Just a bug/exploit I noticed when I stand on top of trash heap I become extremely hidden especially inside large builds even with zombies in front they will roam away.

If you are reading this. Thank you very much Rocket, nice update. I have been kind of cynical with last couple of hotfixes. However, this one really helped.

much smoother. Still a bit of a pain to get away from zombies still feels very awkward. Otherwise very nice to see this "come along"

Hotfix Build 1.7.1.4 Rolling Update (was 1.7.1.3)

also what is VERY vexing is why hasnt there been any progress on increasing number of zombies and make them you know NORMAL speed. Can we try that instead. I do not care if it is alpha beta phi stage. Can we just try stuff we know will work. -
Hotfix Build 1.7.1.4 Rolling Update (was 1.7.1.3)

I just do not know why as I have said before since this current engine of Arma II will only cause huge issues with melee and other add-ons. Why can we keep the core of what Arma II does best. A military simulator..Melee is not going to work smoothly. Please can we just fix the zombies..Thats it the zombies. Limitations are clearly being seen and felt with all these other hotfixes that I know that you know will only cause problems. -

Oh come now. It is easy to survive but tedious to do so.

ahh thanks Rocket!

Oh another thing that gets on my nerves are these supposed "experts" telling supposed "noobs" learn how to play to survive since the update. Weakest argument ever. It is not a matter of skill to survive but lots of patience. WE ALL KNOW how to game the zombies. Build a better zombie and they will come.

Hahaha' date=' love the flying metaphor xD Personally, i like most of the changes. No weapon, very nice. Reduced starting gear, very nice. Harder Hitting zombies, another great addition. I even like the increased amount of zombies, it adds a wonderful sense of danger. The only thing i dont like is the zombies detection range, when combined with their run speed. Currently it is as if the zombies are given the eyes of a hawk, the agility of a gymnast, and the legs of Hussain Bolt! I dont mind having tons of zombies that move fast, but have a slightly harder time finding you, or tons of zombies that can detect you easily, but move closer to a jog speed. But all three, super fast, super perceptive AND tons of them? Its a little overkill. Rocket, The mod is great, but you have to have a balance. I say keep the increased amounts of zombies, keep their new strength, lower their ability to spot you just slightly (by maybe 5-15 yards), increase their hearing dramatically (if i am firing a gun in a small town i want to attract every zombie in that town. Guns are loud after all!), but lower their speed to either a jog or a shuffle. Thanks for your time. [/quote'] Exactly. The core issue with me are the zombies. They STILL just feel like a annoyance rather than a challenge. I do not know why there has been an effort now to make players get along. what a paradox right? I sometimes feel like there is this anti balance rhetoric, yet that same group seem to be promoting the heart beat for the sake of balance game play. Fix the zombies and they will come.

I guess even in Scandanavia, some people don't get it. Look, I wasn't trying to silence you. Very dramatic. I was pointing out that this is a game in alpha cycle. Both of you act like its the end of the world. Har har see what I did there? Though I'm usually more trollish (mostly for our outspoken Scandanavian friends!), my point was to be patient. I'm sure that rocket and the others appreciate the feedback, but essentially complaining that you only got to play for two days is not beneficial. Make your points rationally and if you really cannot play. Then wait for the next set of changes. It's development. Get used to it. This is not a complete game, or anywhere close. I know it isnt a complete game. But Im not going to just sit around and act like this update was good. Starting with no weapons would be ok IF this game wasnt a mod for Arma II. A military simulator. Lets make a mod for plane simulator and leave out the wings and see if we can crash land every time..But biggest turn off is heart beat.

yea, pretty abysmal game play not harder or challenging. The best way to describe is just frustrating. I just do not know why in the world you would want to start off with no weapon in this game AND heartbeat oh well hopefully this is fix. Until then I guess I will have to wait..again.

More than likely this has been said before. But since I have checked these forums now many times I'm really surprised no one has really mentioned the real reason why no one really works together. Ive been a long time fan of Arma, absolutely wonderful game. The game doesn't force you to work together with others BUT life will be much easier when trying to take hard objectives or want to get inside cities with high number of enemies. I'm really worried about this humanity thing. Frankly IMO it is silly because it does not address the real issue of why no one working together. Sadly I do not think anything can be done for now to organically fix "working together" until zombies are much harder to kill and more dynamic. Especially so in cities. I guaranteed that would fix the whole co-op thing. Now of course not make it impossible, but life should be hell trying to enter populated areas by yourself. I think the real reason why this mod has taken off is because this is one true hope for that GREAT zombie game. Maybe when a new engine is available the core reason can be fixed which is more and tougher zombies. But a humanity system is going in the wrong direction. But hopefully all this can be corrected and in the future with a new engine a truly horrifying experience can be made.
