I can agree with that. If you press a button, it should always do the same. My buddy got recently killed because his weapon refused to stay in his hand, when he selected it from hotbar. It was rather frustrating. edit: Gun fights would be also so much more fun, if wounded players were limping or somehow showing they are injured.

Just an hour ago, me and 2 other buddies robbed a dude. We did not harm him, just cuffed, took his SKS, buddy gave him Blaze and I sweetened the deal with 2x cans of sardines. Yes, we robbed him, but I think we were not that bad. I'm trying to say that letting folks live is often rewarding experience as well.

Yup man, but as nettles said, only badly damaged and it goes up only to damaged :(. Worn would have been so much better. Also pitty that sks bayonet or M4 one do not work for cutting animals. But those things should be fixed at some point I believe. Few times all I found was fully looted towns with no food, so hunting a cow or wild animal was a good thing. I just wish cooking took like 5 minutes, not 8-10 or how it is now.

Once I have drum for AKM, I basicaly do not need any more magazines. But yes, I think that if you have magazines, you should reload them by pressing (or holding) R, not with mousewheel menu which you need for opening doors.

Pitty that sharpening of kitchen knife with stone makes it only damaged. I hoped for worn.

I'd be happy if my char did not randomly put away his weapon, or throw it for no reason. I mean if devs ironed out all thos glitches and bugs, I would be perfectly happy with movement being slower than in CS or UT. Just please dont let our avatars fall from ladders, be raped by stairs, stand up from prone position when crawling over railway or pavement or such. If that could be fixed, I'd be happy, no need to mutate DayZ into something it was not ment to be. As Karmaterror wrote, I also expect DayZ SA to be evolution of mod, not anything resembling Counter-Strike or such. edit: I've got 331 hours clocked on Standalone, hope my opinion is allowed.

Wonder why they just did not remove the old bandanas and let the new ones take their place. And yes, having matching pair is just sexy and evil.

Well what we have now might not represent what we will have in beta or later. But yes, some of the decisions developers have taken might suggest, that they want DayZ to appeal to masses. Don't like that much to be honest as my signature can suggest.

Svetlo or Novo seems quite popular. Personaly I avoid Berezino though, too much of cluster fudge so often.

I think OP is probably young player who recently bought Standalone, without any previous knowledge about the game. It is to be expected that he is now confused. Anyway no, DayZ was never fair nor aimed for "casuals" hence this game might not be the right one for OP.

My two buddies said, that game runs worse in terms of FPS. I've not noticed that myself though. Melee system is wonky, I thought it's because they are reworking it. Found black track suit pants and !jacket! which made my day! :-)

I disagree. Loot respawn mechanics was needed, having this tied to server restart is stupid and allows for more effective server hopping. Now atleast when somebody is loot cycling say Balota, you have chance to shoot that dude. I believe that after some tweaking, like introducing cooldown before stuff respawns, it will be very good. Let's not forget that balancing was not done at all and will happen once SA gets to Beta phase. TL;DR: Standalone needed respawn mechanic, it just needs to be expanded and polished.

Let's be happy that we have loot respawn that's working and not cause rubberbanding to hell. But ofcourse this system needs a lot of tweaking to be good.

Just wait till game is closer to being finished and loot spawns adjusted. Then, maybe, you will have hard time to find AKM or even SKS and you will consider yourself lucky finding CZ527 or such. If you dislike civilian weapons then maybe Arma 3 might be your cup of tea.

I pray to baby Jesus that CZ527 mags are spawning in civilian areas! Maybe thats why you could not find them in military buildings! YAY!

6 posts, he is baby still. But yeah, 2 hours of server hopping is kinda low heh. Hope he gets punched by some freshies the moment he collects all the shizzle he wants.

No worries good man! I guess I'm bit touchy on this subject anyway :-D. I like most of the gun suggestions in here. Definitely would love more Eastern pistols and weapons in general. Oh and yes, I secretly hope for Sa vz.58 to appear even though Scubaman said, it's not distinctive enough compared to AK :-(. I believe it is distinctive enough both visualy and how does it sound. Also if devs implement more weapons simillar to M4 (M16, HK416 etc), than this argument will be moot. -

I don't want to be annoying but Czech Republic does NOT border with Ukraine. It used to be the case in times of Czechoslovakia, but since 1992 there is Czechoslovakia no more and the Ukraine borders with Slovak republic instead. Btw if this was already mentioned earlier, then I apologize. -

I think, that zombies in SA should be atleast on the same level of threat as in mod. In mod, if you behaved dumb aka shooting Lee Enfield near town, you could get swarmed. I agree, that once you get better at playing, zombies were not uber threat, but you still had to take them into account. Like you wanted to snipe that dude, but you knew it would attract 10 zombies, so maybe you had to wait for better opportunity. I think that with SA, they have opportunity to take zombies step further and make them better than in mod. Now they atleast do not slow down inside buildings that much, that is a step in right direction. We need them to be more numerous, but also their senses adjusted so that you can sneak past them. When you mention Romero's movies, I remember two remakes, Dawn of the Dead and Crazies, and in these, the zombies / infected were pretty much BIG threat ! TL;DR Zombies in DayZ will never be the same threat as players, but they still should pose real threat to certain degree as not to be completely ignored. -
Let's take it easy, we are all "fviends" here :). Anyway given the fact, how much work it would take to create fat & skinny models and redo all clothing and some animations for them, this is hardly ever going to happen I'm affraid. Would be fun if you could play as fatass, run half the speed of the other survivors, BUT your stomach would be extra large, so you could eat all you found without getting stuffed ever!
