Why is the field next to Balota being moved? Its so far out of the way I never see anyone out there...Isn't that what they want, people exploring more instead of east coast deathmatching?

Idk what you people are talking about only east coast or only svetlo/berezino spawn points being available...I just spawned abot 5 minutes out from gorka the other day, took me about 10 minutes to get to NWAF, sooooo idk.

I was just playing and I hit W and A at the same time and it seemed to not make a sound. Sure enough, after trying each direction combination, I found that you can move with no noise at all. I was wondering if anyone found this too or if you can still hear it through the other side, or really any relevant information.

ya but you hear that boot stepping noise, this made literaly zero noise. If you weren't watching, you would think I was standing still.

killed a zombie with one last night

I'm just looking for a moderately populated server that welcomes other players and doesn't always kill on sight...I know that last part is improbable and probably a lot to ask...My point is to just play the game and have some fun, if I die I die, it's not a big deal...But I'd like to have SOME interaction with others besides just random and sudden pvp...I've had literally ZERO interactions with people on this game, besides having to kill them or be killed by them. I've seen countless youtube videos of people have AWESOME adventures in this game and I want the same...I tired of running by myself for an hour and a half just to get popped by some bored noob sitting in a window for 4 hours playing with himself, praying somebody runs by..I can't even see how that's fun, but it's even less fun for me. I'm really just lookng for a welcoming server, with some people who are down to roll with me and have some awesome adventures...Don't neccessarily need a "safe zone" on the server, but just a bunch of friendly regulars who aren't jerks or are down to have some fun times. I'm on the east coast US, message me if you want to add me on steam or something, if you have similar interests, and post your server or your regularly visited servers that may match this description.

I've climbed many-a-ladder in this standalone thus far and I've yet to have any kind of glitch..I hear all this talk about a ladder glitch and was wondering how/why it happens, what triggers it and are they supposed to fix it in the next patch?

I've had the same experience in .48, I swam all the way out there to search EVERY building and only found zombies...They spawn zombies out there, but no loot... There was literally ZERO items on that island...On the DayZ SA map, it says there are multiple spawn points on the island, but there is no loot when you go there...Until they add some animals and farming/fishing, you're wasting your time going out there.

I'm a strictly defensive killer only, I'd much rather meet people and go on some awesome adventure and die a few hours in, rather than see somebody and be dead before I can even say "hey dude!". Just last night I was on a 40 man server almost full in svetlo and it was a "friendly" server. I heard about 10 explosions, countless gun shots and saw about 4 other people looting the city...I played VERY defensively, hiding behind fences and things just watching and stalking...Waiting for one to come close to get blasted by a shotty. However, not one of the many people (probably about 10 in total) in that city managed to find me, so I didn't have blast anyone. However, I wouldn't try to make friends with people throwing nades around and shooting everywhere,so it's an obvious hostile situation. I try to play as neutral as possible, but will kill if I have to. I like to give everyone a fair chance to play, because i know first hand how annoying the bad-kids are that kos cuz they don't know how to pvp.

Sooo, you're really bad and can only kill unarmed players is basically what you're saying...Good for you, I hope somebody force feeds you windex and throws your tablets in a pond after you've spent a week trying to gear up.

Well, that makes sense because I have my internet hardwired to a splitter so I don't use wifi...Maybe it's a connection thing...the only thing I've experienced is drinking a soda and the animation edging me off the roof...Which is hardly a glitch I would say.

This happened to me the other day...I glitched on a roof and died at NWAF. I respawned just under berezino and went back towards NWAF, but only made it to Gorka (about halfway)after a while of looting my game crashed..(which seems to happen at random every hour or two if I don't switch servers every now and then) and I respawned at factory SE...Needless to say I was pretty bummed...Took a trip to the SE island, which has no loot spawns yet, btw, but still has zombies ofc So don't bother going there......anyway, swam back to shore and head towards Elektro. I make it 10 feet into town and by this time it's about an hour later and my game goes down again...I relog to go loot Elektro and BOOM. Back in Gorka. I was so confused...But pumped at the same time because I had my SKS and axe back. So I went back to NWAF and looted to my hearts content, until I joined a 1 man server and got sniped by some nerd who was obviously just sitting there for hours waiting for someone to server hop NWAF...Since this happened, I just join a few diff servers if my character is gone and eventually I'll find one that works and I'll have my stuff back. Anywho, I have no idea why this happens, but I'm willing to bet the devs are working on it, since it seems to be about a year old problem.

