Hey Guys, I am writing to the forum today with an idea! An idea of a whistle, like the little black one that you get as a lifeguard. A whistle would come in use in many ways, but the reason I thought of it is because I am currently stuck on top of the City Hall tower in that semi-new town. For some reason, I was walking on the top and randomly my leg broke. I heard no gunshot and no one was around, but my leg broke and my gear from the pants down was ruined. I had no bullet wound, either. Well, I have been up there for about a day, screaming for help, willing to take my chances of a player either helping me or putting one in my head. I do not have much stuff, otherwise I would crawl in the *newly updated zombie-filled* city to find a stick, but I would rather see something go down. Anyway, I got the idea of a "click-to-whistle" action, if you happen to find one. This way you can signal the S.O.S signal to players near and far (maybe as loud as a gunshot?) so that you can take your chances calling someone. This can also be a way to signal your friend if you two are trying to meet up and you are just not sure where you are. It could also be a way to signal your buddy that its safe and there are no other players or to "unfold a butchering" *only a few of you will understand that*. For the bad side of it, it could be used by bandits or KOSers to lure in a Bambi to their doom, but that's just the dark side of me talking. Post your ideas and what you think! Good idea or bad idea? Give me all your beans, Harrison PS I am actually hungry, I want beans. And also, if you are wandering around the City Hall, you might hear me sounding off for help, please be nice... XD

Don't worry, before I even posted this thread my Holy Soda Pop was stolen off of me. Apparently it was no secret that I was harboring it in by backpack and when I was holding someone hostage(poor guy didn't deserve what came next) another player came up and shot me with a shotgun and told me he was taking the soda. All I could do is listen to what he was doing to the other player(who was Portugese and was using Google Translator to talk to me). I heard my killer yelling at him and the hostage was practically crying through the MIC. Then I heard his player throwing up violently. It was too much, but apparently the hostage's friends came up with assault rifles and turned the tables. I heard lots of yelling and then some gun shots before I respawned. The whole thing was one big mess. Tip: If someone gives you an Endless Pipsi, reject that junk, because he might end up telling other that you have it.

I need the help of the Forum on this one. The other day I was playing Dayz and I was looting inside the wrecked ship, Rify (I think?) on the coast when I was shot twice by a sniper and managed to crawl inside. By then I was barely able to see in front of me, when a blurred figure appeared, aiming a rifle at my face. Then, right when I think I am about to die, I hear, "Don't worry kid, I took care of the sniper who was shooting at you" He then patched me up and asked if I needed any food or drink. Before I could mutter the word, he handed me a Pipsi and told me it was endless and to keep it, that he had two. I told him I would return it and he shrugged it off and said he needed to leave. I need to know who this was so that I may thank him under better conditions. He is my savior and I feel I cannot get this off my chest until I do. Forum, this is your time to shine, I guess spread this story around until, hopefully, ny savior reads it and messages me. Thanks Harrison(DayZ Name)

Trust me, if I had a gun to use, I would never use it. I steer clear of gun use unless provoked by another player, which has not happened yet. Thanks for the advise, but the reason that I am crawling in is because I am still not got with melee weapons and end up getting hit about twice per swing that I perform.

Warning! Stay Out of Gorka and Staroye, especially S-SW Gorka and N-NE Staroye. Both towns and the fields interconnecting them have been overrun by hordes of zombies and travel through these towns is ill-advised. I am a relatively new player to the game and have been making my way to Elektro for some time now and never experienced anything like this town yet. My tactic when approaching a town or building is to be as stealthy as possible, crouching and hiding in grass to avoid zombies. This tactic did not seem to work in these towns (starting in Gorka) as every time I looked around, a zombie was running after me or spawning in front of me. After having my leg broken by a swarm of them, I managed to be next to a small house where I was able to close myself inside and kill the remaining zombie with my axe. Then I was able to splint my leg and switch servers (it might sound cowardly, but I will do what I must to survive). After coming back to a fresh new server relatively zombie-free, I made my way through the field (crouching the whole way) towards what I later found out was Staroye. Before I could even come to the first building, I was attacked from my six by a crawling zombie. When I turned around, I noticed about five zombies behind me. I was chased into the wilderness about 70 meters away until I was clear of them. I managed my way into a bar where I climbed the stairs to the highest floor and patched myself up. I had just a few minutes to view my map and locate my position using my compass before two more zombies began climbing up the stairs towards me. Instinctively I logged off before I could be battered again. I want to warn any players who are not heavily armed and prepared to deal with hordes of zombies to stay OUT of Gorka, Staroye and the fields between. Also, it is not worth visiting these towns as they are not high value lot spawns and only served me in looting a compass, canteen, some food, and warm clothing. Good luck to you and stay safe, Harrison :beans:
