Yes, some people are complaining when they get wave banned. However, if sales have recently dropped off over the last few months, why has hacking remained constant and actually, has increased if you look at the huge influx of the new teleported as a naked spawn hack. Let's just say out of 10 people that get global banned, 3 or 4 of them buy a new steam account and Dayz game. Which I think must be the case because the hype of Alpha sales must have slowed down and yet hacking has stayed constant or maybe even increased. Now, if 30% of all people banned buy a new 30 dollar game...... and you only cared about cold, hard profit...... then why would you spend resources on stopping hacking in the first place? So the legit Dayz player is getting screwed over for this shady way of making profit.... If I'm right. -

The only people laughing is Steam, Bohemia, and Rocket..... all the way to the bank. Your sense of faith in the effectiveness of ban waves is freaking laughable. Dayz mod and standalone has seen a steady increase in hacking since 2012. Why? Because all one has to do is register a new Steam account and purchase Dayz again to start the fun all over in the easiest to hack game of all time. Bohemia's business models freaking brilliant I'll have to admit. Why spend money on talent and resources to make hacking harder when you might make more sales by not using any resources on it. -

How can they have vehicles if the just recently realized they have to rebuild the engine? They might have models but I doubt they have vehicles working in any of their builds. If they do then they really picked up the pace compared to the last eight months. -

Sorry to ask but when does that mean we can see or do with the "A3 hex indicators". Does this mean we can make our own tags or skins or just means the game will have new skins to chose from? -

Ah crap, now I know I was wrong then. Are you sure about your belief that if a server crashes, it can still display that there are 36/40 in them? How is that possible that when we refresh, our game still thinks the server exists? If you are correct, then that explains why I see 1-4 people in a server but it never connects me. Can anyone else confirm this? I just don't understand how when we refresh, our client can see a ghost image of a server from a long time ago. -

Guess you didn't read my post here. How do you explain the shit loads of servers that have 1 to 4 people in them but when you try to join, it never tries to load the game at all? You just see the "wait" message in white but your game never tries to load at all. I never see this happen on servers that have 30 to 40 people in them. I only see this on servers that have 1-4 people in them which means they found an exploit to get your client to not connect to their server. -

Yeah we brought this up on the forum a few days ago. That there seems to be a lot of exploiting of servers by the renters lately. There is a lot more private stuff going on than is publicly talked about. The 0/30 or 0/40 servers that won't let you load in I attributed to a glitch or honest problem. But, there are some servers when you enter they kick you out in less than a few minutes. That's obviously an intentional loot farming violation so report those. But, I believe that some servers have found an exploit where they changed something so that when we try to join, it never even joins at all. You just see the wait message in white, but never tries to load at all. I believe this is an exploit because when you refresh the list of servers, it will say there are 1 to 4 people in there. There is no way this is a glitch. The broken ones might say zero. But 1 to 4 people in a server that won't let you try to get in must be intentional. -

Since I need to be more positive the most out of anyone here. I should participate here. I am looking forward to when we get more zombies. I think we will see more cooperative gameplay when there are much more zombies in towns where most of the loot is. If we want supplies, we should almost have to have help in order to get it. I also really am excited to see how the completed zombies will spawn and behave. I would love to see zombies that are really part of the environment, like a body that is always there, and if we come in proximity, then it comes to life. If zombies or players never disappear or spawn, the game will be much more immersive. So I'm hoping to see that. Thirdly, I would love to see more interaction we can do with people and things. For example, I think there will be a way to tie up zombies, or tie them together. -
If you don't fix placeholders while working on the replacement then why are zombies constantly being changed in terms of how they spawn and how they react to melee? Zombies are the number one placeholders seeing how badly broken they are and yet they changed them all the time.

So in 9 months its OK that not one update addressed ambient sounds, desync, awkward controls, hot keys that dont respond, or incredible levels of hacking? I know alpha means you generally add stuff..... But there are such bad core problems that as a courtesy or from an ounce of pride............. Could they not have addressed any of this? Navmesh has been our only taste of addressing a core problem and it is not preventing zombies from clipping through all solid objects. I would have preferred they stop zombies from hitting us after they are dead or while they are facing wrong direction. Hell, delete them until they are not so broken.

I hate this too. Lets pray that when the engine is rebuilt they will not allow such sloppy game design.

Has Anyone Else lost Faith in Dayz?

The navmesh gave me hope before giving up. Even though navmesh is not all working and zombies are still screwed up, I'm hoping the rebuilt engine will bring much more fixes to the game that are badlly needed. So I'm close to giving up by just holding on. -
Ask him how long he has had the same hacks working. I have a feeling that battle eye does not really ban all hackers. Also, ask him if he has been banned in the past, did he simply buy another steam account and Dayz game? I have a theory that many of these guys purchase new accounts if they get caught. Which is why Dayz doesn't give a flying shit about hacks. They make more money off of these guys. Lastly, where did he buy the hacks? Then we can shut down/attack the website that sells them.

But client side is not supposed to have access to other clients. So someone has to hack the game in order to trick the other clients into spawning as a new spawn. At least this is how I understand it. How could it not be a hack? Are you saying there is a button in the menu that says "make everyone in the server into a fresh spawn with no clothes? It's a hack similar to the mod hack where everyone was teleported and killed. How could this not be a hack? -

What? Rocket is on record claiming a hack that is common in the last 5 or 6 days is impossible. If you think Bill Gates was ever so wrong about the many systems he built over the 30 or 35 years of his career than you are out of your mind to compare the two. -

Have you ever played Dayz? I had this same exact hack happen to me twice in the last 3 days. And if you really knew much about dayz you would know that the mod and the Stand alone has hacks up the ass. Rocket, clearly once again, has no clue about the architecture of the game that made him wealthy. Clearly, Rocket should not be leading the Dayz development if he had no clue how easy and rampant this new hack is in the last 5 days. -

Well I was wrong about the new hack where everyone is teleported as a naked spawn not killing your character with the hive. After I logged in a second time since the hack, the hive loaded the black female nude character that was from the hack. So the hack does indeed wipe your main character. Fuck I hate little bitch ass hackers. -

We are the lucky ones but it's Bohemia, Rocket, and Steam that got to split 40 million dollars in cold hard cash for a game that has not seen much core improvement? Are you taking 100,000 dollar mountain trips or Rocket? Now who is the lucky one. -
Funny they worked on everything except the darn things that make the game almost unplayable.... Desync, incredibly awkward and clunky controls, hot keys that never respond, hacking up the ass that I've never heard or seen the levels of in all of my life, and zombies that can hit you while facing backwards and also complete a hit on you even after you made a kill shot. So while you may like the map expansion and loot respawn, I don't know anyone personally who didn't want the big problems fixed first. I will say that adding navmmesh was a step in the right direction so I'm holding on by a thread of hope now thinking the game will be fixed.

New hack. This hacked has fucked over lots pf servers in the last three days. The hacking is embarrassingly easy to do on dayz.
