Devil's Toast

Maybe you have already seen my other posts about how I never met anyone in DayZ and it's so boring! ( not saying it has gotten better HOWEVER READ ALONG ) I somehow died in Berezino, and respawned near the sea, I thought '' I know where this place is! It's near the boat! ( Shipwreck ) So I started walking along the sea line, found the boat and thought '' I never went past the boat! '' I started walking and found a town right after, not too sure about it, by my guessing I think it was Elektro, ( new player here ) ANYWAY I was just walking along, and at some point I hear a voice, I thought '' NO, IT CAN'T BE, ANOTHER FELLOW GAMER?!?! BUT I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE ON DAYZ'' He was gearless, pantsless, we both said hi, what's up, the usual, then I said '' Any other players here? '' He replied '' yes, they are all dead in my apartment '' and run away I was left with a '' WTF '' face, run behind him, saying '' HELLO? WHERE YOU GOING? '' I lost him I thought to myself '' I've seen that video on youtube where the guy said if you go to Elektro, take your pants off'' Took them off I thought '' there must be more players here, I won't give up till I find them '' Heard gunshots, got instantly happy since that means there are more people here Walked a bit more, still nothing TILL A SEXY GEARED UP, BUT PANTSLESS PLAYER RUNS UP TO ME I immediately said '' FRIENDLY, FRIENDLY, HELLO? '' We spoke, he was nice to me He then crouched in a corner I said '' any other players here? '' yes he said I said '' bad ones? '' yes he said '' Why don't we all just team up and be one big powerful group '' Nah he said ''Can I be your sidekick then? '' Nah he said He then asked '' Do you want some food? '' yes please I said *Gave me 100% Tuna and half spaghetti can I asked '' What;s your game name? '' Why do you need it? he asked ''To know who to thank '' which I replied '' Black '' he said '' Thank you Black, you're a really nice person '' He thanked me back '' HEY BITCH '' some random name popped up in the chat ''Hello?'' I replied He then replied with some nonsence ''English? '' I said? ''Yes'' he said *BBBBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMM * '' YOU ARE DEAD '' Black: WOOOOOOW ME: OH FFS Silence right after Then Black: PUT YOUR HANDS UP BOY Me just casually listening Heard black repeat the same thing, then I pressed respawn. Thank you ladies and gents, hope you enjoyed my little story/experience Hope I didn't bore you too much, but hey, I'm happy that at last I found other people on the game! P.S. How comes, when you see videos on youtube, from youtube gamers, when they play DayZ they encounter people multiple times, they make friends and enemies etc, however I've seen many topics on these forums and other forums, that people can't find anyone while they are playing the game! Same goes with me! I must of seen about 1 player so far from far away and then he just disappeared! Am I doing something wrong? Am I choosing the wrong servers? Or maybe it's because I've gone into the DayZ properties and changed it to '' Experimental '' option. Is that it? Someone please explain! Thank you in advance!

Ah, sorry, you are right! I searched it and yes that is the town, Svetlo!

I must of walked around for an hour in Berezino talking to my mic by myself, and yet, nothing! And also the servers I join are 30+/40 people And every now and then I log in and do the same thing since today I don't feel like playing DayZ Maybe it's just my luck :/

Thanks, I'll take your advice, will do that next time I log on :) Had enough of it for the day, just going to hang around on the forums for a while :P

I just spend a LOT of time walking and I successfully found Berezino, spend half to one hour there, changed servers a couple of times, joined a 39/40 server, run around talking on my mic, NOTHING. If only DayZ had more '' multiplayer '' in it, I would highly rated it. It's so boring playing games alone :/

Well I understand people saying '' Go to popular towns '' etc etc And I've been reading a lot about Elektro lately, however getting spawned WAAAAAYYYYY FAR from Elektro, I find it hard going in the right direction. Yes I do use the map but still. Anyone have any tips on how I can find my way to PVP areas ( popular towns ) ?

I'm sorry if there are loads of topics like this one however this just happen to me now, and if someone can explain to me why it happen, because I'm curious. Thanks I spend most of the day on the same character, looting, finding items and shotguns, that would make anyone excited. No zombies in my way, nor any other gamer. It was just me and the world. I was in a town for a while and I got bored, I thought I'll travel west, since I read somewhere that west is where most people go. I got my compass out and walked quite a distance. Found a nice big town, no idea what's it called. Went into one of the first buildings. When up the stairs. Nothing special, however I saw a bed, and I saw a video on youtube and he said to check under beds you find good weapons etc. So I went next to the bed, fell down prone, I was facing the door, so no one came in, I saw something shiny under the bed, trying to see what it is, then everything went black, a sentence popped up saying ''You are dead'' , no unconscious no nothing. Also with red letters it said something like '' Your leg feels painful '' in the bottom left corner. I thought it might be a glitch, quickly logged out, then in again, I was respawning. Back to the beginning again. Really disappointed since my character looked as sexy as! And I didn't die from a gunfight or anything so I just felt disappointment 2x. Oh also a bit before that it kept telling me I was hungry, maybe that played a role, but my screen didn't go grey or anything. That's about it. Hope someone can explain to me, since I am very new at the game. Thanks :)

Someone already logged it Oh well, as you said eventually they will fix it! One day it's going to be a great game, and hopefully everyone that played the Alpha with some patience will be rewarded!

Yeah, I have come to a conclusion that it is a bug after researching it. Oh well, it's the Alpha I guess :/

But the best loot I got so far, is from upstairs! Oh the horror :/

I am fully aware that I paid for the Alpha, no complaints about that. However having a sexy char and dying for reason just makes you want to quit! And of course 10 minutes later I am on again :P However the finding no other players is a real negative for me. Anyways thanks for the advice :)
