Exp Update 0.61.136468
BeaverProductions replied to Hicks_206 (DayZ)'s topic in PC Experimental Updates
Yes. To test the patch. This is experimental. If we follow through with that type of thought process: "so, is there any particular reason why you release a patch Thursday if you're not working weekend as it might take 2 days to fix the problems?" "so, is there any particular reason why you release a patch Tuesday if you're not working weekend as it might take 4 days to fix the problems?" "so, is there any any particular reason why you release a patch Monday if you're not working weekend as it might take 5 days to fix the problems?" "so, is there any any particular reason why you release a patch?" Experimental is not for playing, its for testing for crashes and bugs. Having it crash means experimental is working as intended. If there were no crashes and everything was working perfectly the release would be on stable. -
You should post to the gallery bud

A little 0.61 adventure where I test and talk about using the bow to clear out infected in towns. Then I meet 2 guys at a police station and get through that whole awkward situation. I finish off with a bit of PVP in Novy with the shotgun. Is it really that powerful in Experiential ?

This is the final episode of my UK Alliance Hardcore first person PVP journeys. I hope you have enjoyed the 4 episodes. Please feel free to let me know what you think.

Are those "fixes" temporary or this is really way dayz dev's gonna follow
BeaverProductions replied to gaweu's topic in General Discussion
There is absolutely no point diverting valuable man hours to fixing bugs on items which are either still in development or will be completely reworked down the pipe line of development. -
Can someone explain this phenomenon to me ?
BeaverProductions replied to General Zod's topic in General Discussion
Just for some background info. I hid in a bush, miles away from anything, and unwrapped 3 boxes of ammo with a full backpack. 3 pieces of paper spawned on the floor. I logged off. 24 hours later I logged back in and the paper was still there. I logged off again. 24 hours later I logged back in and the paper was still there. I logged off again. 24 hours later I logged back in and the paper was still there. I get the feeling that these spawned items (along with guts/pelts/logs) have a persistence value attached to them of days if not weeks -
In this episode we are back at NWAF, again. Doesnt everyone end up there when they don't see any life for a while? Yet again we almost instantly spot some survivors down at the West wall, heading to the southern compound and decide to head down for a rumble.

Just a short little clip to show that not everything in the apocalypse is kill or be killed. Probably one of the friendliest hold-ups ever.

Pushing traffic to castles and Northern Highway
BeaverProductions posted a topic in General Discussion
I really like the castles in the game. I often visit them for the view. I have over 4600 hour in DayZ and have never bumped into another survivor there. What do you think could be done to push people to go visit these locations? I was thinking about a dynamic military tent spawn in the castle ground. This could travel around the various castles on the map in a similar way that choppers spawn in various locations. Perhaps just one or two tents like the Sosnovka tents in 0.61 so it doesn't get too easy to gear up there. I was also thinking about the northern highway and towns like Novo/Severograd/Novaya Petrovka. What would you think of a dynamic military convoy (BMPs/Humvees/V3S) that spawned some decent loot in those cities and possibly along the highway? -
Exploring 0.61 Tisy radar building at night time with head torches takes the game up to a whole new level of fear!

The lesson I learned from the ending is that we should have left the doors open. That way I would have been able to see him approach the doors to escape, instead of having a fraction of a second to fire when he opened the door

The last guy didnt even put up a fight!

In this second episode in a new series of videos, I team up with a fellow content creator, Ogek on the UKA First Person Hardcore server. Armed with an AMK, we made our way to NWAF. Ogek only had a chambered AK74 and a pistol initially. Please go to Ogek's YouTube page and give him a sub. He has alternative viewpoints of our encounters which you should check out. This was the first time we had ever met up in game so it was great to get to know him while travelling the wastelands, taking names and breaking hearts. -

So I wouldn't go climbing Altar Radio towers...actually someone climb it to test if the same happens to you...for science -
A long battle where we are initially pincered between two or three groups at NWAF.
