Personally I'm ok with people shooting at me in Stary or at NWA since its the place where best guns are. What irks me most is when somebody kills me near Kamyshovo, when I have nothing but flashlight. Happened again just yesterday, I was happy that I finally manage to meet my friend, we were chatting and commenting how silly our avatars look like (me having bearded guy with reading glasses) and then BAM, BAM...we were dead. I think you have to hit left side of the door to break them. Was funny, first time I went to the hospital I did not have a clue and spent like 5 minutes hacking at random windows shaking with fear of random sniper taking me out.

From what I have seen in arma2, the holo sight is worse then Aimpoint as it has no zoom?

Well if you are one of these folks yelling and making crazy noises on global&command channels, then ban is appropriate.

Yes poor Zeds are often broken, not aggroing on sound of gunfire, totally ignoring you etc. But I believe devs are aware and meanwhile we can still test/play until new version comes. After latest beta Im getting even better FPS and except zeds, so far so good. Just hope that bag will not travel back in time again.

If your statement is true,then "half the gamers" should get their shit together and start alfa testing (or is it beta tester even for alfa version?). Btw Im not saying I'm the pinnacle of beta tester,but at least I don't biatch if I have to manually download some stuff in order to play/test alfa version.

Aha that is why my Arma2 stopped working after I tried to downgrade DayZ. Thanks for clearing this out, guess there is no going back for me heh.

So would you rather be nuked in beta or retail? btw I understand your frustration,but better to experience it now then later. Also alpha version items are worth nothing mate.

Is it really wise to judge a game that is months from being complete?

Strange, with 1.7.2.3 and beta 94945 I was able to gut several animals without problem. Problems I see with 1.7.2.3. + 94945: some mild desync FPS goes down after few hours of playing, have to relog to server to fix this. Some zeds are standing or prone, only turning their heads. Inventory sometimes warps back in time, deleting stuff and putting already thrown stuff back. Zeds sometimes respawn rather quickly, almost could not finish looting of heli crash. Thats probably all I can think of.

Sorry it did not work. I've realised that it was fix only if you were having Battleye initialization error when on 94945. Btw funny thing is I've tried to downgrade from 94945 to 94876 but then I've got ARMA stopped working error so I guess Im stuck with 94945 and luckily I can play this version although I had my inventory warp in time to loose AS50 sniper. Also I have to turn the game off every 4 hours or so because FPS goes down a lot and after restart its ok for few hours again.

Well the AS50 mags were still there in main inventory. Only the AS50 itself, that was originally in backpack, vanished and was replaced by some junk I had & threw away few hours ago. And I remained several minutes on the server after looting AS50 before logging off.

Hm first problem, found AS50 (yay) from heli crash, loot it with 3 mags. Log our and after 2-3 hours I log back and AS50 is gone, replaced by some stuff I had and threw away earlier (some trash from deer stand). Only AS50 mags stayed. edit:also encountered slight desync I have ARMA2_OA_Build_94945

There is simple fix to be able to play with latest arma2 beta 94945. Just download Battleye update v1.61.94945+ from here http://www.battleye.com/download.html , put it into your arma 2 operation arrowhead \ expansions \ battleye and then you can join and play !

You just made it sound like it's your gear that is the most important thing, which we all agreed it is not. Maybe just wrongly chosen words or maybe I'm tad oversensitive to all "hoarders" (not saying you must be one of them) that can't stand loosing stuff during alfa stage and then are crying for version rollback.

I would just like to specify what the correct folder for Steam users is. Steamapps \ common \ arma 2 operation arrowhead \ expansion \ battleye Gonna try the latest beta with this manually updated Battleye.

Guys go back on track and comment recent patch. Rocket has said several times that things will get bad before getting good so if you can not stand loosing your equipment due to patch, then you are free to leave and go play commercial products like Call of Duty and Battlefield 3 or whatever. Btw you have paid for arma 2, you did not pay for DayZ. And yes I realise that many people bought Arma 2 solely for DayZ, but if these people expected flawless experience of this Alpha stage mod, then they are rather naive.

If you are having problems with editor or arma 2 MP, then just move @Dayz folder somewhere else (like to your desktop etc).

Did you try to downgrade arma2 beta to 94876? The newest beta 94945 seems to cause problems atm.

You are mistaken. Only thing that is really important is to squish bugs and get stable versions etc. If your gear is lost in the process,then its just the way of alpha tester.
