Is this a problem or a feature? Either way would make sense. Too bad no one with some authority over the situation hasn't announced anything. Should i try to play as it is, or wait for a hotfix? I already learned to enjoy 1.7.1 patch, but now you take away my beans :(

A ship. What do you take with you on a ship? You know why ship? Because you don't spawn in the wilderness as you stated. You begin your trip without nothing after a ship wreck or being tossed off it. The ship. How many people carry guns on a cruise? When they go fishing? It's not the zombie lore you should be wondering about. The shipwrecked survivor is not the one who has been there from the start. I extremely enjoy spawning with nothing. Hugging, almost swimming along side the coast line to avoid zombies, getting to the city (Cherno or Elektro), staking out it from the hill, checking zombie patterns and then making my move in to the dangerous, red alert zone. The thing about the sound and sight i agree with. I can crouch run 10 feet behind a zombie while being chased and not alert it. Also soft flesh decays faster, so eyes would be the first thing to go.

I like how 15 threads a minute are created discussing exact same topic when there should only be two. I like 1.7.1. I hate 1.7.1.

I'm not sure if i want it rolled back just for that reason. It's hilarious.

It is possible to play, but you have to adapt player avoidance strategy to zombies. You have to Splinter Cell around zeds from now on. There are good things however. I went back to playing around, checking mechanics out and here's what i noticed. You can fool zombies now. (sometimes) I started running around like a headless chicken in coast villages, attracted a horde of 15 zombies, zigzagged in and out of 3 lootable buildings-shacks-warehouses and the horde reduced to a single zed. They got lost in the buildings and the hiding cooldown kicked in. Another thing is that high end guns are easy to find now. I looted a single firestation in elektro. In the firestation i found AKM, M16 and M1014 as well as 1911 and PM Makarov - all in a single firestation. This patch hit hard and still needs some tweaking, but if you treat zeds like players, you will live.

Me and some friends were playing on a server belonging to some clan. 5-6 people of that clan were online. Suddenly admin announces a server restart. After the server restart it is a pitch-black night. Playing on a European server at 5PM GMT+3. What happened? NVG.

Really? The whole idea that me and other people can be out of synch in time is completely new to me. That explains a lot. How is that a thing?

Yeah. Sadly in my Country we are not suddenly befallen by darkness at 5PM. Server was UK originated, so it was 2PM server time.

I did not come back in 15hours, the time it took for server to restart and me and my friends get back in was 7mins at max. An admin finds NVG, time for a spontaneous server time change! The point is only people with NVG play night servers. And if you play on em without NVG, you suddenly fall in to the prey category.
