Dont know what you guys are talking about losing stuff. I tried to log in while the servers were supposed to be down and got hung up at waiting for character to create. Hours later logged back in just fine with all my gear. All I can tell you is dont get attached to your gear. It will come and go quickly. You will do something dumb or a hacker will kill you. Its inevitable. I cannot count how many times I died with really good gear only to find much much much better stuff as a result of my death. DayZ is a roller coaster, sometimes your at the top of the hill and sometimes your at the bottom. In the end thats what keeps us coming back for more.

Last night me and 3 others were coming from the north in 2 white offroad trucks. We rounded around Kamenka and started to drive along the coast. We all stumbled upon a MASSIVE helicopter about to take off. WE all about shit ourselves but we knew that this wasn't the huey and it was hacked in. We all got out near it and unleashed the mother fucking fury. (We had military hardware) It tried to take off but we damaged it way too much. He was trying to make passes at us and shoot us with the chopper but he couldn't hit our fast cars. We got out again and continued to introduce this hacking bastard to METAL PER SECOND. The chopper starts to smoke and goes down in a nearby field. I drove up to where it was crashed and there was a man standing right on the wreckage as if he was imprisoned there. I started to run him over and I heard his bones break but he dced. Going back to the site where it took off there were about 4 ammo crates that are openable. There was nothing in them obviously. I know this guy was hacking well bc of the Nighthawk or w/e that chopper was but it wasn't in dayz. The ammo crates are also a dead giveaway. Hours after this he must have been mad bc a few people went around Cherno hacking in ammo boxes and killing people from under the map. There were literally ammo boxes all over the place. He must have been really mad that legit players fucked him up. Please look into this matter on US 38 Texas. Ban these hacking bastards. In the meantime all you hackers can come find us on US 38 Texas if you ever need a lesson on how to play this game legit. Thank you.

Are people really getting mad because people are spending their time searching the map for vehicles instead of running into Cherno and Ele? You wont find vehicles if you just run into Cherno and just start to die. Of course we are gonna hoard them. We found em, we fixed them, or we stole them. I suggest you spend more time in game searching for them instead of on the forums complaining how the spawn rates are too low.

OK guys I have been reading your posts all day long in total fear of what awaits me when i log back in. Log back in I am where i should be and I have all my gear. Low on food and water i decide to raid the nearby longbarn (Next to the North Dam). I crouch run all the way up the hill and as soon as I get to the top by the barn I crest the hill and a Zombie arrgos me who was near the barn. I took him out no problem as the others came around and a few inside. I thought that it was a little far but it was ok for me as I was crouching on pavement, and had high vis. I decided to test the boundaries for the new zombies. Coming up on a barn kinda in the woods a bit I crouch walked up to it in the higher grass still with 3-4 vis at some points even higher. As I would expect with such a high visibility rating I was seen by a zombie on the far side of the barn. I ran him into the barn and he didnt glitch through a wall he just kinda stopped in the doorway as if he had no clue where I was. Downed him and continued to a nearby deerstand. Picture a treeline with an open field and a clump of trees across that field that holds the deerstand. There are 3 roaming out in the field. With all your posts still ringing in my head I thought to myself "here goes nothing" and I began to prone across the field to the deerstand. I had 1 vis most of the time and other times I had 0. I attribute this to me being in a grassy field instead of the streets of Cherno. Even with the zombies coming somewhat close I was still able to prone past them up to the deerstand no problem. Some of them even were looking right at me and traveling towards me. Moving to my last destination... I came up on another barn near a treeline. I notcied a hopper coming right at me while i was still in the woods. I went prone right away. Still traveling at me I decided to test the aggro. I went to crouch, about 2 vis. Nothing yet and he is still traveling right at me( Iam not good with distanced I would say 40-60ft away). So stand up. As expected my vis skyrockets to 4-5 and he keys right onto me. I was not able to confirm any LOS problems as I was able to lose a zombie through the woods in some trees if I wasnt sprinting. It seemed like I would lose him in a clump of trees, but he would track me down again when he was trying to detect me bc I had such high vis and high noise. (As one would expect full on sprinting through the woods with no cover to speak of) I think what has happened here is minor tweaks to visibility and noise and also some increases on the zombie side. In my opinion people are used to having a certain amount of visibility and noise in certain situations and are having a hard time adjusting to the newer ways. I would suggest really paying attention to how much noise you are making and how visible you are bc I feel thats where some changes occurred that he may not have let us know about. I had very little problem adjusting, just all I can say is now you really really have to pay attention to your visibility. It spikes all over the place with the terrain. You cant expect to get 2 vis crouch walking along a paved road out in the open in Cherno. Other than that I have noticed some performance increases and increases in server stability.

