    Government/Private Laboratory Facility

Unlikely that there are any research laboratories in Chernarus (with the exception oflaboratories at hospitals and factories), for the simple reason Chernarus is a poor andsmall country of the former USSR and the player is mainly in rural areas and inrelatively small cities. So it's possible there are only laboratories, hospital laboratories to the veterinary and hygienic services or in some factories
  2. Found on reddit. Ie civilian weapons produced in Russia. VPO-301 Griffin Hunting rifle / shotgun which interesting design feature is the ability to adapt it to the 3 types of ammunition, a 308 Win, 223 Rem and 20 gauge whole conversion involves the exchange of three elements namely barrel, magazine and bolt face. Available with a magazine for 2, 5 or 6 rounds. VPO 210 (12 Gauge) and VPO 211 (20 Gauge) Semi-automatic shotguns from factory Molot. They have a rotary magazine 3 + 1, like oversized 10/22 (at least as described by the owner). In the photo, the 210 is at the top and 211 below MA-PP-91 Based on PKSK version of PP-91, semiauto pistol, made for private guards service. Almost the original PP-91 without full auto. So this one - is civilian version of it. Longer barrel with fake can on it, welded stock. Mouflon (Mosin-Nagant M44 in .410) Curio from Russia. Due to legal restrictions on the possession of firearms in this case the possibility of having rifle only after 5 years of having shotguns, local gunsmiths adapt M44 rifles and other ammunition caliber 7.62 to 410 as a substitute of rifle for sport shooters and hunters who do not have five years "experience". In the countries bordering on Russia "ersatz-rifle" has gained a certain popularity due to cheap ammo from Russia in this caliber.
  3. A copy of the Browning HP is produced in Hungary, in addition Chernarus is bordered by Takistan which received considerable military support from the West during the Cold War (Mil-Surp import) so its presence in Chernarus would not be unusual.
  4. Yeah could use a typical hunting rifle uses the same ammunition as the Mosin. But the developers will add more rifle manufactured by the European company as CZ, Sauer and Sabatti

    New Ammo Request: 8mm

Unfortunately this caliber is disappearing in Eastern Europe after the hunters began to replace sporterized versions of the M98 (most of them are guns adapted to the needs of hunters in the communist era, from surplus weapons that were captured during the Second World War and the newly produced rifles from Yugoslavia) new weapon beginning of this century. But there is still quite a lot of M98 (hunterized and military versions) in trade. Hunterized version looks something like this.

So M1 Garand has been confirmend...

