How is the M4 better? It takes the same cartridges, has a shorter barrel, is much longer even with the shorter barrel, more recoil, the only better thing about it is that it has more accessories... Throw a rail on the AUG and you've got the same thing, only more compact with full size ballistics, easier to clean, less recoil, no gas in the face, quicker barrel swaps... The only real disadvantage is you're screwed if you're a lefty lol. When it comes to dayz though, the only difference is how compact the weapons are and accessories available... that's about it tbh

Even if the values were to be changed, it's still a bad idea. If it was just some random throwaway idea that he blurted out, I can see why it's such a bad idea. I really hope they don't go that route. It'd be better if you can't log back into the same server for 10 minutes or maybe a logout noise once the character has disappeared off the server, so you know if you're about to get rolled up on... Or hell, maybe even both. Anything but the previously mentioned idea, my god that is a horrible idea. -

Because it has potential to adversely affect players that have nothing to do with the situation. If some jackoff 200m away decides he wants to shoot somebody, or even a zombie or animal, now I can't logout for 20-30 minutes? Even at closer ranges, there could be some guy not wanting any part of it, hiding and waiting for a chance to run. Not too uncommon when a group comes out of nowhere on a lone player. Now he can't log out for 30 minutes, even if he runs away? What if you have to leave suddenly IRL? Now because somebody shot a gun near you in game you're screwed. There are plenty of reasons that of all the suggestions for this problem I've seen, that one's the absolute silliest. -
So now instead of 2 or 3 zombies running through the just-shut door like an unblocked linebacker, there's gonna be 40. Fun times...

Well, you can't see the weapon, but you can see the shadow a bit. It looks long, I'm assuming it's a mosin. That being said, that guy was probably trying to bash zombies with a sledgehammer and you shot him in the legs. You were probably too close, so he died in about 10 seconds before you could patch him up, handcuff and rob him. -

The devs have said themselves that they want specific numbers of items across the public servers. Meaning you're going to need to server hop in the future, so get used to it. -
Try getting on your knees and hitting A and D repeatedly. If it's not A and D then try Q and E, it's something like that.

You could try not trapping and killing every player you see and actually interact with other players... Other than that, I don't think a logout noise would be a bad idea. -

Am I the only one who thinks crafting materials should be much more common? For example, I can be a fresh spawn and find a backpack and a gun with ammo, well before I find an axe to cut sticks, rope and burlap sack to make bag, and tree + more rope for bow and arrow... When crafting items are harder to obtain than regular items, crafting then becomes completely pointless... Also, I don't want to hear anything about how the whole game should be crafting and hunting animals, that's not what I'm saying. This is ZOMBIE SURVIVAL, not a Bear Grylls Simulator 2015. That would just ruin the game.

I did not say that, I said I don't want to hear about that kind of game because this is not that kind of game. I do, however, wish for there to be a better balance between lootable items and craftable items.

I'd like to know how you can barely make it from elektro to cherno from spawn without starving to death, but nobody cares about hydration and food? Howcome EVERY SINGLE PERSON I've killed has food and drink in their inventory? Do explain yourself. -

Yeah, they completely broke it. You get stuffed at a faster rate than you get energized. Without peaches, you're doomed to either steadily declining status or at best, you just maintain your status. I took one sip of water and was stuffed, I almost died from starvation because of it. Luckily I found some peaches and due to their potency in this game, was able to save myself once I was no longer stuffed. They literally COMPLETELY broke the mechanic this patch. -
Another thing to think about is if the new life thing is about realism, they missed the mark. It would add not only realism, but a whole other aspect to the game if the bodies stayed. I think looting dead bodies you come across is much more realistic than your body sinking into the ground after 5 minutes. In a real apocolyptic situation, looting dead bodies would be a much more integral part of survival than it is in this game. Instead, your body sinks into the ground...

But if it's a new life, why wouldn't you be able to loot any body you come across... previous character or not? It's a NEW LIFE, that's not your character and it's not your gear. I didn't miss the point, the point is a logical fallacy. The idea of a new life and what that means, completely contradicts the idea that you can't pick up your previous gear. I get what it's intended purpose is, it just simply doesn't make sense. Also, it gives group players an unfair advantage. Their buddies can just grab their stuff and hide it in a bush, go find them and pick them up. Boom, like nothing ever happened. But the person who takes all the time and effort to get supplies to make the trip and run all the way back gets screwed. My last argument is that this new life idea is clearly for realism purposes... How realistic is it that after 5 minutes your body just kind of sinks into the ground and disappears?

If you die and become "a new player, with a new life", then that's not YOUR gear. If you're another character, why wouldn't you be able to loot a dead body that you find? That doesn't make any sense. This idea of a new life simply isn't logical in this context and actually seems contradictory.

How would not being able to loot your body be realistic? If it is indeed, a new life, then you are a new person and your previous dead body is just another dead body for you to loot, just like any other. Also, if you die, loot for food and a bag real quick, run all the way back across the map and find your gear before someone else does without dying, then you deserve it back. Not being able to loot yourself is a horrible idea.

My justification is that the devs make different pieces of a single item spawn across multiple servers. The devs pretty much want you to server hop, by implementation of this horrid loot system. Not my fault, their fault. Ask them.