I have answered this question once before but here it goes. To pick up the hatchet you must drop your primary by putting it on the ground or in your pack.( I haven't tested it ) Now you have it in your hands and you can attack/gather wood with it. To gather wood with it have it in your hands and walk into the woods up to a tree. While looking at a tree open your gear menu and right click. There will be 2 options "Drop Hatchet" and "Harvest Wood". Click "Harvest Wood" to put a woodpile in your inventory. To drop the hatchet, open your gear menu and right click on the hatchet. Click "Drop Hatchet" and you will drop your hatchet on your ground and you are free to pick up your primary again. I dont know how many slots it will take up in your pack or if you can even put it in your pack, I have not tested that. Hope this helps

Sorry if this has been answered but you can still collect wood with the new hatchet. You have to equip the hatchet as your primary off the ground droping your previous primary. With the hatchet in hand go into a wooded area( I had some issues with it telling me to go into woods, so I just found a denser area) walk up to a tree and open your gear menu. Right click your hatchet that is now your primary and you have 2 options "Drop Hatchet" and "Harvest Wood". Click harvest wood and you will have a woodpile added to your inventory. Right click to drop the hatchet and then pick up your primary where ever you droped it. You may be able to just move your primary into your backpack but i didnt have the room so I couldn't test that. Thankfully i figured this out as my 4-5 day character was staving in the woods with a bunch of raw meat and no wood. I like where he is going with this bc now its kind of a whole big thing to chop some wood to make a fire, as one would expect in real life. I didn't experience server crash when i dropped the hatchet but I can confirm it drops like 59 hatchet ammo and crowbar ammo whenever you put it down.

Alot of servers dont have their version updated but it says that they do in the description. Please update your servers properly. Thanks

I can confirm this bug on US 28 Chicago 22 and many other servers. No matter what when I log in I have 10800.8 blood even after eating to full blood.

Ive had some issues where I will log onto a server and Ill have 10800.8 blood everytime. Even though I had 12k blood on a previous server. NO matter how much food I eat to get back to 12k if i log back onto a server I will have 10.800.8 blood. Maybe our problems are related?

I dont know if anyone has had this happen to them yet but me and my 2 friends rolled up on the deerstand just south of Devils Castle. When my friend looted it, the loot instantly respawned and continued to do so for about 30 mins. It spawned everything from DMRs to pretty much every kind of ammo(normal behavior). My friends farmed this for about an hour until they were satisfied with their gear and ammo situation. This was just after the update on a server restart. The zombie spawns weren't crazy like everyone reports it just seemed like the loot spawn was bugged and instantly respawning loot as you picked it up. Sometimes just picking up 1 item make it respawn. Other friends have reported the same kind of thing in Devils Castle. I hope this information helps you in tracking down the problem. Ty for the quick and fast updates and fixes. 99.9% of the people that play games aren't game developers so they have no clue or concept on how hard it is to make stuff work and the bug that can seemingly come out of nowhere. We all appreciate your hard work and dedication. Even if some of us choose to show it in no so respectful ways. Keep up the good work and for fuck sake get some sleep.

So we came across a huge ass bandit camp with a motor pool and completely wiped it clean. How dumb can you be it was wide in the open. Now after we have raided these unskilled bandits the server has been offline. Not even launched at all. I know you guys are mad we stole you stuff but dont hide it in obvious places if you dont want people to find it. IE dont make a HUUUUGE tent circle with barbwire and sandbags and expect someone not to find it. Such a bitch move to completely take down the server bc you guys weren't smart about your spoils and they were taken from under your noses. The other server has been up and fine, that is US 27 Chicago 21. That server has been up and been fine. (probs bc we didn't steal all their stuff on that one). This again is a bitch move by the FOG (Fraternity of Gamers). They host the server in question. This is supposed to be a hardcore game and if you cant deal with someone taking something from you then just stop playing. Bc its gonna happen again. Especially when you guys aren't smart about hiding your stuff. Put the server back up or dont. I dont really care. All i want is the DAYZ community to know that you guys are a bunch of pussies. But when you have admin rights you can just cry and take down the server. You probs have the server in private trying to find where we hid all your shit. Well I hope you guys spawn helicopters bc that is the only way your going to get your stuff back. Long story short your all bitches. Get bandited hoes.

You guys went in admin. And took everything back. I understand. Some people just shouldn't have admin rights. They come with a certain responsibility that most people in this world just do not have. I see that your getting mad and taking the server down. Now iam certain of what you guys did. Actions so brash as to completely take down the server cries out to me as admittance of your guilt. (I know children s games I have 2 of my own) Why take the server down? LOL.... Im pretty sure you still have to be paying for 2 dayz servers. Your servers were clean and fast thats why I liked playing on them. Not fun when the admin kills everyone on the server( yes there was a time when everyone on the server was killed by elevating them by 30 meters and then falling), and then takes the server down to find out where their lost gear is. Man up and go scavenge more stuff. I liked your servers too bad it was too much responsibly to play the game straight up. SAd to see ya go

YAAAA the only thing about that is..... I play on that server alot and it was down for a LOOONNNGGGGG time. All night pretty much and US 27 was running while 28 was down...... I dont believe you at all actually You guys are abusing your admin rights. I just want everyone to know who plays on your server what to expect. The server JUST came up like 20 mins ago. Noone was on the entire night. You abuse your admin rights. Plain and simple Noone was on.... bc it wasn't up.

Can you give me a total time of server downtime then? What time it went down and when it came back up
