The only thing you should apologize for is pussying out and disconnecting. Not saying you shouldnt feel sorry or bad for blasting someone in the back of the head. Thats cool, Im on like day 10 with this toon and Ive only shot 1 person. And even though I know it was me or him its not the way I want to play the game (at this moment). Its the fact that you in effect ran and hide behind your mothers skirt (disconnecting), to avoid the consequences of your actions, is what is bullshit. Feel ashamed for that.

Seriously, quit using cans for food. Find a hatchet, knife, and matches. Then find a goat 3-meat, a boar 4-meat, a sheep 5-meat, a cow 8-meat. Hatchet any one of them, gut it, collect the meat. Walk into the woods and when your hatchet is in your tool-belt collect a pile of wood with it. Then click on your matches and make a fireplace. When done use you mouse wheel and light a fire in the fireplace. Use the mouse wheel again and select cook meat. Boom! Every piece of cooked meat gives you 800 blood back. So basically one cooked meat equals 4 cans of food.

Sooo, youre saying guns in this game are like penises, and we like to shoot them? . . . . . . Okay, I can agree with that. ;) *PEW* *PEW* *PEW*

<- Hatchetman- having difficulties transitioning to guns

My recommendation. Keep the hatchet until you find a silenced primary weapon. Its what I did. Having a hatchet vs a primary weapon when scavenging a heli crash site will make zero difference. Because if youre going to get killed there its either going to be from all the zombies that spawn around it. Or sniped from a distance before you even know someone was watching you. That is unless you want to start sniping noobies also, then just equip it to the tool-belt when you find a scoped weapon. -
Hey look double post, cause the forum post editing is fucked up.

1- Perma aggro: You know if you break LOS (line of sight) and they dont see or hear you again you lose aggro. So you can lose them and then hide. Note they will search the immediate area that they lost sight of you. So make sure you move away from the area, slowly and quietly, 2- There is no reason to do either of those except to make it easier. 3- Its called direct communication and as long as you have a mic you can use it. I think the range is about 50 feet. Or join a vent/teamspeak/mumble server. Zero reason for global chat. 4- Not a troll point, come on buddy you say its not a troll point and then the next sentence you toll because someone fucked you up. Get over it, they probably arnt fat, they most likely live in their moms basement and have never been laid....lol. This is a pseudo-simulator of a zombie like plague. How people act is up to them. Some people RP, some dont. Some just like to gear up and kill anyone, some like to play a survivalist. Some like to group, and some like to avoid everyone. How a person plays and or acts shouldnt be dictated by anyone but themselves and other players. 5- See point 1 But everything you just said, would like to see, does exactly that, dumbs it down. Keep playing the learning curve gets less steep the more experience you have in game playing. And remember its in ALPHA which means there are going to be some seriously fucked up things happening. Like the super sight aggro-range zombies seem to have if you walk in front of them. Ahm.

You're bad at trolling. Move along. LOL I agree with StonedKnight. And just because he disagreed doesnt make him a troll. And just so you know I dont play this mod for any of the reason you listed. As a matter of fact I'd say youre pretty wrong on your conclusions.

Personally, I'd like to see him get paid for it. (as long as he doesnt put in fucking beartraps) My understanding is Bohemia Interactive has given him a thumbs-up for what hes done. Not sure if that means the officially support it or not? Id like to see it as an official expansion when its done. Something like $19.99 would be fair in my opinion.

Yup beat me to it. See link above.

Fairwell, had enough of this

You could have spent 1/2 the time it took write up that troll post and just answered him instead. Zexis, one shot to the head is enough to finish you. Either by killing you outright or knocking you unconscious so they can finish you off. 2-4 shots to the body depending on the weapon. Actually now that I think about it, a headshot maybe an instant kill. Not sure, maybe some else can confirm. -
Make sure your keybind hasnt changed. Log out from that server completely and then back in. Thats helped me with losing cross-hairs and the peripheral vision grey dots.

Hello friends. Is DayZ worth it? (+ add. q's)
Zombie_chew_toy replied to Zexis's topic in New Player Discussion
First, no one cant tell you if youre going to like it or not. Thats personal taste. What I'd recommend is watching DayZ video on Youtube and they show better than a written review what this game is about. Second, this is in Alpha. Which means things will sometimes be "broken" on purpose. There are game mechanics that havent been implemented and there are some that may be removed. And there are lots of bugs and exploits to be squashed. This is not a trial version, just remember that. As far as I know there is no difference between the Steam and non-Steam version. I bought Arma2 and Arrowhead a long time ago and I still think it was worth the purchase price. -
who wants the spawn weapon back

And that is more or less why they removed guns from fresh spawns. -

I would have said "YES" at first. But since they added hatchets that are easy to find I think its increased survivability. No more noobs popping off attracting more zombies than they have clips and other players to boot. As a matter of fact I kept my hatchet until I found a silenced primary weapon. Of course I dont play this as a PvP game. Or should I say as a PK game? So my answer is a big "No, they shouldnt". -
I can confirm a spawn at the northwest airfield. 043,045 Basically on the little strip in the NE corner of those cords.
