It doesn't happens with the backspace anymore, only the keys that display a graphic box in the corner to notify me that the caps is on / off you know.. So that is where the problem is. I have managed to change the talk key to the back button on my mouse, so I'm fine for now.. But I still want to solve this problem anyways. :-) What do you mean by model? I think its caused by the graphic thiny when you for example turn up/down volume. It displays a little box in the corner. But it's weird that it happens when I press backspace as well, since there is no graphic notification when you press it..

Dear community of DayZ Standalone, Today I bought a keyboard and a monitor. I hooked it up to my laptop, but when I press CAPS LOCK and Backspace to speak / chat, the game minimizes. I have never had this problem before! And I have been on Google and reading like crazy - but can't find any answers to my issue. Does anyone know how to fix this? It happens if i plug out the screen, and just try to play on my laptop only.. I have no idea how this could have happened. NOTE: At first it only happened while pressing / holding CAPS, but then a bit later it happened when I pressed backspace as well. I would be extremely happy if someone could come with possible solutions! I really need help here. Thank you so much in advance! :) :beans:

sabre05; I am dealing with it, and I'm also aware of the game's current state. But I posted this to figure out if there was anything I was doing wrong, or if anyone has experienced the same issue - or just me. Both times I was on the top of buildings, where you must go up ladders to get to, so no zombies can have killed me. Neither players, I always stare at the landscape and make sure I am completely safe before logging out. But I'm pretty sure it's because I went into first person mode-servers. This has happened sometimes. Thank you very much for posting the solution DJ SGTHornet! Yeah, it really sucked losing all that gear. I had hunter summer pants, weapons with tons of ammo - everything. So this was very sad! But now I know and will be more careful in the future! Sincerely, Mariusgt

Just now I lost all of my items, and we're freshly respawned - this happened for some hours ago too. I had Mosin, almost full military gear, mountain backpack and much more items! Many guns and ammo that took me ages to get! And when I log into ANY server, all my items are gone, I'm in a new place and have NOTHING. I know the game is Alpha, and I know things like this can happen. I'm not bitching, I'm simply sharing my story to feel better. Has this happened to anyone else?

I finally was able to get into the menu, but then I changed the game quality, and now it has frozen on the DayZ logo with a red loading bar underneath it. It comes up again even if I try to close/open the game.. Why is there so many problems with me?

Thanks for answering my thread. I got directed to your Guide (http://imgur.com/a/nPJ7Y). But I don't get that menu up at all, after the DayZ logo vanishes, the screen is just black, with the spinning mouse circle.. I used the second method on the top of the page, and was able to change the resolution to (1920 x 1080p). But still, just a black screen..

I have tried re-installing the game, restart my laptop, updated Abobe Flash Player - and still I have the same problem! Please help me! :(

Hello everyone, Me and my friend just downloaded DayZ, he opened it up with absolutely no problems. But it was not that easy for me.. When I open the game, everything is zoomed in on the logo (white letters with some colors) and after that the DayZ logo comes, and then the whole screen gets black. I have been waiting, restarting and now trying to re-install. But whats weird, is that when I try to take a screenshot from my computer, I get a picture of my desktop zoomed in. This is very weird.. Anyone knows what the problem could be? I am currently re-installing it. But what if that doesn't work either? - Thank you very much