I'm not sure where all the arguements about the zombies are coming from...The melee is glitchy and yeah, they need some work...But people saying they run faster than you? Not even close to true, I outrun zombies all the time so I can lock myself in a house or something...Then when they glitch thru the wall, most of time they only make it halfway thru and become easy targets, as they are stuck. I don't know about this respawn thing..True, more zombies come from nowhere sometimes when you kill others, but not many and they stop coming quickly. I've killed zombies in an area and not had to worry about them again on most occasions and most never even respawned. I'd just kill the few once, then I'm left to loot in peace. Also, when I go to towns that have already been looted, there are no zombies in sight...If they respawn so much, where are they? Also, it's true that zombies sometimes see you from far away and not in their facing direction, but you just chop it or run, not a big deal. If you run around a few houses in zigzag or run thru the woods, you lose them in no time. Finally, I've used all sorts of guns on zombies, including loud af shotguns and have not aggro'd any zombies that way. There's a few bugs that need fixing, but I don't know if I'm just lucky this whole time or ppl are just whining and exaggerating like crazy. They're buggy, but they've yet to cause me any problems unless I'm fresh..Because it takes like 5 minutes to kill them with fists.

Defend mediocrity? That's the most laughable thing I've ever heard... The guy was right, you are not. The game is not anywhere near finished, it's got probably another 2 years or more until it is. You are a tester, that is all. If you don't like it then too bad, you wasted your money. The "game" is not a game, it's essentially a core test, where 90% of the features have not been implemented and bugs have not been fixed. Then, slowly, from the ground up, they fix the bugs and add the features. This is what you paid for and you should have read the disclaimer, simple. Don't blame the devs or the game because you neglected to read/acknowledge the disclaimer. That's on you.

I've seen some similar posts, but not one specifically addressing this exact issue. A few times now I've had a bunch of gear and I'll join a server and it's gone...I'll exit and join a different server and it's back... I don't join 1stperson servers and I only join daytime servers (for now). Does anyone know what the cause of this is and if it's a difference in servers, what that difference is? Is this simply a bug? I would just like to know what servers to join that will keep my gear, since certain servers seem to spawn certain characters. Restarting after a death is one thing, restarting for absolutely no reason is quite discouraging.

That would be nice if not everyone had AKs and M4s and had more melee weapons, handguns and small caliber rifles. Also, the military areas are hotspots, so youkind of have to be lucky to not get killed there...So there is kind of a balance, but it's external balance by players, not balance in the game....However, I am pretty sure they're just testing spawn points, different loot and their effects on the servers and such...I'm sure the game will be MUCH different endgame or even in beta.

I'm just trying to find a moderately populated server with a group of regulars who aren't jerks...It seems like everyone on this game just wants to kos. My friends got me into this game and they don't really play much anymore and I just wanna find someone who wants to roll and have some of those crazy adventures you see people posting on youtube...Just go play the game and have fun. If we die, we die, but I'm looking to find at least one person who will at least communicate before trying to kill me lol..I've literally had ZERO interaction besides pvp in this game thus far and it's kind of discouraging, because those youtube adventures look pretty fun...Looting for an hour and getting sniped by some random with nothing better to do isn't.

NWAF, I found about 100 of them in the last week and probably 10 75rd drum mags too, as well as multiple AK101 mags and ammo for both. The 7.62x39 and mags are much more common than the AK101 mags and ammo though, I'd say about a ratio of 10 to 4-ish. I literally had about 500 rds of 7.62x39 the other day and kept about 2 or 3 30 rd mags and one drum mag, I had a sweet AKM too all pimped out. All from a few visits to NWAF, it was crazy. I've never seen so many mags and ammo, it was ridiculous.
