Hey players, and hey devs. I have a question for 4k players. Is there any way to get the UI to scale to 4k resolution? I sit about 2 meters from a 55" 4k t.v. as my main screen for gaming. Back in the previous builds of the game I could switch the scale of the UI. I can no longer do this. My problem is that I can't read any text on the screen reliably. I can't see my zeroing distance no matter what, the text is too tiny. I am stuck playing at 1080p. Any help?

TIL that DayZ runs much smoother on Windows 10.

Hey just out of curiosity, what is your mouse issue? Now that I think of it, mine has been disconnecting and reconnecting intermittently, seemingly after switching over to 10. -
Anyone else have a huge problem with combat?

If you lose all your firefights, it is more than just desync that is your problem. Desync IS a problem, but it is equal in screwing us over. You should be winning firefights with or without that issue. You may very well be horrible at first person shooters. -
I can only speak for the north-west of the map but loot is respawning properly there on the servers I have been in. I'm finding cans of food, bags of rice... Drinks are actually the hardest thing for me to find right now. Loot explosions seem to be fewer and further between. Last night I had one CTD in 3 hours time, and it was within 15 minutes of my starting to play.

I don't see why that is so essential when the server crashes are basically doing the same thing.
-
I came across a server the other night that had so much loot my client would crash after being near a large pile of it for too long.
-
I see you can open those loot explosion buildings now. The ones in industrial and military areas. My character seems to be getting hungry slower than usual too. Good thing, because searching for an apple takes about 30 seconds now.

What is up with the lag? Where did the progress go over the last couple of months? What the hell?
-
I've noticed this works every time for me: Walk away some distance, at least 10 meters, but not more than 50 meters, come back, and you can interact and pick up the item.

Someone was probably shuffling loot from the porch of those buildings that don't open and are found in industrial areas and military bases. Lots of vests and boots spawn there.

I'm going to hop on both stable and experimental in Elecktro and monitor fps, see what difference there is.

AKM with PSO-1.

Or has performance in cities in experimental increased? I'll do some testing later, but I am almost certain my performance in Cherno and Elecktro was seeing around a 30% boost in frames. For the first time ever, I don't think I dipped below 20fps while running through Elecktro, on an fx-6300. Anyone else notice this? I'd chalk it up to a lack of zombies, but I play experimental often so this isn't the first time I have been playing without infected.

Hunting Scope Replacing The Long Range Scope?

In my opinion the entirety of the map has been made with nerfing sniping in mind. -
The flashes are too long in the third pic, but seem fine in the second pick with the chick firing.

I stole mine.

Sounds like the server crashed, and you unfortunately lost your character by joining the server as it was restarting (known bug). This might have happened again in the second server. The way I figure out if the server has crashed is by right-clicking an item in my inventory. If it gets stuck saying it is receiving for more than a few seconds the server has crashed. It can be annoying... As for losing your character, learn to avoid joining a server right as it is restarting. I think it will say 08:00hrs during this time.

I found the slugs, but they don't go in the pistol grip or the pump shotgun.

I'd like that in my medieval zombie apocalypse, but not so much in my modern zombie apocalypse. Would be great though to only have access to 15th century weaponry, but that isn't this game.
-
You have so much insight I think you must be a dev or talking out of another hole.
-
Actually I think it was a bug I was seeing. Also noticed zombies were only in one experimental server last night. Didn't see any animals to hunt. Tried going fishing but couldn't get all the necessary items.

You have disparaged me in the past because I love the PvP in this game. You didn't take the time to do anything other than jump on your high horse and tell me to go play a different game. If anyone needs to lurk more I think its you.

This happened to me. I got sick from drinking bad water. Took antibiotics. Sickness cleared. The thirst from the sickness remained, draining my hydration extremely fast. I eventually had to suicide and scramble back to my corpse to continue on my journey. Definitely a bug in my case.

It is more about them catching you slipping now. Before it was either outrun them, or kill them on the spot. Now you can go around looting with them still coming at you, you just have to be careful not to get yourself in a corner, or you will be tore up. Really, I like slow shambling groups of zombies more. They just need to add a few quicker ones to the mix, so that the quicker ones can buy time for the slow ones to overwhelm you.

What is an ego-shooter? Antibiotics work, take them when you get sick. Engine not made for PvP? Isn't this the Arma 2 engine? What do you do in Arma? I don't know about anyone else, but when I get fully-geared, I go looking for other fully-geared players to interact with. All I can tell you is I have a hell of a lot of fun playing this game, even when features are broken. People try to tell me that if I want to PvP I am playing the wrong game. They tell me to go play CoD, BF, or Arma. Well, I played all those games, and it isn't the same. I like the PvP in DayZ more than any of those other FPS games. I have more to lose in this game, and it makes death, and kills, far more satisfying than anything else I have ever played. As far as zombies go, the recent 666 exp was BY FAR the best implementation of zombies so far in this game, in my opinion. I really enjoyed it. It felt like Night of the Living Dead. I also run around crafting, hunting, cooking meats, making leather clothes, I enjoy ALL of that. All that though, that is just filler for the real meat and potatoes in this game; PvP. At least to me. You are going to have to deal with that. I'm not going anywhere, and theres no way that the PvP is going to get worse, it'll only get better. I'm not going anywhere, and neither are the people who think like I do.