To the Soviet Union during WW II sent tens of thousands of these rifles, after the war, most of them went to the store where they were kept as a reserve in case of World War III. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, most of them were sold to civilians or sent them to the steelworks. Still is a neighboring Takistan which received considerable military support (including guns lying in warehouses of US Army or old production lines for M1 Garand) from the United States during the Cold War. So personally this rifle could exist in Chernarus but relatively small amounts.
  7. There is only one problem, a carbine with such characteristics is already in the game under the name Sporter 22. Pump-action 22 LR carbine is rather something that is common only in the USA but not in Europe (at least never met with an offer to sell something like this in Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany). By the way, style of your suggestion (M1 carbine in 22LR) and location of the place of action DayZ would more fit Erma EM1 or Chiappa M1-22 which are manufactured in Europe than Marlin which in most sends to Europe only lever-action rifles.
  8. Firstly, communism ended in Eastern Europe about 25 years ago and the Soviet Union collapsed 23 years ago. What this means for the shooter in these areas? In the shops there are plenty of western firearms which is popular all over the world (yep, local shooters use the same weapon that uses a Western Europe or the USA, albeit with some exceptions such as Baikal shotguns and a lot Soviet army surplus but Glock, Sabatti, Remington, lever-action rifles or AR-15 are as common as in the rest of Europe) , moreover, the local armed forces and police in Chernarus could these two and a half decades to replace its Soviet-era weapons for new weapons. As for the Dragunov rifle, these guns mostly sent for scrap or are interred somewhere in warehouses army and police in most countries of the former Eastern bloc since been replaced by a new weapon from the west as part of the standardization of weapons within NATO and słybymi performance this rifle compared to requirements of today's battlefield.
  9. I know. I wanted to give only the ability to add to DayZ Standalone, one of the most iconic guns from the mod and at the same time reconciled with the fact that the developers "do not like strange calibers in the game" (that is 303 British) adding a possible in-game description, a small easter-egg and give a little lore about Chernarus and Takistan.
  10. Whats about "gumofilce" (kolhozniki, village administrator shoes, filce, etc)? They are very common in this part of Europe (they are downright synonymous housing in rural areas) and good protection against cold and water.
  11. TAF Frontier (real name AIA No 4 Mk IV and M10 B-2 Match) (7,62X51) That's my idea for players who miss the "dinner bell" from mod. The most famous product Takistan Arms Factory or Lee Enfield rifle replica uses the 308 Winchester caliber ammunition with a barrel length of 24 inches. Rifle in Chernarus appeared in the mid 80s as gifts to members of the Communist Party. The rifle has become popular in the former Soviet Union and other countries in the 90s among shooters looking for weapons which will be similar to the British original but will use the wide widespread ammunition. was also a version of "Match" adapted to the needs of hunters Anschutz 1903 Popular among sports shooters carbine. It is often part of the arsenal of shooting clubs and shooting sections in schools that exchange of used equipment from the Soviet era to something new. Vostok CM-2 (22LR) Old rifle massively used by the military, police, shooting clubs and schools in the time of communism. Today, despite the passage of years, is widely used by sports shooters, hunters and shooting clubs due to the low price and great quality Bersa Thunder 22 (22 LR) Very popular handgun from Argentina. With good performance, good ergonomics and accuracy has become a popular pistol among shooters seeking as a universal weapon for recreational shooting and on the sports competitions MCM Margolin (22 LR) Still in production, the Russian sports pistol, which won three Olympic gold medals. It is famous for its indestructibility, constructional simplicity and their widespread throughout the former Eastern bloc, despite many flaws factory version (too narrow bow and rear sight, coarse trigger mechanism not adjustable, standard cladding grip is too thin and not very adhesive, which make it difficult to secure and stable grip. Lack load the barrel interferes with the stability of a weapon during shooting.) is still a common choice among novice shooters and veterans seeking cheap and durable weapon for shooting recreation and competition in the category "Rapid rimfire pistol" and "Target pistol". Most pieces are deeply modernized by the owners Design development of this gun is Margo pistol. A more concealable version of the pistol, Margo is available for a less formal target shooting and self-defense applications. The barrel is shortened to 98 mm and original sights are simplified in this version Revolver Alfa Proj M 3841 (38 special) Popular revolver used mostly by sports shooters and as a CCW. This model have 4 inch lengh barrel
  12. Chinese Norinco M305 is quite popular among shooters because of its low price (price for a new rifle is about 2200 zł, for comparison Glock 17 costs in the range 2650 zł), good performance, and giving the feeling of of having a real M 14 so its finding in Chernarus not it would be unusual (but in relatively low quantities, so it should be quite rare in the game) Personally, I would add more hunting weapons as Hunterized M44 (7,62X54R/7,62X51) This rifle is a "souvenir" of the socialist era and the 90s where often highly processed brand new weapon for the needs of hunters. Top guns like the one in the photo came from the workshop recognized the military who earned on surplus and fairly deep, upgrade weapons. For example, improving the fuse or replacing the drain system for the products recognized brands. Despite the passage of years, this weapon is still in possession of many hunters in the former Soviet Union and its former satellites in Eastern Europe CZ 557 (7,62X51) Rifles CZ (CZ 550 Lux or this one) are among the most popular rifles in Europe. Good quality reasonable price, ease of repair cause they are common choice among hunters who are looking for a good weapon in the "acceptable" price. TAF Shamshir 308 (Takistan Arms Factory, real life IOF 30-06 rifle) (7,62X51) This rifle appeared on the market at the beginning of the XXI century in the offer of ARMA dealing with import of weapons and hunting equipment to Chernarus where he won the title of relatively light and cheap rifle but requires amendments after purchase. It is a non-license copy of a rifle from the well known manufacturer of hunting weapons from Germany
