Would be nice if fireplace made inside buildings provided warmth, this bug needs to go fast. I also can't wait for when canned food become scarce, BUT our players will stay energised somehow longer. Not fun eating 4-5 cans of food, some veggies before you are fully energized only to lose that status minutes later. Same goes for Gorka clothing. Those could be the best protection against weather, but they should be somehow rare. But I'm getting silly again, game lacks balance in alpha stage, so here is me hoping for all of this in beta. Overall I'm glad that weather will play big role, it just needs to be tweaked.

Or the requierements are too hard to meet, so it does no trigger? But yeah, not sure new stuff spawns....

Well there is some merit in what you've written. Still I prefer traveling north and having a chance to encounter some people randomly as opposed to dwelling in coastal cities for 24/7 death match. I guess once canned food is rare, folks will be forced to hunt and north seems as better place for that maybe. Once there are cars, folks will want to drive them up north away from sweaty palms of fresh spawn right? Once loot tables are robust, then maybe folks will want to go north for them helicrashes even more. If barracks were left only in north, that would also help. Plus there are plans for completely new military based even further north-west from NW airfield. Maybe it will get some specific loot in time, who knows? So I hope time will come, when north will be THE place to be once again.

Stalinwood! Btw those server crashes need fixing same as temperature behaving weirdly (well clothed folks getting cold status). Except of this I like that game got harder. Btw I do wonder, if that respawn loot system really works? So many times you find just useless shit, which makes me wonder, if loot respawns at all?

That's some vicious circle. I travel north and I do enjoy good human interaction, be it friendly banter or bullet between eyes. But I totally dislike hanging around spawn areas forever and doing this "fast food" style action where you do not care about surviving at all. I'm trying to say, if more folks went up north, we all could have some decent DayZ action that fits the theme a bit more, than crazy 24/7 firefights in Berezino.

So you guys did not have any technical probs on those 75 men servers yesterday? First I played on SE2, all was good, met some strangers and we continued to loot Elektro, but then server crashed. Got back, my new buddies did not :(. Anyway got chased by invisible zombies, ran away on top of peak Kozlova. Proceeded to Dubki, but again invisible zombies. Logged to SE1, did not see or hear zombies (nice), but could not pick up stuff from the ground. Decided to call it a day and quit.

Does it matter that much? As long as we are seeing progress, I'm ok. On the other hand, if beta did not arrive before june/july next year, I might get worried.

Temperature system is great thing and I'm glad it is in the game. Rather simple thing but because of temperature, completely foreign folks joined up with me in order to create camp fire and survive. Having said that, the current iteration of temp.system must be buggy. Full gorka set, gloves, hat, balaclava, fully energized & hydrated and still was freezing. Such could only happen in harsh winter, not during autumn. My buddy also frozen in that down jacket, which is basicaly jacket for winter filled with feathers right? There's not much warmer than that. So once it's fixed, gonna be good times again!

I got held up twice. First, dude shot me in the head moments later, but maybe if my mic was working, it might have ended differently. He also said "sorry mate" so there's that. Second time, two dudes with AK's jumped me while I was hidden in some house going through my loot. They yelled at me to not move, so I complied, having only Mosin. They took all my food, took my mosin ammo so that I could not shoot them ...and yes, they fed me few worms O_o. In the end I survived as my buddy brought me charcoal later. Hmm wonder if going to water pump, drinking to the point of puking, would have helped, if I did it fast enough? Anyway that second encounter was interesting and I'm glad it happened, instead of them just shooting me right away. Lot more fun than your every day KOS business.

Couple of things need to be changed, before night time is good: 1. we need new renderer to make night look better. Arma 3 has a lot nicer nights! 2. once we have new renderer, maybe it will be possible to "lock" gamma & brightness. I remember, in Arma 3, I could not "cheat" night with brigthness/gamma at some point. Not sure how they managed, but it was definitely there although I'm not sure if it was connected to specific night cycle only. 3. Light should not shine through solid matter. Not fun when you try to use flashlight in dark night only to appear as small version of Lighthouse. If night was the same for everyone, I'd play it, but please NO pitch black nights.

This 10x. I only paper with a note had visible writings over it, that would help a ton.

Wish we could fix those with sewing kit. Found nice plain black one in police car...but since it is badly damaged, it looks terrible. btw no matter what you guys wear, whoever wants to KOS you will try it anyway.

Just joined 1st person server and had the same char I had on 3rd person. Maybe it was 3rd person server and they have just disabled 3rd person view?

Not sure if you already talked about it, but there is supposedly bug where fireplace does not warm you at all, if you make it inside buildings. Also there is new theory that boots are bugged and are causing you getting cold. I was getting you are cooling off messages, found out my boots were damp and ruined, so I switched them and it help. Some folks reports that they need to always change boots when swapping servers, else game thinks they have no boots at all.

This new model rocks. Now I wish that we can play as old grumpy hobo man ! I want my ingame character look like this ! And thats including that shopping cart !! edit: just noticed theres what seems as dead lady in that cart. Fk it, want it anyway!

Would be ok with that, but personaly I'd be fine with mosin being just poor man's rifle with pu scope only and bayonet. But I understand that with how weapons are now, they wanted to have something like "sniper" rifle and Mosin is currently in this role with LRS. Maybe once SVD somes, then Mosin will be changed to pu scope only rifle, we shall see.

I'd rather that Blazer and Cz527 accepted optics, rather than Sporter. Also Mosin might be better with just pu scope. I consider Sporter to be basicaly the lowest rifle, pimping it out does not make much sense to me, gameplay wise for sure. But I kinda agree with you, that maybe too many weapons are too modular as it is now.
