If I am not mistaken Rocket is from New Zealand and has army experience,so he must have used NATO weapons. Arma2,on the other hand, has so many Warsaw pact weapons that did not make it into DayZ, which is kinda sad since the map represents soviet like country of Chernarus. p.s. I would like to see our Samopal vz 58 as well and also would cry of joy if CZ backpack was atleast 18 slots (I dislike the tought that very old Alice backpack can carry more then modern military CZ backpack + like the looks of cz bag).

Heh guys thanks for info. Found M24 yesteday and had only 3x ammo clips (15 bullets) but my friend has DMR rifle and lots of mags for it. I was getting pretty desperate for ammo and this info solves my problem. p.s. Is it just me or does DMR rifle seems a lot better for sniping then M24? It has basically the same scope, dmr can use non-zoom option, dmr has 20 bullets in mag and fire faster. Only downside of DMR I can see is that it somehow seems louder then M24 (my opinion).

I dont know man. DayZ can be tough but its they way it is. Personally I liked more when bandit skins were around but oh well... Also Rocket is NOT done with this alfa yet, I think there are more things to come.

It sometimes bugs. We were at lake with my buddy. I filled both my canteens without any problem, he spent like 2 minutes in water clicking "fill canteen" like crazy,did not work. So we went on our way and after few minutes of walking in forest we suddenly heard the sound of canteen filling with water and voila, he had them full of water.

This story is getting more and more plot holes :-).

Hmm cant remember when I saw CZ550 for the last time. I think if that rifle had some mildots ,then it would be good, but as it is, its just sorts of starting sniper gun with disadvantage of not having mildots for proper range assesment.

Im sad that Alice, being rather old, is bigger then CZ backpack, which is imo much more sexy looking. edit: also looking at wiki will usually yield the answers you require in no time.

Id rather die like this then to die because dbag D/Cer moves to another server to take better position and then return to kill you. This server teleporting is my main gripe atm.

All I would love to see in this update is, to add atleast 1 minute disconnect timer,so that douche bags cant D/C on you,log onto different server, move to better position, reconnect and kill you (yeah happened yesterday to me and my buddy, pisses the hell outta us).

Always nice when bandits get shafted. On the other hand I would love to know how would you have behaved,if there was just that one survivor looting the heli crash...

So once again I have paid for my humanity. While trekking around deerstands, I have encountered group of two survivors (they had AK and M16 I think). It was east of Grishino. I spotted them and remained hidden, watched them from bushes. As usual I decided to not engage them and I let them go on about their business (I've had like 4 such encounters where I discreetly vanished). They've killed zeds at deestand and have left south. I was heading that way too but I kept my distance ofcourse or so I have thought. Trekking further south I emerged at north outskirts of Novy Sobor, quickly scooped the deerstand there and proceeded to circle around Novy. The thing was that friend was, upon login, swallowed by debug forest and had to run for an hour to emerge near Zelenogorsk and I was on my way to rejoin him. As I was circling Novy I saw a body of survivor. I looked left and right, the coast seemed clear so I went to check it. As you have probably guessed by now, not long after I started checking the corpse, bullets started to fly. I managed to go prone, barrel roll few times but died moments later. Before dying I saw two survivors on northern hill....it must have been those two survivors that I have left at peace. Well I did not have any special stuff, I had just AKM+7 mags, Coyote backpack, 1x antibiotics and some survival tools. What pisses me off that I keep constantly paying for trying not to be a dbag. Next time I will probably squeeze the trigger to avoid being on the receiving end... p.s. server was EU32

And what about avoiding people,if you see them first? Surely if you are well kitted out, you dont need their stuff and you might as well let them go,if they pose no threat to you? On the other hand just yesterday I left two survivors go and then like 10 minutes later they stumbled at me by accident and shot me to pieces (I was mad at myself for not killing them,but who could have known?) Hmm maybe the main problem was, that my friend ended up in debug forest after loging, so we were separated. I hope that debug forest bug is going to be fixed soon.

Thats why you can be l33t pr0 and play only on servers with this setting disabled.
