If you have an issue with a server you paid money to Vilayer for, the best option would probably to send a support request to Vilayer.

Servers mysteriously and without any explanation or communication back up, and all appear wiped for persistence for no reason whatsoever. Thanks a lot Gameservers for keeping us updated and letting us know what was up, as well as for at least not deleting all of our gear, lol.

There is currently a method to ban hackers and glitchers on public hives. Our community requires hard evidence before any negative action on a player occurs, but we have been able to nail some so far with video evidence. Pain in the ass way to ban, but it is there. The Public Hive rules state that you can't ban/kick without a valid reason, then go on to contradict themselves and say it is restricted. Well, it is restricted, it is a pain in the ass to do, but the option is there.

Reports are UK and AUS servers by Gameservers are gone too. Would be nice to know why, I am crying on the inside.

Monday has come and gone with no official word on what is going on, so I guess we get to guess. My vote is Gameservers doesn't love me and took them away to upset me. They hate me personally.

Um, whats the water bottle for? Wells and ponds and apples are abundant, don't need a water bottle. If you can not find a water source, try www.izurvive.com or www.dayzdb.com for maps.

Various members of our community had stuff on these servers and played there a lot. We noticed it as well. All GA (Georgia, IL (Illinois) and quite a few other entire server blocks are gone.

They spawn on dead bodies. Get a magnum, get some ammo, go create some dead bodies and loot them.

Are you playing Standalone DayZ? I got a pile of those knives, easy to find. They spawn on dead bodies and all sorts of military types of buildings.

I've only tried/seen pink and neon green and they worked as per the color chart just fine. Love that deep neon green looking one.

I used to spend a lot of time reporting admin abusers, even included video evidence. They didn't seem to care, so I stopped bothering. If they won't even enforce the server name rules, why would they spend time looking at video evidence to enforce their own rules.

The ops entire post could have been said in three sentences instead of that run on stuff that gave me a headache. i shall sum it up for future readers of the thread. "I joined a server, got in a truck, got kicked and had a friend with me, please help us."

And you can craft an improvised knife for free too.

We assumed it was everyone, but we are realizing it might be just us and our server. Anytime we have gear stored, and get up to about a barrel and a backpack full worth, the game becomes unplayable. Any action or gear move you make will take at least 2-3 complete minutes to happen. If you relog you get about 30 seconds of play time before the same situation repeats itself. We thought it was just a .58 bug, but now we realize after a raid on another larger stash that it may be just us. Is anyone else experiencing this type of issue or should we just put a support request in? Only reason I ask is that we would have to move all our stashes from our large community or lose them as it would be typical if we put in a support ticket they would simply wipe the server and then say "try now" and we really don't want that.

That M4 must have came from a server that said "High Loot Enabled," it is the clear and only real choice. I can not believe how long this thread is, perhaps next week we can spend two pages teaching the people who just don't get it about the birds and the bees.

No problem. Playing with a strong group means you learn things faster, as each of you pick up new things after each new change rolls out. I am typically amazed at some of the little things new players in our community just hadn't figured out yet.

I run a pretty toned down PC that I would put up against a fresh install on the same hardware anytime. It sounds like GrimeyRick does as well. Keeping a machine clean and free of internet debris is essential to performance. I've been hesitant to consider the 10 upgrade, but after listening to Rick, I will be trying it, sounds good. If I, and everyone in our community, am to be believed, it appears that anytime you log into a public hive server, your character is not preserved. That is presuming you can get into a server, they are acting pretty flaky when you try to log in at all. Is there any notices or something I missed. I guess I am just wondering how long it will go one before some sort of announcement or mention of it. Or perhaps I am going crazy. Honestly I am surprised no one asked what is up sooner here.

SMOSS, Thanks for the reply, and thanks for mentioning fail-safes are being worked on, as well as counter measures. It would also be nice if there was an "official" means of communicating news and announcements, such as these "official" forums. Reddit posts, tweets from a few Dev's are nice and fun, but for official notifications there should really only be one place we have to go to for news and information. A simple, "hey, theres an issue with the central hive, probably DDOS related, we do not suggest you play until we announce a fix and there is stability" would have been nice instead of having to refresh Eugen's (Thanks for the updates) Twitter account.

I typically dress as a rodeo clown in all red, white and blue, or go with a tan tactical outfit and plate carrier for the military contractor look. I had to give up on the plate carrier though as the tan boonie hat seems to be missing from my life. Without the proper accessories my outfits just don't feel right.

You can search all over the map, or not. Once you figure out a deer stand that has one in it, you can return to that particular deer stand and server hop to find one, it should be on all the rest if not hit already. For example, their are two deer stands next to each other south and west of Zelenogorsk. The easternmost one will always spawn a Pristine PU scope, and the westernmost will always spawn a damaged PU Scope. The Deer Stand North and West of Kamiwobo always spawns a hunting scope.

Starting to wonder if it is down to provider related issues still. Ours, where I typically play is Fragnet, and we have nothing but issues. Started looking at playing on non FragNet and seems to be perfectly fine with character loads and inventory interacting.

I am sure they are working on it, but it sure would be nice if they would just let us know instead of saying it is working fine.
