hi mate,thanks for your reply, i think you've just hit the nail on the head for me / . i remember now, i was in a hospital , and hence why i was stuck in the stairwell. . . im just thinking now, if you are correct abobut your character still being visible for 30seconds after d/c then its a very big possibility that someone may well have seen my body on the stairwell after id left , i was on a server with maybe 15-20 people on it

thanks for the comments guys. . . just to clear up, i just checked the server i joined is third person not hardcore, same kind of lobby/server i always join, so on that note im thinking , 1) is it possible to try jump server see if my guy comes back with all his gear??? or is my guy remembered by the server now and he will stay a fresh spawn? 2) he maybe died while in limbo, like you say maybe, fell through the building ??? or something alike to that . thanks anyways guys

Hi all, Had a strange even happen yesterday , i jumped into my server i was last on, and spawned inside the building i'd disconnected in, to find the stuck in the house bug.. so i jumped out that server and jumped into another to see if the same thing, which unfortunately i was stuck in the building ( or should i say the stairwell) and couldnt go anywhere as blocked by invisible walls, so then i jumped out of that server, and jumped into another server to try one last time, before i came on here and posted to see if anyone could help. . when i logged into the next server, my guy had been reset and started in the middle of a field as a fresh spawn. . . Now im a little bothered id lost my character id had for maybe 3-4days and built up my health, lots of food, id got all the equipment needed to go fishing and set up stove etc in the middle of nowhere, and i had an sks fully ammo'd up, Now , the question i ask, ive heard that things have been put in place to stop people server hopping in military bases etc, but is this the cause of server hopping, 3 different servers within 10minutes. . or could it be that certain servers just reset your character anyway ?? im just a little annoyed ive lost my guy and gear , after just starting to find my feet etc and learn the towns etc, as ive only been playing for 60hours or so ...

yeh i only went out there for a look around as i was new spawn, so had nothing to lose, seems the dayzdb map is not correct on many spawn locations, they may aswell just guess and say go look for yourself , instead of the whole world going off an article advising which locations to go

Hi all, im playing on stable.48 . i wasa new spawn on the coast near the island, so after finding lots of food, water, and a firemans axe, i thought im going to go have a look round skalisty island as ive never been on there, after searching every single building, and even the radar tower, i found absolutely NO LOOT on the whole island. . im on a server with 6 people, so no chance it has been pillaged fully.. then much to my amusement and annoyance, i was set upon by 3 Zeds, that were more than 300metres away and i was walking in tree lines, they made a b-line straight for me, and i did not get ONE hit on either of the zeds, yet i was being hit with every strike of theirs, thus me dieing from this situation. has anyone else had this on the island or is it just a one off and im the unfortunate one ??
