that more and more bandits meet such gruesome end. Btw we could really use "log out timer" so that folks couldnt just D/C from fight they do not like as that is ultimate douchebaggery same as server hopping and shooting people there.

That sounds good, such shoot out in Stary or NW A with purpose with armed groups. But then you spawn in Elektro, run around a bit and get shot by some douche with military grade weapon farming fresh spawns for ego stroking. I think in time we will get more sand and more buckets for our sandbox. For time being we can just hoard some weapon for a bit and then either shoot other ppl or camp in woods avoiding everyone else.

We thank you for your well thought constructive post....NOT. Dude to find rifle with only TWO mags when you know,that the only other time you can get more mags is finding it in crashed heli again, its basically not worth taking which is a shame.

If you find M4 with aimpoint, that is more rare. My best deerstand rifle was camoed M4A3 with aimpoint. AK's are quite common but they are not bad!
