Do you prefer fast zombies or slower zombies?

I feel a load of slow zombies, hordes of them, sprinkled with fast zombies to keep you on your toes would be exciting. That seems manageable and challenging at the same time. This, of course, could only come once servers can handle it. Hopefully that's possible. EDIT: Just read the mod thing, and that actually makes sense. I always wondered why the zombies didn't bite, thus infecting you in a single attack. They're just mindless shells of former humans, not truly dead. -
This made me laugh. Thank you. The social aspect of the game always spells the doom of my characters. I always have to give people a chance, or help them out..... That sometimes ends in death.

The Longhorn is great. I use it as a fill in for a scoped Mosin. This way I can carry my SKS and have the Longhorn for ranged shots. I've put down 2 players at range so far, takes a few hits though.

I agree with this. Especially the gunshot scare. I just killed a cow in Berenzino. After the animal dropped and the gunshot echoed, the other cows just wandered around like nothing happened.

I no longer use the hotkeys, just quickly open your inventory and drag said item into your hands. Much faster, and definitely more reliable.

I need some popcorn to eat with all the saltiness..... Seriously though, I feel they're just going to add all the major features here, during alpha. Beta and on they'll iron out as many bugs as possible. Try to focus on player interactions, or make goals for single play sessions. Long term survival is reasonably difficult with some of the bugs, so make the best out of it if you still want to play.

Yeah, the zombie are too buggy to implement this now. But this would be great. As long as barns and the occasional houses held what fresh spawns needed, a heavy zombie population near cities would work well.

This post made me happy. I cannot wait to try this gun out. I'm all for using the hunting rifles over military assault rifles, so this will be a great addition. -
Work: sustained physical or mental effort to overcome obstacles and achieve an objective or result. If we all want to be word police then there you go, add to the discussion for Pete's sake.... On topic, I haven't been hit by the reset bug recently. It seems almost to be random. We've found sticking to one or two servers lowers the amount of resets we've had. My advice until a fix is to find a home server or two, ones you can switch back and forth to incase of a reset anyways. It's working, mostly, for our group of 8.

In an attempt to introduce both my friends to DayZ, they both attempted to kill me with splitting axes for my loot and I ended it all with a mosin shot to a gas pump, killing me and one of my friends. The other died from a secondary explosion while trying to loot my body. I think I introduced them pretty well.

Hmmmm, just recently dropped a fully geared player at NW with a sawed off from 5 meters. Everything on him was ruined, but he was totally and completely dead. I think the shotguns are great.

^ Great! Now that I know this happened for multiple people, this could very well be a work around.

It seems like this happens most frequently after a server restart. A player looses connection due to a server restart. He then rejoins the server, only to find he's a fresh spawn. Another forum poster says if you join a different server before jumping back to the restarted one, your character will not be reset. I haven't tested this yet, but probably will soon.

Yeah, just happened to our whole crew again.... We were all on steam, and there was no amount of tinkering that could fix this. This time it was on a first person server. This sounds like a very important thing to fix, our group has decided not to play until this is resolved. I really hope they can do that soon. EDIT: Here's a link to the problem in the DayZ tracker. After a lot of testing into this problem, we've discovered a possible solution. Try signing out and signing back into steam. One of our group tried it, and he had his character back. He was offline to his friends before the character wipe, so when he signed back in he had his character again. I'll post back here the next time it happens.
